Nic - you star glad to hear your embies are doing so well, very encouraging. I am having a general for EPU, and I have another US tomorrow morning to see how I am going and when EPU may be, today I have started to feel a bit of discomfort for the first time this cycle so I think those follies are coming on strong, let's just hope they don't go too crazy.
Bei Bei and Mindy good luck for your transfers

    Good luck to everyone and

AFM I'm doing okay. Will go to see the nurses next Wednesday (27th) to have a blood test and possibly start Synarel. I'm feeling very very anxious though, as my DH has wokem up this morning with a massive lump on teh side of his neck - a very swollen lymph gland!!! I'm hoping that it's not the mumps which can cause stertility in men - his SA'a have been very poor anyway without thsi knid of problem. Anyway, he is off to the doc at 3pm.

Nic - thank you for your message, but call me stupid, I can't work out how to reply????? Maybe I haven't done enough posts yet to be able to use that feature????

    Hi everyone,

Have been out of action for a bit with just waiting and not really thinking whilst waiting for my AF to turn up - it still hasn't and now is two weeks overdue. I keep getting cramps and feeling irritable...grrrr....

I hope everyone is doing well - I'm not going to try to catch up as there have been three pages since my last visit...!! Just to say 'hi' and thinking of you all as always...

I usually write poetry regularly, but for some reason I have not written anything on IVF, but last night a poem turned up that I want to share with you all...I can't be there with everyone but this is a part of my heart and soul for you wonderful, warm women.

    The Cradle

    This cradle of mine
    Can not hold the dream

    With the drawing down
    Of the moon
    The whisper passes through
    And death arrives again

    There is no ceremony
    No funeral pyre
    No burial stone
    The tears empty
    To a world
    That can not know

    Where life is created
    Life celebrated
    All faith is placed
    In the fertile grounds

    Where then
    Do I belong?

    The hallowed land
    Within me
    Can not grow the one
    So dearly grieved

    That feminine essence
    Is stripped
    Refined
    Denuded

    That earthly mystery
    Is stolen
    Denied
    Gone

    Yet my cradle lies empty
    Ruby sheets replaced
    With each full moon
    Waiting for
    The dream of all dreams
    Our child

Kate, that is heart wrenchingly beautiful. It is beautifully written, so spot on, and it really epitomises the reality of this roller coaster journey. Thank you for sharing that with us

Kate that was simply stunning. Very well written and you captured the emotion and pain in a very raw and honest way.

Mindy congrats on the 11/12 eggs, sounds like a great number. Good luck now for the transfer

Kate, that is one beautiful poem, well done you!

Mindy, 12, that's a great number, hope you will have great fert report tomorrow, for now, just make the 'hot water bottle' and dvd your best friends...

Marsha, good luck with this weekend, this could be the one!!!

Well, about me, after everything just fall into place for this cycle, my T day started with my 'no talking, mute the mobile' until 930am. I know they will call if there is bad news and I seriously don't want to hear it rings. 'Heart-in-my throat' we got to the clinic, thanks god they didn't call. Then we found out that our blastocyst survive the thaw and ready to transfer, YAY!

Little did I know that my uterus decided to play 'hide and seek' at the moment that FS got everything set and ready to put my 'snow bub' inside..He can't get the catheter to the right angle to get in (oh, did I mention tilted uterus?), anyway, I have to empty my bladder and give my uterus a real talk in the toilet to behave, this time, it is in!
Then I had an afternoon with acupuncture and 'Friends' DVD. B/t is 31 August, so this gonna be a long 11 days.

    Hey Girls,

    Marsha - have fun DTD
Neptune - here's hoping it's not mumps for your hubby
JBM - hoping your plan goes well and I also am a fan of acupunture, so many benefits
Kate - you have a wonderful gift with your writing, your poem has captured the emotions so well
Mindy - glad to here your EPU went well and fingers crossed for good fertilisation and transfer
Bei Bei - hoping your TWW flys by and you are rewarded with a BFP

AFM I had my 3rd scan and BT in a week and the follies are growing not too bad, it's a really fine balance for me between under and over stim but we are hoping they have got it right this time. I started orgalutran antagonist tonight (Did it 30 mins ago and it is still stinging ouch!) My EPU is booked for Monday, and I am just hoping like mad I make it through this stage this time. Both my FS and the nurses are trying to manage my expectations around the transfer as it is highly likely I won't be able to have a transfer this cycle because of risk of overstim. I am a bit bloated already and there were around 20 follies plus lots of smaller ones not worth sizing but nevertheless taking up space. I am working from home the next couple of days so I do as little as possible and rest as much as I can so I can try and prevent overstim (may not work but I guess you have to try). I am very lucky my boss is awesome and very supportive.
    Best wishes all round

    Good Morning Everyone.

Thanks you all so much for you good wishes. I am too nervous to reply to everyone this morning - I can't sit still. I was up at 6 (even though I'm off work today and tomorrow). Cooked DH poached eggs (no pun intended) which he was very surprised about - I got the "why are you being so nice?" (suspicious eyes, suspicious eyes ).

I'm going for Acupunture at 8.30 then I thought I might get the train into the city and leave my car there as I have another session booked for 1.30.

Transfer will be done at 12 noon. I got an update yesterday afternoon....3 were at the partially compacted morula stage (10 - 30 cells) and one was at very early blastocyst stage. I hope they are doing ok today.

Anyway - I'm thinking of you all. And hopefully I will have a whole afternoon to come and catch up with everyone individually.

    X
