Lairdoz ~ thanks so much, you are wonderful! Hope you're doing ok and excited about this try.

Brunette ~ thanks hun and all the best in TWW, hope you dont go too crazy, FX and TX

Moonflower ~ Great to see you back and all the very best for this cycle.

Melttc ~ thanks so much, unfortunately Im back to thinking its ectopic. Im just looking forward to finding out def what the go is, shouldnt be too much longer - its certainly been a long rollercaoster ride, All the best to you for this cycle, will have F and TX!

Melissa ~ thanks gorgeous. Im up to 3weeks since fertilisation took place, I think its 5weeks at the earliest but Im not too sure when that means from. I would think from when fertilisation took place. GL, hoping you can do your FET soon xo

AFM ~ Im back to thinking its ectopic. Ive had shoulder pain starting and abdominal pain and unfortunately I just have to bloody wait until my BT Fri as its too early to show up on ultrasound and just have to wait and hope nothing ruptures. Although I have stopped bleeding
On a positive note ~ someone out there is extremely generous and thoughtful and has sent us a very anonymous cheque - untraceable. If it happened to be anyone of you wonderful people on BB we thank you from the bottom of our hearts xo. Because of this we will now be able to do another cycle in the not too distant future. We are not sure if its family, friends or someone we dont know well at all - though they would have to know our address or have gone to a lot of trouble to find it.

Just found out, the earliest they can probably do a scan is about the 15th/16th March. Just have to wait it out until Fri for a start with BT. Nurse was very nice again but its all just still very frustrating.

Wow Loops, the ups and downs continue. How amazing that someone sent you money!

That's fantastic news for your brother and SIL Melissal! Hope you can get your own good news soon too. I think, as with all things, it just depends - some people's cycles are disrupted, others go right back to normal.

Hi Moonflower. All the best with your jabbing.

Hope you get a good bunch of eggies melttc!

Hi everyone else - hope your'e all taking care

Loops, that is fantastic that someone sent you a cheque.
There's beautiful caring people out there willing to help others and wanting nothing in return.

I'm in the same basket as you Melissal, I would have bawled my eyes out too.

Loops hang in there my thoughts are with you and I hope that its just a very late implantation

Brunette good luck with your 2WW hope this is your month. I'm a bit like you too find the first week quite easy and then slowly go insane during the second

To all the girls gabbing hope that your bodies are being kind and growing some nice little follis

Just a quick note on acupuncture I have been seeing someone since last year once a month and when I was doing cycles I would try to do one before a transfer and then after. The one thing she said to me is that it takes our bodies a while to start to respond to trying to get pregnant. So although I belive acupunture works I think that you need to be doing it for a while to prepare your body

Loops, from memory I think they need the hcg levels to reach around 1500 before they can see anything on a scan. (It may be a bit higher or lower, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong.) I've still got everything crossed for you.

Melissal, I always find my cycles take a while to go back to normal after IVF. The cycle after I usually O a week late but then have a short LP. It seems to take a few cycles to get back to my normal LP. Some women find they get straight back to normal though, so I hope you don't have long to wait.

Terry, my acu wanted 4 months to get the maximum benefit from her treatments because eggs take 4 months to grow from start to finish. Of course, now that I haven't been for 2 months I'll have to start over again...

Loops – sorry your BT results are still not giving you the answers you want and need, but I am very happy for you that the cheque arrived. 'Pay it forward' is a motto I use in life, because even though you may not get a reward directly from people you give things to, they will learn the feeling of receiving gifts and want to share that with other people. You will be able to teach your child all about paying it forward when they arrive.
Renee – I’m sorry to hear about your chemical, it is very trying to have to go through all of this to get chemicals. Big xx
Moonflower ~ Hi – GL for your embies, I hope they are growing nicely ready for your EPU.
Melttc ~ I’m going to sound like my Mum now but you only need 1 good embie! You made me cry when I read that you cried when you told your family about your 2nd IVF cycle. It is so hard what we have to go through, I think sometimes we cry when we talk to other people about it because we genuinely feel really sorry for ourselves having to go through something so unfair. FX and GL
Melissal – I can’t help you with your question re: cycle going back to normal, but I hope your wait is short and sweet before you can start your FET. Sorry about your MIL too, all I can say is you are a better person.
Brunette ~ Hope you are enjoying the 2WW and that of course it goes very quickly with a nice BFP at the end!
Mum-2-Be – Glad to hear the transfer went well. Hope your embies are settling in for their LONG stay!
Tantee – Hope you are doing well.
Miss K and EmStar – hope you are enjoying your pregnancy-ess!
Terry – Glad you enjoyed a lovely weekend with your DH.
JBM, Marcellus and Danyelle and anyone I missed – HI!

AFM – Scan this morning showed 8 follicles so might be down on my last IVF although that was over 18 months ago now so I guess I get less as I get older! Have bloods and another scan on Friday. Still feel like I am just going through the motions really. I thought about acupuncture but I have never done it before hence think it’s not something to start one week out from my EPU!

