I did 4 rounds of IUI last year June - September, it was a fairly simple procedure. Even though I ovulate on my own every month, I still had Gonal F injections from CD2 - CD9 when I went in for a scan to check out my follies. Even with the injections I still only had one good follie anyway. Had a trigger shot of Ovidrel on about CD12, then went in for the IUI 1 or 2 days later. You have to go there in the morning to drop off the semen sample for washing etc, then return in about 2 hours for the insemination. Its over in about 5 minutes and doesn't feel painful at all. The Ovidrel injection caused sore BB's etc as it is HcG, but thats about all. Maybe I was a bit emotional during the injecton phase (and the 2ww - that makes it the whole cycle hee hee), but that could have been from stress and anxiety hoping it would work etc. Unfortunately it didn't work for me so its onto IVF now, but it does work for alot of people! I hope you are one of those!!
