Like you I was on Chlomid for approx 9 months. At my first appointment with the FS I was told that IUI was our next option, which we decided to go ahead with. After hubby was tested it was determined that because there were no probs on his end that "ovulation induction" without artificial insemination might work for us. As with IUI I started on the daily injections of puregon and after approx 10 days was given the trigger injection pregnyl which brought on the ovulation. At this point, rather than them injecting the sperm, DH and I tried to conceive naturally which I'm happy to say worked first go. After 18 months of trying - we're now 7 weeks pregnant. The injections do make you feel a little off colour but its nothing compared to the morning sickness I'm feeling now!! The pain or discomfort you feel really depends on how your body reacts to the injections. They normally start you on a fairly low dose which means that the side effects arent as bad. I also got some minor cramping but nothing to worry about.
Hope it works out for you and you get your BFP soon.
