My FS explained some of the problems with ICSI to me the other day... While it does give a better chance at fertilisation and completely bypasses any male factor issues, the act of injecting the sperm into the egg damages it. This is why we had so many with fragmentation problems. He said that if we have to do ICSI again for us that they would probably look into using something called a polscope. Apparently it's a special kind of light source that allows them to see where all the genes are in the egg and inject into it with much less chance of damaging it. Perhaps this is something you may want to look into next time? But I'll be praying real hard that you won't need a next time and that those two little embies you have are fighters!
Boo, wishing you the hugest amounts of good luck for the test today!
Summer, keep hanging in there with DH. Menfolk are fragile things, and as they keep everything inside they can be very hurt but not know how to show it or fix it. But there's one thing you can take away from this - he wants a baby *with you* very, very much. And if he's anything like my DH he'll be a fabulous support when things get rough.
Me... hot flushes from letrozole suck! Big time! It's worse than the clomid hot flushes, but I don't seem to be having any of the emotional effects that I did with the clomid. Here's hoping!
