    Hi everyone

Possums, glad you had a great break. How frustrating being in limbo between HPT and AF. I hope you get surprise and a BFP turns up. If not, hope Jan comes along speedily, not long to go now.

Smithy, I?m so sorry, you are such an amazing and strong woman and I really admire you that you can keep going. I hope you are taking care of yourself and pray that the new year brings you all your dreams.

JBM, I hate AF too! But now that I have her it means I can move onto the next cycle. Shiatsu sounds divine, hope you enjoy. Good luck for your scan on the 1st and praying for a BFP for your for your Dec FET.

Ruth, you never know, you may get a BFP surprise. But I must admit most of my post stim cycles have been much longer than normal, sometimes up to 44 days. I hope that is not the case for you either way and you get a BFP, if not that then AF comes so you can do an FET in Dec.

Saph, fingers crossed you can do a IUI cycle, either way Feb will be here before you know it, though I can understand your frustration.

MrsM, how exciting, not long to go now.

Tania, I hope you are doing ok, sorry to hear about your BT. Did you end up retesting? What are your plans next?

    Scooby, thanks for dropping in!

Kaydee, hope your BT went well, crossing my fingers for you for your FET

Meredith, hope you are tracking along nicely, is it Day 8 for you? When are you having your first scan and BT? Hope all is going well and there are lots of lovely follies there.

Buliej, hope you are well, and you?re a finding some answers to your questions. Thinking of you.

Bec, hope you are well and set for your transfer, isn?t it Friday? Good luck with it and will be praying for a BFP for you.

Jodie, hope you are having fun doing it the natural way.

Hayley, fingers crossed for 1 Dec!

To anyone I have missed, hope you are all well.

AFM, I must admit I have spent an inordinate amount of time inspecting AF this time, sorry TMI, but nice bright flow, some small amounts of clumping (normally I have lots), which all came with no sore BB and only 1 day of AF cramping. I think from a TCM perspective I had a good AF this month. Does anyone know if the colour, density etc of AF makes a difference with ability to get a BFP?

Anyway, sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the clinic to call to go over my next schedule and protocol. With my dates, I would be doing an EPU on the 7th Jan, but I have a feeling with the Xmas and New Year break they will push me back a whole week. Not that it makes much difference in the long run, but I am excited and eager to get going again.

DH and I are off to Bali Saturday week for 9 nights, so can?t wait for that, and then Xmas and everything that comes with it will hopefully make the days speed by.

Hugs to all, HAPPY HUMP DAY! xx

Oooh, gotten busy in here again!

Smithy - let me start by saying how so, so sorry I am for your tragic loss. Life is so darn unfair! I am amazed at how brave you are about the whole ordeal. What a strong woman! I hope you can heal quickly and that one of your frosties brings your dream next yr

Saph - hoping you can do your IUI before chrissie. Feb sounds like a long time to wait to me too!

Kaydee - how did scan etc go? When is your FET?

Missmagpie - so sorry for your BFN and even worse to have a slight chemical result. The whole waiting thing is soooo hard.

JBM - yay at being able to do another FET this yr. Bring on AF!!!

Possums - Hope there may still be a BFP in there for you and if not then 2009 HAS to be the year for success for so many ladies in here

Babydreamtime - Yay for AF and the fresh start on what should be a great cycle. Its good timing that you can at least down reg over xmas and be ready to stim as soon as the clinic reopens. GIves you something to look forward to after the hype of holidays is over

AFM - Day 8 of FSH today and 2 days of orgalutron. Next scan and BT tomorrow am and hoping I may get a date for EPU. Feeling generally ok, just very anxious about the whole thing but I guess that is part and parcel of the IVF rollercoaster!

hi girls - just popping in to say hi. I've been out of the loop for a few days. I will make the time to catch up on personals soon.

AFM, I will be both giving FET another go in December, with my last 2 embies. I've decided to take the next 3 weeks off work in an effort to be stress-free and give myself the best chance of being UTD pre-xmas.

Hope everyone's doing well and look forward to catching up on all of your news.

Mel- time off sounds like a good plan...here's hoping you get a great xmas pressie!!

Kaydee- good luck for the FET!

Meredith- hope you get a date set soon...feeling anxious is just part of it all I reckon! But I do hope you arent too stressed out...there are just so many steps along the way

babydreamtime- hope you get some dates set soon...it's good having a plan

afm- well feeling yuk today as AF has arrived (I did expect it)...and I always have terrible cramps and pain...but at least I know my body is working properly after the D&C, so that's something...we'll try naturally next month too, just in case...but if no luck, I'll get my next period around xmas day, and start on the pill then and get our next stim cycle underway

possums - also sorry to hear AF arrived. looks like you & i will be on the same course leading up to xmas. i would expect my next cycle to finish around christmas day - i also figured that if AF does show up, then it will be a good time to start the pill again for my next down-reg ivf cycle. but here's hoping there's no need for either of us!!

