Minniemouse ~ GL with the B'ding hun and hope you get a BFP! I think its definitely just my body still sorting itself after last IVF - my cycles are usually like this for a good couple or few months after. And today I have bad hormone migraine so think she will finally be here very soon. I O'd ages ago around New Yrs Eve.
India's mum ~ Very sorry to hear hun, I know it sucks so much all the hope you have and then the ups and downs - feeling for you. On a positive note at least you know it can happen and one day very soon your lil miracle will stick!
Luna ~ thank you. I am very lucky to have such a good patient LOL. I had a bit of a meltdown last night - I think he is better at handling it all than I do.
I truly hope this Valentines day will be one to remember for you! All the best
MM ~ thanks heaps xo. All the best for your transfer - hope this is the one for you!! When will your transfer be?
Saffy ~ hope you're well. Have fun B'Ding.
Sorry to anyone Ive missed. :stickyvibesgirl::bluedust: for you all!
Happy Australia Day!!

India's mum - So sorry to hear that. Are you still going to get your BT done on Thursday?
I had my scan today to test for ovulation, and it did not go well. Looks like for the second cycle in the row since the ectopic I am ovulating on the side of the ectopic. Which means that my other ovary is probably not active. The doctor told me not to TTC this cycle, because although the HSG showed that the tube is open, it may be still damaged and there is a risk of another ectopic. And then he suggested Clomid to stimulate the lazy ovary. This is very confusing to me, becasue won't it stimulate BOTH of the ovaries? Will I not have a chance of the ectopic every cycle then? When I ask him that he said that my chances of good pregnancy are higher than the chances of ectopic, so now I lost all trust in him. If there is a chance I will have good pregnancy on the side of my "bad" tube, then why do I need clomid, and why cannot I TTC this cycle??? None of it makes any sense to me. Do you know if you ovulate from both sides if you take Clomid?
I do not know what to do, I think I will ovulate today, so I do not have much time to decide. Part of me wants to just TTC, and whatever happens happens. And if I get another ectopic, then I will tell them to remove the tube so I never again have to worry about it. And part of me wants to just quit.
-
Luna- what a dilemma, I have no idea, hopefully someone is reading who can help you, or you could try posting on the TTC using clomid thread , someone there might have been in the same situation. Its probably just worth a try ttc today, all that time waiting for nothing otherwise, if you get a bfp just tell the doctor it was an accident lol. Hope it works out for you hun ( and you get a nice valentines surprise )xx ps the transfer is timed for the amount of days after you O, that your embryo is ie a 5day embryo- you get transferred 5 days after O is detected- does that make sense??
Loops-have you ever taken a drug to get AF to start? ( I think its called primulot), a gynae I used to work for would prescribe it if AF was taking ages to come. I couldn't be patient like you with such long cycles- so frustrating
matthewsmum- I will talk to my acupuncturist next week when I see her about what to do, sounds like a good idea though. When do you start BTs?
Indiasmum- how are you today? hope you are feeling alright hunny xx
minniemouse-have you O'd yet?
AFM- +OPK for me this morning- so going in for my blood test ( and pay my money ), I'm predicting transfer next wed or thurs at this stage, DH is excited cos he gets another 4 day week.
-
morning all ,india's mum-sorry...luna-as far as i know ,clomid helps with 'o',but you still only 'o' from one ovary a cycle.,alternate sides each cycle...can you feel what side your 'o'ing from usually?if it's the side where the etopic wasn't,you would think that that was a lower risk to that occuring again...thinking of you all...afm-had my 1st bt to track 'o',today
-
Matthewsmum- how did you go with your BT? I got a 'surge' so my transfer is booked in for next Wednesday- now I've got to pray my one embryo makes it. Hope your BT gives you a good result and you can transfer soon xx
-
Luna: my understanding of ovulation is you don't necessarily ovulate alternate sides each month, sometimes it can be twice from one side and then the other side the next (anyone correct me if i am wrong), maybe you have just been unlucky these last 2 cycles. having said that there is probably no harm taking clomid and seeing what happens, if you are still having scans during the cycle you will still know which side you are going to ovulate from. can i ask a really stupid question....if the tube looks fine why can't you ttc from that "bad" side ?
