Thanks Rol. I've shocked myself I must say. I think it's finally sunk in that there is very little I can do to control any of this. Yeah, I can eat well, exercise, stick to my chiro schedule..maybe look at accupunture...but at the end of the day a pregnancy is a miracle...and I don't have any control over them that's up to the big man...I'm just along for the ride. FS did shock me a bit when he started talking about the next step if this doesn't work...taking a cell out of the embryo to check it out to determine which ones to transfer $$$$$$

Yeah, the old $$$. We got our Medicare rebate today and a bit from PHI and with what we have already paid off, we don't have very much owing. Our plan is that if we need to do more stim cycles we'll aim to have the previous one fully paid off before starting the new one, so as not to fall behind. Obviously it depends on the means of each couple, but when you start adding new procedures to the mix, along with other financial commitments and the desire to get on with the job it certainly makes for an interesting balancing act.

Anyway, I think your attitude is super cool

DW fairly tired again. She rang the clinic this morning to get their opinion on whether it's the crinone and whether she should still be using it twice daily. They said it's unlikely to be the crinone (but anything's possible of course) and more likely that she's either up the duff, or it's as a result of her over stimulation and consequent whoopee-do hormone levels. I hadn't considered the latter, but seeing as the fatigue thing has only started this week post t/f, I would've thought if it was over-stim related it would've been more prevalent in the days following EPU, which was nearly two weeks ago. Buggered if I know.

Oh, and DW just rang to tell me she's experienced the 'metallic taste' thing - when drinking filtered water. Of course I interrogated her as to whether the water was fresh, whether it had been changed since the last time she topped up etc. Based on my interrogation, I am satisfied it is her, not the water. But, probably another crinone side effect...

Rols the metallic taste is not a side effect of crinone

Ellie, if you FS is talking about PGD, seriously do have a good think about it. It costs extra yes, about $2k and none of it covered by Medicare, I don't think, but it will stop the possibility of transferring embryos that were never chromosonally normal anyway. That way you know that you're getting the very best chance with the blast that comes through without any abnormalities.

Thanks Sushee...I knew it was P something but kept thinking PDA..lol...I hope we're not going to get to that. The thing that's stuck in my head is the furthest we've got with a pregnancy was 7.5 weeks and that only ended because it was an ectopic and ruptured...seems the tube is friendlier than my uterus? Maybe the antibiotics and steriods will make for a 'nicer' environment? Gosh I hope so! Another $2K ...mmmm...that will need thinking about!

Ellie, what a big week you have had! Im glad things went well with FS today and that you have more plans in place for next ICSI. Tell you what, sounds like your FS is throwing everything at you next time!! He seems really dedicated to getting you that sticky pregnancy. He really seems involved which is great! Day 1 transfer will be different, does that mean they freeze them at day 1 too? You are such a strong person Ellie, i know its going to happen for you
Rols- talk about fatigue! They say Crinone can cause extreme fatigue! Think that's what is happening to me, and also last time i took it. Cant wait to get off the stuff. When is DW's blood test- i think you said Tues??? How exciting!!
Hi to everyone else. Going to work for night shift tonight ewww. So tired. Only four more shifts to go and then on hols and then the big move. Sooo excited! I cant wait to get out of sydney and enjoy the beach. Feeling bloated and crampy and also bit sicky. So tired...
    Hope everyone is well, Mel

Hey Rols, i forgot to say, that apparently the Crinone raises your temperature and this can have the effect of making you also feel sluggish, hence more tired!! Read in the Fertility for Dummies Book. Haaa, bought it for DH as he doesnt like to read "story" books about IVF and its actually ok reading!

