    Hello ladies
instead of lurking thought I might post...even though it's still a long way off before EPU, in my head I've started stim. cycle no. 3 as I'm on a pill/synarel crossover cycle (on 2nd week of pill). My clinic sent us our plan at my request...love a plan, you get to see it in black and white, and then I transfer it onto my calender and cross each day off...it makes me visualise getting closer to our dream.

I haven't got time for many personals, but
Krikkit - big congratulations, wonderful news
Loops - did ya poas?? fingers crossed
Tantee - I hope you've not received any more phonecalls, and I hope visit to friends was ok

    Hi Ladies,

Tantee, I'm thinking of you. I had my stomach in my throat last night and this morning thinking the nurses would call us with the same news. My phone rang whilst I was on my way to the hospital for my FET, and I almost threw up with nerves - thought it was the Clinic telling me to turn around and go home. I have my fingers crossed for you and that last remaining embryo is a sticky one. for you.

Airline, my first few weeks on a stim cycle were my worst - the Pill made me feel really ill, like I was on a boat all the time. It did get better once I started the injections. Be kind to yourself and take it easy.

Hi to everyone else, thinking of you all.

AFM, went to the Hospital for my FET this morning. They had thawed my last 6 embryos from Day 2. Three didn't survive the thaw. Three survived the thaw, but one wasn't looking too good today and didn't look like it would reach blastocyst. The other two were doing well and had both reached blast - so we had both transferred back to me. All eggs in one basket...these were my last embryos out of the original 15 that fertilised back in January. I'm feeling really good and positive, but it gets me a bit teary when I think that we started out so hopeful and positive in January, and here we are 9 months later with only the two on board. I remember telling DH that even if the first ET didn't work in January, we still had 14 to go - and we really thought that was our entire family sitting in the lab. Did not think we would need to go back for another stim...and possibly even before the end of the year.

Anyway, enough of that talk. I'm in the TWW and two little embies are gonna stick around and make me a Mumma! And maybe even twins?!

Better go. to everyone, will be back soon.

Tantee- So sorry to hear your news, I know it doesn't really help and I can't imagine what you are going through. Good luck with the ET

Seph- Hope both bubs stick! Look after yourself, I know this is the time when everyone wishes they could close their eyes and wake up in 14 days.

AFM-Last day of pill yay!!!!!! Hopefully thats the last for nausea for a while.

cheers persephone for your thoughts. i've been really, really, really lucky so far. This is my 3rd stim cycle, and my 2nd pill crossover cycle, and so far I've had a few headaches and that's it. Well my skin has broken out like I've never experienced my whole life, which gets me more down when I'm already feeling a bit ****ty that day, but if that's the worst I get then I know I'm lucky. I had a terrible couple of months when I was on Clomid for 6 months, flipping personality transplant, , so I was sooo worried, but so far so good.

The original plan was a stim cycle then FETs (we only got 2 snowbubs with each cycle) but due to gov'ment threats with rebate decided to go stim. cycles till end of year. Of course we hoped it'd take only one....then two, and now we hope 3rd time lucky and all that.

    hello ladies!

Gosh, it doesn't pay to not log in for a couple of days, there are so many posts to catch up on!

sonyalouise - glad you're off the pill now. Hopefully you'll start feeling better soon, and don't suffer too much from the injections. I know I didn't really have any side effects from the drugs (a couple of headaches) though I DID NOT like the trigger drug at all - I think i'm still feeling the effects 10 days later

Seph - will for you that these little embies stick. How cool would twins be?! After all this time you definitely deserve something like this. You must be made of strong stuff indeed to surive a year like that and still be smiling.

airline - i'm with you girl! I'm much calmer if I have the plan written down and feel like i'm in control, even though it's still likely to change at times and i'm not actually in control of anything. But I definitely find it helps me. Enjoy crossing all the days off!

tantee - all the best for tomorrow. I've had the 11th hour phonecall and I know how awful it is, so here's hoping you won't have to experience that. They must be optimistic still if they're going ahead, so that's a good sign and something to hold on to. Sending some sticky vibes your way.

mitf - glad you had your appointment with FS, even if it does sound like a bit of a waste of time...! Fingers crossed AF arrives at a time convient for your ET with your FS. How does she usually act after a stim cycle? Have you had one before? Apologies for my bad memory. And enjoy the last weekend of drinking - I know I certainly did last weekend, though I may have over indulged just a little...

