    Hi girls
Not sure if I'm in the right thread as I never know if this one is for AC in general or just those who've been TTC with AC for over 12 mths?!

Anyway, we are TTC #2 with IVF and haven't told anyone IRL (except my direct manager at work, who is TTC #1 with AC). So, I just wanted to 'chat' with some girls who understand It's hard to keep it all to yourself.
Do feel free to point me elsewhere though if this is the wrong thread!!

We are doing a HRT FET at the moment and transfer is Wednesday. It's so strange this time around, as it seems like the world's 'easiest' FET - at my first US my lining was 7.2mm, which was waaay better than it had ever been before, even on the FET where we got pg with DD. The clinic was very excited! Last time I also needed HRT patches, as well as progynova, and it took about 2 weeks of scans before I was finally ready for transfer. This time I had just the one US and they said "Ok, transfer is on Wednesday next week!". It was a nice surprise. But, I shall try not to get too excited as we all know that these things rarely go to plan. And I don't want to set myself up for disappointment.

My turn - Im so sorry honey Big

Mrs P - Welcome to the thread! I am having an FET transfer on Wed as well so we will be TWW buddies

I cant remember how was asking about success rates??? But my FS told me last month that the stats are:

10% for bonking (his words not mine!)
16% for an FET and 36% for a fresh transfer. He said that the stats are calculated every 3 months.

I'm guessing they would be averages Amy because the stats vary so much depending on your age and the nature of your infertility problems.

My FS told me last Monday that 20% for a normal healthy youngish couple natural and with IVF 45-50%. My clinic seem to believe that they have almost the same success rates with stims and FET's. Anything to get my money, I think! How anyone gets pregnant natually is beyond me...

Myturn I'm really sorry you were right. Definately stick around as you work on your health.

Welcome to the thread Miss P. Hopefully you can join another more cheerful one soon but we are a great bunch to hang out with if you have to be here

Vic I like you fs odds best
I've just entered the tww so will see what the month of May brings. Feeling positive this far for two reasons. A) this is the furtherest we have gotten in a while and b) Dh has finally come to the party!!!!! That's right he's finally gettin over his ivf phobia. I can't believe it. I think my nag free approach worked and he suddenly came out with 'If this doesn't work maybe we should just spend the extra money and do the full thing' his code for let's do ivf apparently. Hopefully we won't need it but nice to know the option is there. I think we would have a month off and then jump in. My poor body is a bit tired of nonstop jabbing since January.

Welcome Mrs P, the ladies here are wonderful and provide me with sanity and a place to talk about all my infertility struggles without feeling judged, I am sure they will do the same for you.

Thanks Miss B, Amy, N2L & Vic for the info, I guess it really is an individual thing and I will just have to wait and see what the FS has to say. I think i was just hoping for some positive stats, but really when we have been given a 2-3% chance of falling naturally anything is a positive.

Keta that is wonderful news hun, I hope you don't end up needing it but its fantastic that your DH has come around.

Of course it's going to work because we are going to be in TWW together and instead of just doing lunch every few weeks we will be shopping together for baby clothes!!!

N2L - Yes very much just an average. He said that every 3 months the doc's in WA have to send through their stats to get a state average or something

Today has been mental here, I have been trying to get the house clean and everything done before my transfer on Wed so I can relax on my 5 days off. So fare I have:

Painted the Laundry, bathroom and toilet (well DH did and I supervised )
    Mopped the floors
    Cleaned out the fridge
Got a casserole ready in the slow cooker for tomorrow night
    Prepared a roast
    Cleaned the bathroom
Went shopping for 2 birthday presents
And now im sitting here sipping on the last glass of wine i'll be able to have waiting for my roast to cook. Start the pessaries tonight, not sure what to expect as i've always been on the Crinone before.

Pessaries are better than crinone IMO. Still some waxy residue, but not cottage cheese clumps like crinone.
