I reckon that's the way to go MM. I think talking about how we are going emotionally, etc would be good. I need to do this more than anything but I keep finding myself sabotaging my efforts

I will officially start tomorrow - although I already know that Tuesday won't be the best as I am finishing at my current workplace and there is lunch and cake

I might be interested but I am so lazy. I reckon I could lose 10 kgs very easy. Walk to the train station (40 mins) and bring lunch to work, and I could do a kg a week. But Christmas always spoils this for me!
LOL ok, 5 kgs in 7 weeks, I'll try to walk that distance 5 times a week, even if not to the train station, and no more hot chips and chicken and gravy rolls for lunch .
Although I've found in the past I can eat what I like if I exercise, but it's a bad habit. Need to be in a good eating habit for WHEN we get UTD, right?
Awesome... I think that is very realistic. It is also my birthday in December so I'd love to fit into a dress that doesn't make me look pregnant, IYKWIM.

im currently walking 3kms on a monday night & doing a 1 hour aqua class on thursday night, still deciding what else to do. for me it is best to have set days for set exercises because by the end of the day i can't be bothered doing anything so i just have it in my mind that mondays i walk and wednesday i do aqua

i would say being organised and having things planned so i don't just grab anything when im hungry

Maruschke: that walk 5 days a week would be great ! imagine if you did just that & didn't even change your diet, you would still lose weight, so imagine where you could be if you ate well too, you have heaps of time before christmas to get things started
I reckon so Maruschke. Just don't go overboard with the exercise or get overheated. I have my embryo transfer on Wednesday so it will just be light walking for me for a week or so after.

I'd LOVE to join. I am the same as you N2L as i have 30kgs to lose although i am not a LTTCer but i did have issues before my DD and difficulty now in that i can't seem to STAY pregnant.
My hurdles are my high insulin but i am taking metformin (how are you going on that? i have been soooo sick!) i have the worst eating habits i don't eat all day then stuff myself in the evenings which isnt good for my blood sugar levels at all. That meal plan you wrote up sounds really good and something i can do. Its my birthday in a month so i'd like to be atleast 5kgs down for that otherwise by chrissy is a great start.
I'd like to drop 10-15kgs before starting TTC again.
you should wear a pedometer to count your steps and see how far you are walking

LMS: welcome to you. what dose of metformin are you on ? and did you increase the dose slowly when you started ? i take 1500mg a day
afm: i have been naughty today, i raced out of the house, dropped the kids at daycare and have been running around doing errands, have only just eaten for the first time today. will get better from here
I'm on 1500mg a day and nope i didnt go slow its probably why i am so sick. I'm ok if i eat regularly even if its a peice of fruit or a yoghurt. But i am just so tired. Ive only been on them for about 5 days now so ill give it a while longer.

I have about 10-15kgs to lose & am currently 5 weeks into a WW program.
SO far I have lost about 5kgs without having to miss out on ice cream & a sweet treat with
my afternoon coffee. It is very much a plan you can see yourself sticking to for life as it really
just teaches you portion control, good eating habits & how to make smarter choices.
They do an online version if you are interested!! Anyway, thought I would put it out there as I
have had such a positive experience. My resolve to loss weight is getting stronger each week rather
than petering off like it has on other diets.
Anyway, good luck to all the ladies trying to shed a few kg's - isn't it funny we all want to get skinny to help us

My day was pretty good. Walked for half hour or more at lunch (slightly uphill). Ate low gi, salad, grill chicken, etc. Lots of water.
I upped my dose of metformin tonight. I have been prescribed 1500mg but have only had 500mg a day for the past nine days. Hopefully that will go well.
I finish my current job tomorrow and am at home for the next few weeks. Normally I am gone 10 hours a day, so hopefully I will be able to plan meals a little better and fit in more walking.
I need to organize a weight loss ticker.