Lairdoz - I started my acupuncture only one week before EPU - and I highly recommend it!! I asked at the time if it was too late, and the acupuncturist said no. I then had one session before ET and one after ET. I must say, I felt so overwhelmed on the way in to the city for the ET, but then after the acupuncture, I felt like I was floating on a cloud. The feeling of relaxation and just total ease was amazing - it really put me in the right frame of mind for the transfer. The afterwards, it helped with the relaxation (the Western doctors are of the view that the greater success rates with acupunture are from the women being in a hightened state of relaxation - and that that is the best state for the embryo to stick - of course no western doctors would every admit that it was because they put the needles in just the right spots!!).

So, in short (!!), if you can go, definately go and get some acupuncture done - it's not too late!!

BTW - how long are we supposed to relax for after the ET? I'm off work till Monday, and trying to convience DH that I need to relax until them (ie. couch with movies all day!!) ...

Leabie - Good luck for your BT today!!!

mum-2-be - lots of sticky vibes for you!!! And you can do normal activities straight away just nothing that raises your body temperature too much

Lairdoz - Good luck for tomorrow with your scans etc!!! those little follies grow nice and big

Melissal - I wonder how the hell people can just get UTD after they give up its amazing isn't it!!! We go in on the 15th March

Hi to all you wonderful women.

I have read through some of your journey's and have been touched by your experiences.

To those with a BFP It give us all hope that our day will come.

To those are waiting for results I hope your time goes quickly with great news at the end.

To those with results that are not is wanted - I am sorry. This journey can be such a hard road at times. I admire your resolve and commitment to continue which ever path you may choose.

I do have a few questions to ask. This is our first ICSI try and I am at the moment on Day 10. I have had a scan yesterday which showed 2 follicles on the rights with one surging ahead it was 16mm and the other was 12 mm. On the left I have only 3 small follicles just under 8 mm.
AS I am of advanced maternal age 44 , they are saying that normally they would cancel but if I wanted to go ahead they will, even though they will probably only get one follicle at this stage.
I am at a total loss as what to do.
Can I continue with the gonal-f so the others catch up and continue with syneral to stop that one from popping?
If we cancel how long would we have to wait to go again.
Should I take the chance as we all know it is only one we need to get pregnant??????
Please any advise or experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi ladies
Just a quick one today as Im on my lunch break at work. Yesterday I wasnt up to working today I feel bit better, still not sure whats going on with this though.

Firstly: Laridoz ~ Are you then saying what I think you are? If so that is way too generous and we nearly didnt bank it but thought we better because it is so lovely and thoughtful and might seem ungrateful if we didnt. And yes I did have tears when I received it, one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for us!!! I will certainly be continuing the motto "Pay It Forward". Such a nice thing to think of! I will PM you with more.
Still thinking of you and have everything crossed that this is your time, you totally deserve it. I really think the acupuncture helped me this cycle, so Id say go for it.

Renee ~ Im so sorry hun
So close again though, so next time has to be the 1! Hang in there and hope you can have another go soon.

Mum-2-be ~ I wanted at least 2 days rest this time after ET, last time I didnt rest at all and we have got that 1 step closer this time, so perhaps the rest was the key. Dont know how much evidence there is for it but anythings worth a shot. If you have until Mon off even better. GL, FX for you hun.

Marcellus ~ thanks for putting my BT tomorrow on your list and for continuing this great list that Emerald started. Will let you know tomorrow. xo

Jilly ~ thats a hard one, sorry hun. I think maybe hand in there and see if they develop more with the Gonal F. GL

GL to all, hoping for BFPs very soon! xxx

AFM ~ Just want to say a big thanks to you for your kind wishes and support and yes the money was the nicest thing thats ever been done for us, made me cry and we are truly grateful.

Jilly, you could maybe try to hold out until the 12mm one matures, but if you try to get the other two the 16mm one may get too big, which can affect the egg quality. You probably don't want it getting much past 24mm.

Renee, I'm so sorry to hear that.

mum-2-be, I usually just took two days off work for ET and lounged around the house. I'd also take it easy (no vigorous exercise, etc) for the rest of the 2ww. Don't push yourself - just concentrate on incubating!

Lairdoz, 8 sounds fine. They usually aim for around 10 eggs and you may have a couple of follies hiding where the u/s didn't see them. I'd also second the endorsement for acu. Even starting at this late stage will give you some benefit. If nothing else it is very relaxing.

Loops - You must be going crazy with not knowing one way or the other. My thoughts are with you and for a happy result at the end of all this waiting.
How wonderful that you have been the reciepiant of a "pay it forward". Good luck and fingers and toes crossed.

juniper76 - thanks for your advise. I think that is what I will do. Hopefully the scan tommorrow will show a miracle. That is what we are all hoping for one way or another.
