Sari - congratulations on your BFP, what a great start to christmas. I reckon sometimes it is easier to prepare yourself for that BFN, but when you do get that BFP you sort of go into shock for a few days. Congratulations. I can't beleive how many BFP's I am reading, fingers crossed there are many more on the way, including one for me. Well done and again congratulations.

loula - Sorry to hear you are a little down, I totally understand where you are coming from, I am only into the 4th day in the 2ww. Just taking it easy and trying to be normal. Had a bit of concern last night, got a little crampy and felt a bit of period pain, so that was a bit worring. Hey if it is meant to be it will be and I know it will happen one day, we have been there before but we had a MC so it is not like it can't happen, but I guess like everyone you always have at the back of your mind, maybe it might not ever happen, but I guess you can only try. Wish you all the best for your BT and I hope you get a great surprise. Please try and stay strong and positive and it is OK to feel down and vent. Your DH sounds so great and what a wonderful way to celebrate your 1st anniversary and a great time out from life and stresses. All the best and sticky vibes and baby dust for you, we are all here for you if needed but maybe not

    CONGRATULATIONS SARI

I wish you all the best for the next nine months, I would say after all this time that you so deserve it.
I can't imagine what it would have been like when they told you over the phone that you had a BFP especially when you were'nt expecting it.
    What a wonderful xmas present.

    Hi Ladies!
Just wanted to say congratulations Sari!
What wonderful news - and how perfect for Christmas!!!
I can't imagine your emotions right now, enjoy every moment of it!!!
It's so great to get on here and read about people getting positive results - sometimes it feels like this is all a dream and a positive with IVF isn't a reality..... so great to hear it can happen so we can all have the strength to keep trying!!!
Congratulations to you, and my best wishes to all of you ladies on the 2ww
Anyway, I'm off to the specialist tomorrow in hope of him shedding a little light on why he thinks my embies just won't stick?
Will report back and let you know my progress!

    Hi Guys

Loula - sorry to see that you didnt get you BFP.

Nic - good luck with your next cycle

Macca -i had bad period pain and a psycho personality (the worst ever) one week after transfer, I assume that this was the strat of AF... so you never know. Good luck with your wait

As macca said in her last post it really is a relief just to know that I can get pregnant, I was really beginning to think that maybe this was never goning to happen, so it is a bit of a relief and makes me feel positive for the future.

Thanks to everyone for your wishes... I have started to have bleeding and cramping - and strong pain so I am beginning to freak out. I have read some posts on BB to get some more info, but it is still pretty scary as it currenlty appears to be getting worse. I cant beleive it, but thank god for my Dh who is being just wonderful.

Well it's back to the couch and waiting to ring the FS tomorrow.

    Good luck to everyone

    Oh sari

Please rest up and take care of yourself. im thinking of you. even when you finally get pg it really doesnt get any easier. did your nurse give you any idea on what your levels were, i mean not that that makes any diff really as i have known lots of girls to get very low levels and go onto a very h&h pg

    Sending you all my Love

Sari - Sorry to hear you had a little freak out and it is very nomal to feel the cramps and have spotting in the early days, but it never makes the mind rest and you are watch ever sign and worry about ever pain in the body. What where your levels?

My 2ww is counting down, only 6 days til the BIG Test, however feeling that it maybe a BFN. Starting to feel the AF is coming, I have hot flushes and headaches and just feel yuck, but hey if it is a BFN it will be fine, yes I will have my cry and ask why but then I will be back on the horse trying again early in 2007. My family members are just so positive they think it will be a definate yes and part of me wants to beleive that too, but my body is telling me other things at the moment, but who knows!

Hope everyone else is doing well and sticky vibes and baby dust for you all.

    Hi all,

    Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

Loula - happy anniversary! Sorry you had a bfn but I'm glad you didn't let it spoil you night.
That's one thing we all have to remember through this ttc journey is that we still need to enjoy life & our loved ones.

Nic - sorry about that witch arriving, just doesn't seem to get the message does she!

Sari - I'm sure that everything will be fine but I can understand how freaked out you would be.

Twomums - sorry about af arriving, get stuck into some retail therapy to make you feel better.

Macca - sending positive vibes your way.

Well I O'd yesterday so tried to get in some bding, hoping like mad that this month will be the month. (like we all do every month.)
Mind you seeing as it's such a busy month my mind is able to concentrate on other things beside ttc.

Lou, so sorry to hear about your BFN. I'm glad you were still able to enjoy your anniversary though.
Nic, sorry to hear AF arrived. She just can't take a hint can she?
Sari, how scary to be going through what you are. Hope things are a bit better now. Make sure you get lots of rest (although I am sure you are!)
Jo, hope this is your month!!
Megan, bugger about your BFN this cycle. It looks like we're both out until next year now!!
As for me, STILL waiting for AF to arrive. I am now on CD35 of what is normally a 26-28 day cycle. I am assuming it's because of my IVF cycle that things aren't quite back to normal, so I'm just plodding along for now. I am not testing. I have decided I am not putting myself through that. I will wait another week and if still no AF I will test or go to the dr. I'm sure I'll be back at CD1 soon!

    Hi Ladies!
Well, I had my app with the laparoscopic specialist yesterday - he is absolutely furious I haven't been referred sooner - he said I should have been referred after our BFN in April.
Good news though, I am booked in for the lap 8th Jan - he wanted to do it next Mon, but its my last week of work for 6 weeks (I teach piano & work for myself, I don't teach thru the school hol's) and I really need to work and make some money before I have 6 weeks of no income!!!
So Jan 8th should be here fast enough with Christmas in the middle of things!
He's going to have a look around and fix whatever needs fixing - seems to think the reason my embies aren't sticking is because of scar tissue and adhesions, so he's going to remove them in the hope that thats all we need!
He also wants me to change clinics for our next cycle after having 4 unsuccessful stim cycles with the same clinic.... he has referred me to Dr Mark Bowman at Sdney IVF - are any of you ladies with him???
Any info you could give me would be much appreciated... I just love everyone at out clinic, its a hard change to make, especially if our only problem is the scar tissue, I feel like we're abandoning our clinic when its not their fault.... aaauuggghh the guilt!!!
Starting at a new clinic feels like we're starting all over again, but this can only be a good thing I guess!!!
Dr Bowman is a lot more expensive than what we have been paying, which is another issue too, straight after Christmas!!!! Not that you can put a price on getting our babies in the end, but it certainly puts a detour into the journey!!!
Would love any input from you all, especially if you have been treated with Dr Bowman, or Sydney IVF.
Thanks so much, and best wishes to everyone on 2ww, and everyone else as well!!!

    Hi all,

Megan - I hope you can get af soon (usually we don't want her to come), the sooner she comes the sooner you can try again.

Holly - I'm glad you are able to have your surgery soon, it's awful when you have to wait.
Hopefully that will do the trick for you.
Bummer though that you have to change clinics especially when you feel comfortable there.
However if you don't want to you don't have to, do what you feel right with.

    Jo