Loops - have you POAS yet?!?!

Krikkit - CONGRATULATIONS I love hearing news like that. Makes me think this IVF caper might actually work after all!!

Onja - with your thaw cycle. I haven't had one but hopefully it does the trick for you.

Nix - I know what you mean about the money side of things. We're looking at having to do another stim cycle since we got nothing out of our first one. So there's another $6500 gone just like that. I don't want to whinge about it too much, we'll pay it gladly if it works, I just want some kind of reassurance it's going to be okay and that I won't have to keep paying for stim cycle after stim cycle. Okay, will shut up now! Are you up to the 'non-drinking' part of your cycle yet?!

Juniper - good luck with the acupuncture. I've only just started, but i'm certainly hopeful about all the literature out there, so here's hoping you reap all the benefits for your next cycle.

Okay, think i've caught up with everyone now, if not, sorry

AFM - we have our appointment with FS tomorrow afternoon to discuss our cancelled ET last week and options for moving forward. I'm very much hoping he: a) has answers for us on what happened to our embies, along side with 'things we've learnt from the failed cycled', and b) says I can go straight into another stim cycle (AF is due any time from Saturday). Has anyone else done back to back stim cycles? Is that generally okay or usually frowned upon? This must be the first time in my life i'm glad for a short cycle!!

Anyway my lovelies, I must be off. DH has just arrived home and is a little cross dinner isn't ready. Well, I just couldn't be bothered cooking and had a sandwich instead. to him.

    bye for now,
    lise xx

    Hey Lise
my experience with my clinic is they like you to have 2 'bleeds' between stim cycles. The first is sadly the cycle that hasn't worked out, and then another. I took a long time for the 2nd to start after my first stim cycle so they put me on the pill then took me off after 2/3 weeks to get a 'withdrawl' bleed...I cross over between still taking pill and starting to sniff the synarel. So this time I asked to go on the pill as soon as my hcg levels were at 0. It still means a 6 week wait between starting pill and ET but....I divide it into sectors and each sector is a sniff or pill or injection and it's a step closer to the 2ww and hopefully our dream to come true

good luck for your app. and hope you get all your answers

    Hi girls

Just popping in very quickly, so not a lot of time.

Seph - congrats that you had 2 make it to blastie. I've been thinking about you all week. Good luck for the rest of the TWW and I am hoping and praying that it works. I don't know why but I just have a good feeling about this one for you, and I really believe that they're going to stick and you'll get your BFP in a couple of weeks.

Loops - Where are you? Have you POAS yet?

Airline - good luck with this cycle. I was in the TWW when you were there last time, and I am so sorry that one didn't end up working for you (hopefully I've got the right girl and that you know what I'm talking about - otherwise, I'm going completely mad).

lise - good luck with FS appointment. Hope it goes well for you.

tantee - good luck with ET today. Hope that embie was a fighter and you get your BFP soon.

sonyalouise - good luck for the next phase of your cycle. It's such a good feeling to come off the pill. It feels like you're actually getting somewhere.

mitf - glad your FS appointment went well (albeit a waste of time). Hope AF arrives for you soon and you can get into your first FET. Will be hoping like mad that this one is it for you. Good luck.

AFM - not much to report. Am on my 6 week break until I can do my FET (since we didn't do ET after our recent stim cycle because of possible OHSS). AF arrived very early (only 9 days after EPU), so I'm already nearly one week into my "break cycle". In a way, I think that it was good to get AF early, because it gets me to my FET earlier, but I also kind of worry that AF arrived so early. Normally I wouldn't have expected her til maybe 12-13 days after EPU but she showed up 9 days after EPU (with spotting the day before too). So don't know if I should be worried about that or not. I know that stim cycles can mess up your body, but mostly I read about girls having their cycles lengthened because of a stim cycle, not shortened. Anyway, enough of that. I have a pretty busy month ahead of me one way or another, which will be a good thing I think. It'll keep my mind of IVF and I'll be back into it before I know it.

Hi to all the girls I missed. Hope everyone is doing ok.

    Wishes xoxo

Hey ladies - Lise you are so right - too much to catch up on when you don't log in for a few days!

Loops - I was reading through waiting to see if you did a post - how are you going? Sounds like tell time is almost upon us - did you POAS - when is your BT due?