    Hi Everyone,
Sorry I havent' posted for a few days. Been very busy with work. Had my second session with Antonia Ruhl yesterday. Even more amazing than the first one. Saw three pregnant ladies while waiting in reception. Hoping it's a good sign. Had another wonderful experience with the pulse therapy. Can definitely feel some movement around my ovaries. Antonia was very happy because the pulse is much stronger than the first time. Both DH and I have started to notice that we have extra energy since taking the Amazon Herbal Tonics. We've been having lots of fun too. I am also taking some herbs called AD01 to help improve my egg quality. I love sitting in the reception area and chatting to other ladies. It is a very uplifting enviroment. Antonia Ruhl is the first therapist that isn't concerned about my age. What a relief when everyone else has been telling me I am too old. DH and I are feeling very optimistic about our work with Antonia. I came across a thank you message for Antonia Ruhl in Monday's Herald Sun Birth Announcements which felt really uplifting too. Conincidence? Personally I don't believe in coincidences.

    Congratulations Sparkles.

A big hello to everyone. Will try to find some time to catch up with all the posts.

    Love,
    Kerri

Yay Sparkles that is so great

Rols - I've been sleeping twelve hours a day since being on the Crinone. taking two a day as well. It must be getting close to BT now...you must be excited!

Ellie - so glad everything is looking up...and you are an inspiration to the rest of us

Mel - how are you going hun...the waiting is driving me crazy but no trip to the shop to buy a HPT yet...not sure if I will last though....three weeks is agony!

Em, Nic, BG, Smithy, Sushee and anyone who is lurking unseen..hope your cycles are all going well whereever they are up to.

on my side - the feeling of nausea has stopped (I should be happy about that right...) Sometimes I think I have a metallic taste but I could be over analysing.
How I am going to focus on work next week i don't know. But only four more weeks and then i go part time Hopefully I will be spending my spare time with Nursery stuff....have not been game to start yet.

    Anyway to everyone

    Cheers
    Shel

Ellie - honey you are so strong and focus on taking the next step so bravely. i just know your precious little bundle will be with you soon. i also know your angels are with my sleeping angel looking down and loving us for all we tried to do for them.

Kerri - good to hear Antonia is making you feel so positive, wish she was over here too!

Yeah, seems conclusive that crinone is the culprit. I wish they'd put that on the instructions with all of the other common side effects.

DW totally normal today, not tired yet and no other symptoms. She had weird/unusual uterine feelings yesterday on and off (like being tickled from the inside I think she said) and the taste that I mentioned. So that's what I am clinging on to at the moment! Seriously, half the time we feel confident, the other half not confident. I keep reminding myself that the world will not stop revolving after a negative BT and that we can try again next cycle.

Sparkles - congratulations... that is amazing. So - you were in a cycle where you weren't even trying? I cant believe it - there is still hope! YAY!! Im having 2 months off after 3 IUI's and before starting ICSI - even going to Fiji for 2 weeks... maybe ill keep my fingers crossed for my own little miracle.. :-)

Rols - good luck - the symptoms sound good. I know what you mean about the waves of confidence and negativity... you almost feel like you will jinx things if you are positive - its hard!

Best of luck to everyone else trying... hopefully there will be even more good news to follow!!

Hmmm... now then, I take it from the lack of response that no one has used Preseed and that no one has any advice for me!?! Rols - its kind of a shameful subject... but ill just go ahead and say it - its a personal lubricant... OMG - how embaressing! But all these drugs and all the stress is taking its toll on my body and I guess I need a little help in that area? I have read that it is one of the few that doesnt contain spermicide (which obviously is what I DONT want). I just wondered if anyone had heard any adverse stories about it??

Anyway - I have to go now and stand infront of a fan or something to get rid of my red cheeks from all the blushing! hehe

Have a good day everyone - and a GREAT weekend!!

    Hi Guys

Oh wow congrats Sparkles that is just fantastic!!! What a wonderful miracle to finish the week off with!

Rols - Enjoy the castle and i hope next week brings you and DW a lovely BFP! The signs look hopeful!

Karena - Don't blush we are all going through AC and there are no secrets left to blush about! I actually didn't know most contained spermicides... so i may have been killing all our chances of falling pg for years! Thanks for educating me!

Shelly - Good luck, hope your holding up well through the TWW and can't wait to hear your results! BFP here you come!

Big hi to everyone else! Im sneaking on at work so have to be quick!
