Megan - Fantastic news that your DH is now home

Fi - hope all goes well on Monday, will be thinking of you

Well, we told MIL tonight about all that has been happening. She is excited, but I'm worried that she won't be able to contain the excitement and will have to tell someone or anyone!

Tracey, well done babe. Thinking of you. Enjoy your last night of rebelling!

Megan, thank goodness DH is getting better...no rest for the wicked. Goo dluck with the cycle.

Chez, thanks for the understanding, you are too right. We have always had so many friends that we were running ragged to catch up with all and people are so easily offended if you don't. Quality not quantity.

Watching the Live Earth, concert right now, brilliant. Just came back from the city for the Tour de France prologue, a busy and fantastic day. Big crowds of people together with that feelign of excitement and looove! Gives me goose bumps all over. Love it.

Take care all thinking of you all.

    Hi Everyone,

Fi - Hoping your EPU goes well today. I will be thinking of you & hoping you recover quickly. Transferring soon?

Sonja - Still have my eye on Wednesday. Fingers crossed for a safe thaw for you and easy transfer.

Megan - Wonderful news DH is home. 40 stitches is a lot & I bet its painful to move but hoping he's doing ok. Your hands sound full but at least he's getting better. The dreaded rash is probably the least of your worries. Good to see your out of the woods. I was ecstatic to hear you are continuing with your cycle. That's awesome news. Good things are coming. May your heart keep strong!

Chez - Still having "good" signs?

Nic - Brave to tell MIL. I dont know any MIL's that keep a secret. We havent told my MIL but my mum knows. Last time we told MIL, the whole family found out & some were upset we didnt tell them ourselves. Hope that this doesnt happen to you. My MIL is sweet, caring & loving but she's no secret keeper. It does add to your own excitement when you tell someone. Even I had to tell my mum. I couldnt contain it. I am so happy she is excited for you both and that her secret keeping adds to your relationship. Bond, Bond, Bond!

Hippy Mum - Is Tour de France that bike race? Doesnt Lance Armstrong race it? Did you see him? Wasnt he with Sheryl Crow & they broke up cos she wanted kids & he didnt so she left him & adopted? Thats what I heard anyway. Crowds are always an adrenaline pumping to be in. What an awesome day to have! Its fun to do other stuff than just be thinking IVF all the time. Its healing.

Me - Awaiting my daily call from FS. Yesterday's call came & I cried. Just goes to show you Im not as positive as I make out to be! Still had 8 and 7 were at 4 cells & moving along "beautifully." One was still at 2 cells & "fragmented." Whatever that means. FS said that it could still move to 4 cells in the next 24 hours. I asked if there was a chance I could lose it and she said that they are just not sure at this stage. It could turn and be just fine. Instead of feeling fantastic on the 7, I felt the loss of one, even though I havent lost it yet. I think after all the years of this, I have become so sensitive to the loss because I havent been able to be excited for the gain. DH was so supportive trying to help me be excited for the 7.

Can you believe all the good news that has happened lately on this thread? Everyone is so busy moving forward! Do you think there is some luck that the media were saying because of Saturday's date 07.07.07 or is it just this threads "time".

    Have a great day.

Im going to sit by the phone & wait.......again........

Traceylee - OOOooo throw a little of that luck our way, we sorely need it!!! And 7 out of 8 is a fantastic result ... you should be exceptionally proud of that ...whilst the losses hurt more than words can say, in this IVF business, you've gotta take your victories where you can!!! *hugs*

Fi - Here's hoping your OPU went really well today and they find lots of lovely eggs ... must be an exciting time ... knowing that all those injections are worth something!

Megan - How's our resident super hubby and you going??? Where are you up to in your cycle now??? Here's hoping he gets well soon ... as he'll have a PG wife to deal with pretty soon I hope ....