saffy: yay on the positive opt, r u just having one embie thawed ?
matthewsmum: i hope your blood test shows things are good
india'smum: so sorry it looks like you are having another loss, how is the bleeding ?
crafty: has af show up or have you poas ?
afm: still negative opt's here, it seemed to be darker a few days ago, it seems to do this, gets darker (but not positive) then goes away again a bit and then a week later happens again so im wondering if the egg isn't that great when its finally released, i'll be happy to see the specialist and see if i can do some ultrasounds through the cycle to see whats happening
-
minniemouse-hope the ultrasounds shed some light...saffy-how exciting for you, what cycle day are you on?i should hear in the morning what my levels were like, but i usually 'o' late.,so i'm expecting another bt either tomorrow or next day.i worry about the thawing process as well, fingers crossed...luna-once again different bodies experience 'o' differently, sorry if my previous post was misleading...
-
Hi ladies
Indiasmum so sorry your bleeding heavier hope it still turns out ok for you but if not then be kind to yourself thinking of you !
Saffy yay for good bt results FX for next week and BFP soon !

Luna hope your bfp is just around the corner
minniemouse thanks for thinking of me FX for your too !
afm well still no nothing no loss since sunday when I had a tiny amount on a tissue but have not poas yet as have no preg symptoms and I have done this before to start af 2wks later so will hang on and see whats going on its possible I am missing af as I am nearly 46 now ! ( too scared to test as I hate to see 1 line and I promised myself I would not do that again until I was more sure ) still having light cramping but looseing nothing atm !:shakehead: no idea whats going on
-
Saffy: FX your little frostie is a goodie and transfer goes well. Thinking of you.
India's mum: It's so hard to ride that rollercoaster of hope and disappointment. So sorry you've had bleeding with this BFP.
Mathewsmum: I hope this cycle is a success for you. WIll have everything crossed for you.
Loops: Hope your DH is mending fast and you get back on track with your cycle soon. Must be very frustrating to wait it out for AF to show.
Crafty: you are a patient woman! It's so hard to wait and wonder what's going on with your body and to resist the call of the little POAS.
Minniemouse: sounds confusing. Does clomid affect the OPK's?
Luna: Very hard not to TTC when you are keen to get on with it. That does sound very confusing advice. Wish i could help but i don't understand how these things work.
Thinking of you all and hoping you get good news soon.
-
India's mum - did you go to the doctor today? What's the news?
Craftymummy - oh, this is nerve wrecking! I do not thik I would be able to resist testing. How long are you going to wait?
Matthew's mum - fingers crossed for the frostie!
Minniemouse - that is very odd with the opts. I would ask for some blood work or the ultrasound to see what is going on with the ovulation. Are you still taking clomid? I wonder if clomid can have something to do with it. As for why they do not advise TTC even if the tube is open - the little cilia that move the egg along may be damaged. So the tube may be opened, but there is nothing to move the egg along. The sperms can get to the egg, but the egg is not pushed down to the uterus = another ectopic. I kind of wonder then what is the point of preserving the tube, you know? Sounds I would have been better of if they removed it.
Thank you girls for your input on the ovulation. I thought about it some more, and I agree with you, two in a row from the same side means nothing. I also remember that in the cycle before I felt it on the good side. I do not really need monitoring, I can very distinctly feel when I ovulate and from which side. But I risked it last night, we will see what happens. So I guess I am in TWW now, but not really very excited about it because of the looming ectopic threat.
-
Luna- although there is a risk of another ectopic there is also a risk of it being fine! So I hope you caught the egg and its all ok.