Lise - you mentioned the extra money for stim cycle - you get most of that back on medicare though right? Also you said it is $6500 - what clinic are you at - I'm with MIVF and it is $5300 for ICSI IVF cycle? GL with FS I hope you do get some answers. I am not sure on the timing of getting back into a STIM cycle - I've heard they seem to like you to have a break but I will be interested to hear what your FS tells you.

I am almost at the non-drinking part - I guess that is up to personal choice really - I have a hens night and a 40th to go to this Sat night so will let my hair down one last time. But have not been drinking other than 2 nights to drown my sorrows and then this Sat night and I will be off it again.

Sonyalouise - thanks for your thoughts - I had not yet posted where I was at, finally made the appointment yesterday - figured if I left it a bit longer it was less days to wait - funny the games we play in our heads!
I am booked in next Thurs for a scan to see where my levels are at and if Ovu is on the horizon... thoughts are it will probably be a bit early for this ti show but as you all know once we have that happening it will be back in to thaw and transfer.

Tantee - big hugs to you that must be so hard and daughnting. After reading about your thawing - I realize that nothing is guaranteed in all this hey! I think I will focus all my 'luck generating energy' on our little bubsicles thawing OK so we can do a transfer and not loose any in the process. In the back of my mind though, with only 2 in the freezer, I feel another stim cycle is not so unrealistic :-(

Krikkit - Congrats again! great news and so good to read that IT DOES HAPPEN!!!!

Hi to everyone else sorry I have missed so many - there was so much to catch up on and I am at work so better get back to it!

Lise, I did back-to-back stim cycles earlier this year. Each time I did the long down-reg protocol so it was suppression cycle, stim cycle, suppression cycle, stim cycle... and then a 5 month break (2 months to go!!) I just had to get a b/t at 7DPO during the second suppression cycle to prove I had O'd before they would let me start the synarel. GL and I hope your appointment goes well.

tantee, I'm sorry to hear about the thaw success rate. I hope you don't get another phone call and that the little battler you've got left is The One.

    Hi Ladies,

I've been trying really hard to keep up with everyone in this thread so I will apologise in advance if I miss anyone .

Persephone - Thanx for the welcome and another GOOD LUCK with your 2WW! I hope this is the one for you..

AllyG - A late (sorry) and I hope you found out the answer to your question... I'm sorry that your 1st and 2nd cycle has not worked out well and good luck with the next.

wishes - I hope your break goes really fast for you and well wishes for your up and coming FET.

airline - We are thinking along the same lines and are going to try and squish in 2 stim cycles before the end of the year just in case... I hope it is 3rd time lucky for you !

lise - Good Luck with your appointment today and hope your FS has some new ideas for you. Like wishes, I have been told by my clinic that you have to have 2 'bleeds' before starting another stim or FET. All clinics are different though..

sonyalouise - I'm glad that you are feeling better and I hope that the nausea subsides. Good luck with your cycle.

mitf - I hope AF arrives soon (this is about the only time us girls would say that!) and good luck with your natural 2WW!

tantee - Still thinking of you and that all has gone well and good luck with the transfer .

Onja - Thank you for the good luck wishes and same back to u! I hope that you have found a good FS as I wouldn't want to wait that long either!

Loops - Again, thinking of you and fingers crossed that AF has not shown her ugly head!

Nix - Good Luck with your up and coming FET and I know how you feel about the $ side of things... just adds that much more pressure. I cried when I heard how much the FET was although only ended up being out of pocket $300 which wasn't as bad as I first thought.

juniper - I hope the acupuncture does the trick for you ! I can relate about the work thing as well. I always feel so guilty about taking time off work even though I shouldn't because it's not my choice to be doing IVF!

melttc - Good Luck with your cycle and I hope you are 1st time lucky !

AFM ? This is definitely the longest post I have ever done (and whilst at work.. so naughty)! Still patiently waiting (not!) to start Lucrin on the 25 Sept so 8 sleeps to go and counting down! Have been feeling well the last week although had another 'down' day yesterday as received a text from friend announcing that she is having a baby girl. It just hurts and wonder when I will be able to make a similar announcement. Feeling slightly better today though and heading to yoga tonight so hopefully that will help.

Anyways.. talk to you all soon and hope that everyone has a good day!
