Rai, I asked a doctor once coz someone at work had shingles. She said it's only contagious if you have not had chicken pox and rub the sores. If you've had chicken pox apparently you can't catch shingles, you can develop them but that could happen any time, nOt from contact. However she said, try not to touch someone else's sores. Well duh! If unsure, call the nurses line for reassurance.

I had chicken pox when I was three and got shingles when I was six...very rare for a kid to get it apparently but much better than getting it as an adult...don't take any chances!

Just started all our PGD testing again as our clinic now uses a new clinic for their feasibility testing...hoping it doesn't take too long to get it sorted...fx

hoping everyone is travelling well xx

    Jumping back in this group

after losing Zachary at 8 weeks to T18. I am going a bit bonkers, over a year of TTC we finally get preggers and he had T18... I mean really?? whats the chances

Hubby wrote a pleading email to our FS and they are letting us do another FET cycle at a discount and also allowing us to pay it off rather than upfront, claiming medicare first too. Some light of hope and generosity at this monumental crappy time.

I am not sure when I am going to start I have have one normal AF before we start, as my DC was on the 31st of December. I am stressing a bit as my boobies are still leaking as well which may hold off AF. I have tried the meds to dry it up and they just make me feel so sick. Any advice to get them to dry up?

Krikkit, kellymom (website) has some links, but they seem to just focus on lactation after a late or neonatal loss, so not sure if you want to read them (might be upsetting?). I suspect you may have to wait it out until your hormones are back to normal. I would also postpone the FET until you have stopped leaking because your prolactin is probably elevated, which may interfere with the FET. I know most clinics won't allow you to do an IVF cycle while breastfeeding (or until 3 months after weaning) because of the hormones; I think the same may apply for FETs. At the very least I'd be discussing the situation with your FS to get their advice.

me4ever - Thanks FX, i hate the tww my imagination goes wild with symptoms drives me crazy, the only sympton i'm not imagining
is really bad diarrhoea since i had the iui

miloro - Thank You, so pleased i have had chicken pox but i need to see her this week at a funeral so i will just make sure i dont hug or kiss her.

Krikkit - Welcome back, I'm so so sorry to hear of your loss , That's great there letting you do another FET at a discount that will
at least make life a bit easier at such a difficult time. I'm honestly not sure about drying up milk sorry

AFM - I hate what goes on in your head in the tww

krikkit - welcome back, I hope you can do another FET soon and glad FS is looking after you. I'm so sorry for your loss though

Rai - I hope the rest of your TWW doesn't drive you too crazy! FX for a BFP

AFM - Sitting at work drinking my second can of coke zero for the day and also had 2 cups of tea earlier and have made the decision to cut out caffeine as of now. What do you think - waste of time or worth it??? I figure I want to give this IVF cycle the best chance....

faye - Thank you, I gave up caffeine and was drinking decaf tea and even gave up sugar with my tea, and i still am drinking the decaf with no sugar.
I have heard quite a few times that giving up caffeine is a good thing while ttc it still took me ages to conceive giving it up so i honestly dont know. What
i do know is you have to be happy and know you have done everything you think is going to give you the best chance at ivf its a decision that you have to
be happy with sorry i have not been much help but goodluck xxx

Having a bit of a "flat" day today. I really find that I'm not myself when I'm on the pill - seems to really make me feel quite depressed. Doesn't help that things are quiet at work so I have too much time on my hands to think and wonder if this TTC journey will ever end.

Another 1 1/2 weeks on the pill then hopefully this cycle will move along a bit quicker!

    Goodmorning Ladies
Bit of jumping back into the thread too.
I was planning to have a FET in October but life got in the way and now it will be next wee how exciting and scary and OMG did the price go up in three years it was $500 when I concieved my DS now its $1500. Thank goodness for VISA
Started taking Progynova 2mg last Sunday and have been feeling so bloated. Scan on Wednesday then fingers crossed TWW begins Saturday week.
Lots of stuff going through my mind but three frosties in the deep freeze, if none take that's it she cried be thankful for DS who was concieved IFV ICSI almost four years ago It's his 3rd birthday today.
Goodluck Furbabies what an exciting day to come.
Juniper the waiting is awful, not my strong point either.
Faye Not a big fan of the pills either, make me cranky also well done on caffine, it was my D Day yesterday, I haven't killed anyone yet but have eaten alot of pumpkin seeds lol
rai - sympathy I'll be in the TWW headspace soon, would be nice to be knocked out I think.
