Long Term TTC & Assisted Conception - August 2007 #2

Hi All,

Haven't posted on this particular thread before but I see some familar faces from lurking around other threads.

As a short intro I am on my second IVF cycle, first one having been cancelled as I overdid the follie factory bit and ended up with an eostregen count over 22000! though lucky for me no OHSS side effects.

I am taking my last Puregon and Pregnyl shots tonight and EPU on Monday at 8am. Sounds a bit silly but as I didn't even get that far last time I am so estactic I think the nurse thought I'd lost it when she called to confirm EPU after my BT's today. I think I might have deafened her on the phone!

I've seen lots of posts about the needles...have to do my own as DH would faint (Rols - good job there - I'm suitably impressed). Anyone on the pregnyl would remember there is a big thick attachment to suck the fluid up with..I told DH that was the needle and could he please give it to me......well I have to get my fun somewhere and I didn't know humans could go that green! DH's contribution to this exercise (apart from the obvious of course) is to tell me how brave I am and he wishes he could take my place (Like I believe that!).

Just a quick little post from me... had my second round of blood tests today, and haven't really recovered. I'm normally find with blood tests and have no problems what so ever - was used to regular blood tests long before we started IVF... Today's problem was that they took 11 vials of blood! A fasting blood test, then 11 vials! I've been rather faint and wobbly at work ever since even though I'm trying to eat, drink and rest as much as possible.