Us - Not alot to report ... we've had our BT's done, Dan's "inbred test" (karyotype/gene mapping) gets done today ... who'd a thought this one little test would create such a hoo haa ... he has to be at the hospital by 11am so they can fly his blood express, to an awaiting van just for it where it'll be sent immediately to the hospital where the lab guys are waiting ... didn't realise that it has to be done within a certain time period for the most accurate results.

Here's hoping all this effort isn't in vain and we get the all clear on it!!!

FI - hope evrything goes smoothly and as painfree as possible today. fingers crossed for an awesome result.

Traceylee - i understand how you felt about the one 'loss' we had 6 fertilise and one just developed way too quick so that was a loss, but another barely changed in 4 days and the embryologist said we would probably lose that one too, but when i went in for my transfer in the last 24 hours it had caought up with the others and was just as good quality as my other 4! so you never know hun, but 7!!!!! wow!!!!!!!! that definately beats the statistics so far....

Me- cant wait for 3.30 tomorrow (perth time) so i find out how my babies are at defrosting. gawd i hope at least one survives. im only having one put in but it would be nice to have a 'back-up' incase this cycle doesnt work either..... oh the stress, the stress...

Good luck to everyone waiting for procedures and results.

Diva, is the testing that your bloke is having done a standard thing or done for another reason? We haven't had this raised or suggested with us...

    Hi Again,

Update: Was not a happy puppy but Sonya you helped me see that this process is the norm. I havent gone blastie before so this stage is all new. I wanted blasties this time, it saves me doing a year of miscarriages, if that be the case.

1 is at 8 cells & going really well. Where it should be. This one is the one I hope to have transferred on Wednesday.
1 is at 7 cells & 2 at 6. They are ok but they were hoping that they would have been at 8by the time they called me at 1pm. They can change. Their mums counting on it.
2 more at 6 cells but look "fragmented". What is that? They are not as good as the 2 6's above.
1 at 5 & 1 at 3 doesnt look real good seeing they all should be at 8 & tomorrow 16. Slim chance.

Called DH with the news & he went to the gutter. He had his heart set on the whole 7. It was my turn to lift him. That wheel just keeps turnin'.

Hoping 7 & 6 catch up cos I need 32 cells Wednesday. They are calling me tomorrow and depending what happens tonight, they will book me an appointment for Wednesday!!!! Yipppppeeee. Im on my knees and arms stretched out pleading for this to happen.

Mum of 5 - Im at IVF Aust & having one put back in.

Sonya - Will be thinking of you at 7.30 tomorrow night (Sydney time). Throwing some babydust your way. Cant wait to hear your news. You must be beside yourself with anticipation. What do you mean by "backup"? Do I need a backup? Are they thawing all your snowbuds? Can they freeze again after thawed?

Fi - You doing ok. Drink lots of water, feet up & make sure you have that bell for DH to provide room service!

Diva n Dan - Wow, looks like you have everyone on stand-by. Hoping results come back in your favour.

    Take Care, Tracey

Rols - How are you going??? And the "karyotype" test is for ICIS, just making sure that there's no gene defects in Dan that would prohibit standard IVF. I honestly couldn't tell you if it's standard practise or not, as it's our first time!!! I suppose they just want to cover all the bases to improve the success rate ...

Sonya - I have all our fingers and toes crossed that your first little emby thaws out beautifully so you still have lots of snowbabies for future brothers and sisters ...

Traceylee - Looks like things are really moving for you too!!! Is the ET still all set for Wednesday???

Us - Poor Dan had his first bad BT ... try as they might they had a heck of a time getting a sample ... first they pushed it in ... then out ... then shook it all about ... unfortunately they also hit his ulna nerve so his poor arm's feeling a bit worse for wear ... should get the results for all these BT's at the end of the week ... here's hoping there's nothing but good news ....

    All the very best Sonya.

Thanks for the info Diva. Sorry to hear about Dan's hassles!

Sonya / Kotare - how are you both travelling?

Nic, don't you just hate not knowing whether other people can keep their traps under control?!

Wonder how Ellie is going? And BG? And everyone else? (incl BW).
