My naturopath wants me to BBT. I have PCOS, no cycle at all without meds (well, not between going off the pill and commencing a trigger cycle then clomid). If I ovulate, I have a cycle but there was nothing for months.
So, as far as special instructions, the naturopath did say it was retrospective, but it gives them a whole lot of information. It will tell them what our bodies are doing naturally, are we ovulating, when in the cycle we're ovulating, how long is the follicular and luteal phase of the cycle. So I would say go see a naturopath to help with BBT charting to get you started.
And I would also say I feel good because I finally ovulated without drugs this month (with the aid of herbs though) so feeling very positive about naturopaths.
Perhaps FSs aren't positive about BBT charting because their job is to mess with our cycles and trigger all sorts of things, so for them it's not a relevant tool. Those that work with a natural cycle will be far more interested.
Good luck for scans, IVF etc this week girls. When are you due for your test Bella? I don't know if I can wait until next week to POAS, so if AF isn't here by Sat I think I'll go for it then. If no luck I promise to wait for Christmas.
