Brunette - I hope you are feeling a bit better today....but I know how you feel. Sometimes it is all just too much. I am on a bit of a downer at the moment too but the best thing is to just talk it out. Don't ever apologise for venting and telling it how it is....if you don't do that you'll implode. And you are definitely not the only one who avoids kids parties etc, I do it all the time! If they are real friends then they will understand. We just have to believe that it WILL be worth it. Hang in there ok xxx

Rob - Thank u for your story. I know I am emotional at the moment, but it made me cry! I haven't been on here long and to be honest I had my doubts but your right, it is just nice to know that we are not alone in this. Try not to stress and just muster all the positive thoughts you can, by the sounds of it you won't have to try too hard. You sound like you have a beautiful family and next year xmas will be even better

AFM - After they told me to just go straight into my next cycle, they called me the day after and put it off til Jan due to all the public holidays! But the doctor also said that usually when you are down to just one frosty that they do a whole new cycle to get more embies. Has anyone had this before? Now I'm confused and don't know what to do.

Hi Bj, we have just had to make the same decision, and we have chosen the fresh stim cycle as its really a shame to pay for a FET for only 1 embie. We'd rather add to it than use only 1.
Hopefully we end up with something to add to it as well as a fresh transfer, its hard with PGD as you can end up with nothing to transfer or freeze. My last cycle was quite a good one to get 1 transfer and 1 frosty.

What i did was give hubby all the info, then he came back with 'his idea' of another stim cycle, too easy, lol.

murray the pups are doing great. lily is getting the hang og being a mama,though she gets really fretful if a few of them are whimpering from opposite ends of the pen. the are absolutely adorable and even DP spent time yesterday afternoon and last night laying beside pen talking to lily and the puppies

Hey ladies - Thank you all for your lovely supportive comments and, most of all, your understanding. I don't think anyone who hasn't been through IVF really understands what it's like - apart from our partners, I suppose.

Jaki - You're right; we do have 11 snowbubs waiting for us. I'm going to call the clinic today and get the BT brought forward as I am now having serious spotting and just want to get it over and done with and stop the steroids and clexane injections. I've never done a frozen transfer so it will be all new to me. Hopefully it's not as invasive as a stim cycle.

Murraycod - Good to know I'm not the only one who is sensitive at kids parties. I had to buy the present this week, and here I was in Pumpkin Patch looking at little 000 jumpsuits with cute tigers and things on them and I had to stop myself from crying! Aaaagh. GL to you for your first cycle. It's a big learning curve but it's good to have a forum such as this to ask questions and get answers.

Emstar - I'm crossing my fingers for you babe. I think you've got lots of positive signs going for you. Hang in there. Good news that they've brought forward the BT!

BJ - Thanks for your support. Another one of us who sagely makes decisions to avoid children's parties Sometimes we just have to protect ourselves, hey?

Trubabe - I haven't looked at your link yet but will do so today. I absolutely love dogs and puppies (with their little puppy breath) and adorable. I am a ****er spaniel fan myself

Juniper - It's good that you can fit another cycle in before Xmas and before the changes to the safety net. I've never done an antagonist (short) cycle; always the long down reg which just goes on forever and a day. I just want the BT to confirm what I know already so I can get on with Xmas and start again in 2010. GL to you for this cycle!

Rob - GL for your scan on Monday. I am sure everything will be fine but totally understandable that you have concerns post the positive result. I know I would be the same; but then I am a bit of a worry wort!

bj*81, we're doing this fresh cycle because we only have 1 frostie. Last time we had 2 and only 1 survived the thaw. I couldn't handle starting a cycle with only 1 and worrying the whole time about having something to transfer.

Brunette, I've done 3 long down reg cycle previously and am really liking this antagonist one. No nasal spray, but 4 extra injections. The injections are dearer than the synarel though ($300 ($75 /dose) compared to $110). But I seem to have responded better.

Afm, EPU is confirmed for 8am Monday. Lol, yay for having to be in the city by 6.45am!! We saw 5 mature follies (up to 24mm) on the right again today, but he couldn't find the left one this morning. He didn't want to push to find it and kept saying he could do that when I was asleep on Monday... I'm still hoping we'll get more eggs than we've gotten in the past (have previously had 5 or 6), but I guess we'll find out Monday. I'm also hoping all these supplements from the acupuncturist will mean they're much better eggs too!

Hi Ladies

Haven't posted for a while but been looking in from time to time. It's seems to me that we are all starting to feel a bit down with Christmas around the corner. As much as we all say it's ok that it didn't happen we can let out hair down a bit we all know that we would trade this in a second. Anyway as I was reading the posts it struck me that we should be thankful at Christmas for all we have and all that is to come especially since the symbol represents what we pray for each time we all go through the dreaded waiting.

Sorry for no personals I'm actaully quite busy at the moment but I'm thinking of all of you
