    Default first ivf cycle

I was wonderig if anyone out there is experiencing thier first ivf cycle?
I have just strated the nasal spray.
I have a 2 and a half daughter(so lucky) and am 41. I had a miscarriage in January and have not concieved after 4 months of clomid. I am now trying this option. My specialist recommended we do this because of my age.
I'd love to share my experience with someone out there.

    Hi Yogamum,

    Welcome to BB!

There are a few people undergoing their first IVF cycle around atm. Why don't you jump into the discussion thread here and introduce yourself. You've find plenty of support from those going through the same thing you are.

    Hi Yogamum,

I'm on my first cycle of IVF too. I've been taking the nasal spray for about a week and a half now. I have my next IVF appt on Thursday when they take bloods to find out my hormone levels. Hopefully I will be starting on the injections the next day. I'm very excited!

I haven't been blessed with children yet, although I have 4 beautiful stepchildren from my husband's first marriage. My first husband and I tried for about 3 years, but nothing happened. I'm crossing everything that IVF works for ne and my husband - we would love a little piece of ourselves to love.

Good luck, and I look forward to hearing your progress.

    Hi Yogamum
i am 40 (41 in jan) have 2 older kids 17 and 20, my partner is 38 and we are trying for our first child together. we have been trying for about 18 months (including 6 on clomid) and just had my first egg collection today!

am feeling pretty sore tonight but happy that we got a high number of eggs (19)

i have to phone tomorrow to find out if any have fertilised - then each day after that to get progress reports on their development - we are aiming for a friday transfer - all going well

i had pretty high eostrogen levels so they did the egg collection a little earlier than planned - and i am using pessaries not injections in an effort to avoid hyper stimulation.

i hope it all goes well for you

Hi hopefulone, let me extend the welcome to join the discussion thread too. You'll find it here: Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception - Nov 2007 #3

There is also another thread for women over 35 or so who are TTC. You can find it here: Older Women TTC ~ October/November 2007. I know it sometimes helps to talk to others in your situation. Feel feel to join in if you want.

Is anyone with melbourne IVF? I have to do a fast track down regulation cycle as they are closing down for two weeks over christmas. We just got in to the program for this year. I stared thee synerol on Saturday and will be having a scan on the 23rd. Im not schedulled for any blood tests. ?? Whaich IVF cycle are you on pookiegirlba?
Good luck hopefulone with the transfer etc.
I have told a few friends but don't feel like socialising much. I don't want to tell people during chit chat that I'm on IVF.
I'm not sure if I'm using the site right. I just throught I would contiune this thread.
Thanks again for feedback. And good luck everyone.

Hello and welcome to BB Yogamum and Hopefulone!
I'm going through my first IVF cycle too (down-reg scan tomorrow) and have found the support and advice from people at BB to be a blessing and so helpful.
I hope you make it over to the LTTTC & AC thread - there's quite a few of us who are having our first ever IVF cycle and so many others who are going through cycles too.
Good luck, and hopefully hear how you're going soon!
