Bunny- Nope I'm having issues with my lining being way too thin! Pitty I can't just take some of yours and fix the problem for both of us. What are they doing to thin your lining?
Oh if only! Not sure what's causing it. It may be a ghost follicle hanging around from last cycle causing my progesterone to rise too early and cause my lining to thicken too early. I have to freeze this cycle (if we have any to freeze) not sure what plan is if it's still too thick to do a FET
Jasmine - I requested another scan the day before transfer when my lining was only 6.4mm. After 5 days of taking progynova 2mg 3xday my lining had not changed at all - so I cancelled that cycle myself as didn't want to waste an embryo, the money & also most importantly the emotional side when it would have failed. It has been found out since then I don't respond to progynova very well though. You can always ask for a scan on Tuesday to see what's happening. People can get pregnant with thinner lining than 8mm but from beginning chances are less. I personally will not do a transfer if my lining is less than 7.5mm as have trouble with mine even with drugs to help. The only Bfp I have got my lining was 8mm and that's the thickest it's ever got to.
Juniper - so sorry your dh has not taken the news well at all. At least you have got it off your chest now & hopefully once he has absorbed the news he may change his mind about ttc. As the others have said there is always a chance it will work. Sending hugs your way Hun. Hopefully this cycle of iui had worked & you are pregnant right now.
Bunny feet - hope your fs has some ideas as to how to thin your lining.
Juniper - can you please change me to taking a break - waiting to see dr next week to see what's our next step. Why isn't this easier for all of us? It is just not fair!

Beau- I did think about asking the clinic for a scan tomorrow but when I spoke to my FS last week at my scan he told me not to worry and that my lining will be fine for transfer. At that stage it was 7mm and I was just over a week into my Progynova tablets... I'm taking 6x 2mg a day! If I get them to do a scan before my transfer on Wednesday can they freeze the embryo again if my lining is too thin?
I have had same issue on CD2 Juniper my lining is always 6-7 and my FS likes it to be around 4. When he scaned me along the cycle it seemed to thin out and looked good on scan (13.4) But different story on blood results. Seemingly I have a follicle that hung around from last month (functioning cyst producing hormones) that measured 29mm (rest were around 15mm) and as this folicle is so far ahead its causing my progesterone levels to rise too early and make my lining too thick too soon (its called premature luteinisation). Im wondering is this guy causing the problem each month with my lining being too thick. I have to freeze embyros and do a frozen cycle whenever my lining behaves it self! And pray we have some to freeze. So worried as we had none 2 freeze last round But good news this morning is we had a great number, 20 eggs 18 mature so should have lots to choose from! That's if my DH very dodgy sperm is good Much better result than last time and this time I took Melatonin, Q 10 weekly acupuncture and herbs. FX for good news at end of week!
Bunnyfeet, that's a great result for the eggs! FX you get some top quality embryos from them! Thanks for explaining the lining issue for me. My lining is usually around the same (13.5mm) at trigger but I guess my hormones must be okay.
Yes that's perfect lining for trigger time and good sign for your hormones, all good signs ps oh and other thing we did different this time was both DH and I went gluten free on recommendation. Seemingly more and more IVF clinics are recommending doing this
Hahaha glorious, l was the same last week!
AF arrived yesterday and l thought l was going to faint. I was doing the dishes after lunch and suddenly had to run to the toilet because l feel like l was going to have diarrhea, l was on the toilet and started to feel so sick, sweating cold and shaking and started bleeding as if l was having a pee... and then vomited, and that was it, hubby said that once l vomited the color came back on my face, that lasted like 10 min but felt like hours, went yo bed, slep for an hour and woke up feeling ok. Today l didnt feel bad, just a little headache in the morning. So, today is CD2 for me, l wonder if i should expect the ivf messed my cycle up or things should settle now and come back to normal?
CatyO, that's what the first few hours of my chem pg was like. Lasted 4 hours for me, so glad it was much quicker for you. I find O is usually delayed by about a week in the cycle after an IVF, but that doesn't happen for everyone.
Just wanting to rack everyone's brains on the use of DHEA.
This is my first full cycle after my m m/c and have started taking DHEA. Currently AF is 4 days late, my face is breaking out massively (not normal for me) & it's almost like I have O'd twice this cycle going by mucus secretions (sorry if TMI!). Is this normal or should I be calling the clinic to get some advice?
Joe My friend going thru ivf had some side effects in DHEA. She was on it for 3 months. She had lots of break outs and her hair thinned out a bit so keep an eye for that as wen that happend her FS said stop. It increases your testosterone so there's a shift in hormones which will bring about some changes every one is different. But on upside she had extremely extremely low amh and got 5 eggs 5 fertilized and 2 blasts so she reckons it definitely helped
But you know, no harm passing it by your FN
Joe, have a chat with your FS about it, just to be safe. I definitely had the skin break out! About 3 weeks into taking it, my skin broke out like I was 13 again! Mostly on my torso, thank goodness, but a few on my face. Another few weeks on it settled down somewhat (still more than normal but much better than the initial break out). Hadn't connected the LP CM to it, but it's possible. It didn't delay AF for me, but I have stuck with the 25mg dose (Dr said to take 75mg in the rest cycle, but I didn't because of the initial skin break out - by the time that settled down it was too late in the cycle to change).

Juniper- That's a positive sign that DH was asking about donor embryos.. Maybe with time he will come around and things will work out Xx
MissB- Bugger about having to wait till August for a FET! I don't really understand all this stuff about having to wait for tx after Synarel. In my last ivf cycle I used Synarel till the day of trigger and had a fresh ET.. Which resulted in a BFP. Anyway fingers crossed tightly that your August FET brings some great news Xx
Bunny- Well done on such a massive haul of eggs... You've gotta be happy with 20.. Surely you will end up with a nice little supply for the freezer Xx

And the Crinone is making me feel like cr@p.. Have constant headaches and nausea. Is this normal??
I took Crinone after first ivf and will be taking it again this time. I felt so crap in general as I was on Ralovera Progynova and Clexane too so not sure what was causing me to feel crappy. Maybe check the info leaflet for side effects and check it with ur FS. Oh I can only imagine your nerves ill be Same as you soon hoping my lining behaves so we can do transfer too.