Hi possummagic- nice to see you, thanks hun
Craftymummy- :crossfingers::crossfingers:, I know what its like to get your hopes up with spotting then to be disappointed, it happens to me all the time, I really hope you are brewing a sticky one mate and it was implantation, the cramping sounds positive xx
matthewsmum- hope your results are good today
minniemouse- that sounds strange about the opks, do you get EWCM? How long have you been doing clomid?
Loops- has AF come yet? I hope so!
Indias'mum- Are you OK? Did you have a blood test? xx hugs for you
AFM- had to force Dh and myself to BD last night, its so demoralising.
-
Nothing really much to tell. I did have a blood test yesterday but I don't get the results till Monday and even then it's only positive or neg, I have to wait till Tuesday to see what the level is (you can only speak to my doctor on Tues or Weds and it takes a MONTH to get an actual appointment). I'm still bleeding and it's bright red blood but it's playing games. It stops for a few hours then starts again. There are no clots, it's like red water and it would take 2 days to fill a pad like this. I feel like a dripping tap. I stopped testing as I got tired of seeing such a pale line. So who knows what the hell is going on. I thought yesterday it might be ectopic as I had a lot of stitch type pain in my left side but they too are gone. Periodically I get really bad cramps but they don't alter the slow blood flow and usually stop soon enough. I'm certain it's still a miscarriage but a very slow one.
-
hi everyone,
craftymum: still have my fingers crossed for you
india's mum: how awful for you to be in such limbo, i hope you get some answers soon
possum magic: clomid shouldn't affect opt's i don't think, i think it is more likely my pcos that stuffs me up
Luna: i see what you mean about the egg not being able to move along properly, frustrating for you though, as you said if it isn't any good is it worth having ?!
saffy: im with you on the forced dtd, we "should" have done it last night but i just couldn't make myself, today i have lots of ewcm and my cervix is feeling "fertile" so i'll have to just do it tonight, still negative opt's though, day 18 ggrrr. this is my 4th month of clomid (i feel pregnant with my kids first cycle on it both times - my 3 miscarriages were from "natural pregnancies"). i hope your forced bding has a good outcome, i take it you can end up with 2 babies if you fell pregnant naturally now and your embie sticks ?
-
mm- yeah theoretically but I won't be holding my breath on that one lol. Can you get your dose upped? I wasted 3 months on 50mg, should have had a bigger dose xx
-
Saffy: i could probably try a higher dose but im not sure my specialist will even give me anymore clomid (seeing him next friday), think he would want to move onto something more.
a friend who works in an ivf clinic came over today so i got to pick her brain about what she thinks i should be doing and what options i have so that was interesting
matthewsmum: how were your blood test results ?
-
Hi all
Indias mum sorry your in such limbo atm but just maybe there is good news for you I remember mildez had probs when she got her bfp and she is fine now
saffy everything crossed for you next week how many frosties do you have ? will be thinking of you next week
possum nice to see your name hope all is well
matthewsmum not long now this is a good month I can feel it.
minnie mouse think positive you will get there in the end
everyone else good luck to us all this next cycle !
afm well still no loss no cramps no nothing and felt really sick today but still not tested yet I have no other symptoms and I am convinced AF will rock up next week as she has before and still have not purchased hpts either so I can't test ! feels good to do this and not be obsessed with testing ! weird hey !
-
Fingers crossed for you crafty.
-
I think it's all sounding very exciting crafty.
I felt really dizzy today so combined with the pain on my left hand side and continued bleeding I convinced myself it must be ectopic and went to the ER. The were able to get the test results from yesterdays blood test and it was 29. They did one to compare it to and it was 69 so, while very low, it is increasing. So for the moment I am pregnant. I would be four weeks and five days (but as I ovulate so late you could almost take a week off that). They did a scan to check my ovaries and couldn't see any sign of an ectopic pregnancy. I have an appointment at their early pregnancy clinic for Monday for some follow up work to see if things are still rising.