Hi everyone ive been out of action for a while, im so busy! still not pregnant and still have had no progress or success with getting into an ivf clinic my GP who has ALL the history is on leave until january! and every other doc at the clinic is shall I say kinda rude and non english speaking, so id rather wait. I rang to make an appointment with urologist and was put on hold for about 15 mins and no one answered so I will try again today. I have my DP on menevit and I have started B6 this cycle, im now on CD16 and have been peeing on OPKS twice a day since CD1 and ive never gotten a positive allthough I have my usual ovulation cramps and stringy CM for the past 3 days and swear I have ovulated, 2 opk's got very dark but still a little lighter than the control line, has anyone else experienced this? also im using fertility monitor for the first time and I never got a peak but apparently you dont on the first cycle, so i will see next month! and to make things worse my best friend who is on the pill and only has "casual" partners is pregnant!!! AND she probably wont keep it and she is 8 weeks and said to me ' i have plenty of time to decide what I wanna do" i almost punched her out!!! I'm so crushed and im also doing my Registered Nurse 2 weeks training at the moment and guess what....My buddy nurse is 20 weeks pregnant, im a real mess today, my DP is depressed im depressed we are just struggling so much our bub was supposed to be due last week I think I have almost given up as every attempt I make at anything I hit a wall, I dont know how you all do it! ive even lost 14 kilos in 4 months and that has done nothing aswell. My mother got pregnant 1st time with me and my sister and she doesnt have a clue about all this and no one in my life has gone through this only my wonderful online friends. Any advice would be great, I just dont know what else to do I havent touched a drop of alcohol or coffee in 2 years or never even ever tried a cigarette in my life! that goes for my partner aswell! I pray ALL the time and I still get kicked down every month. I havent felt like Ive had a normal life for the past 2 years I feel like nothing is fun anymore I almost wish I was one of those women who doesnt want children! sorry for the rant but im just really fed up at the moment I even said to DP maybe we should use a condom and hope it breaks as ppl on birth control seem to have more success!

just rang uorologist and cant get in til FEB 19th! im so devastated! I asked is it better to go straight to see a fertility specialist and she said no you have to come to the urologist as the fertility clinics are only for girl problems!!! Am I stupid or something! has this happened to anyone else, everyone is so reluctant to help us coz we are considered "young" age doesnt make medical conditions less serious i just dont get it.

21andTTC#1-- sending you a big HUG...so sorry for all the stress you are dealing with...
plus having your friend be pregnant and be so casual about it must be very very hard to handle...I can imagine I would feel the same way you do...plus your buddy nurse as well!

all your frustration and anger is very understandable, and so many of us have felt the same emotions...it can be hard to find people who do understand, but at least here, you will find support. Try and find ways to relax through acupuncture etc- it can help calm your mind and body if nothing else. And remember, you arent doing things wrong...sometimes some people just take a long time to have a baby.

21 - i'm so sorry for you. you have every right to be angry and upset. hang in there... not sure if this helps, but i think you are in Qld? have you tried city fertility (they are in brisbane and gold coast)? i go to CF in melbourne and i thought they guaranteed the first appointment within 2 weeks? My DH didn't have to go to a urologist... (but we don't have a male factor, so perhaps that's the difference?). Anyway, could you just go to any old clinic and get a referral to CF to get the ball rolling? I've found that a lot of those bulk billing places are happy to give referrals without much history... hope that helps.

21 - sending you a hug as well ... However, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you may have to take a deep breath and hold off till Jan/Feb as most of the specialists go on leave, I know how much that will drive you nuts, but what can we do - you are not alone waiting till after christmas, and we can all drive each other nuts with waiting waiting waiting stories ...

Have you tried calling a few Uroligist's ? And ask to be put on a cancellation list, another thing you can do is ask the GP to mark the referal as URGENT - if you get a good GP they will do that for you, I have been a med receptionist in the past and we always had to get urgent patients in pretty much immediatly - I wouldnt care if the GP cant speak english - you will only see them for ten mins, and get them to write urgent - urgent urgent

    HI girls,

It has gotten busy in here. Im losing track of everyone!

Smithy - sorry to hear your news. Look after yourself and hope your feeling better soon.

Good luck to all who are trying again before Christmas. Hope we can get some more BFP.

AFM, have decided to just wait for my BT next Tuesday and start my next cycle when I next get AF which should be around 19 December. Even if I had of started my cycle yesterday, I couldnt have had an EPU until after 19 January because of closures so this next cycle wont be much longer after that anyway.

Like Possums, we are going to try naturally this month too. Why not I say. Miracles do happen!!!

    Take care all.

    Hello to everyone

Smithy - hope you are holding up okay

21 - to you. I'm sorry you're having so much stress at the moment. It's a frustrating time of year with everyone on holidays.

Out of time for personals, as trying to get some study done. But good luck to everyone at whatever stage you are at.

AFM: DAy 8 of cycle, been on Puregon fof 7 days, and starting the orgalutran tonight. Yukkie, two injections, Blah. Feel okay except today just AWFULLY tired....so bad I had to leave work as I thought I was coming down with something, but it's okay I had a sleep and feel better now.
