    Crazy Times!

    Hello ladies.

Wow, there's just so much going on right now isn't there?

FGS, I'm so sad to hear about your follies. I've been thinking of you for the last few days. Will keep you in my prayers. I hope that your FS can offer you some good news this afternoon.

Juniper76, very sad to hear of the cancellation. Hope you are doing well and that you have an excellent, supportive group around you. I’m sending you big

Danyelle, I’ve heard that acupuncture is great for getting your body to ‘realign’ itself (for want of a better word). Let us know how you go with that.

WaitingAwaiting, how’s it all going? Loved your rant! Sometimes I feel just that way too. I have to say, I can care less about what sonographers and drs think about the ‘keptness’ of my hoo hoo. I had a sonographer the other day who was attempting to give me a vaginal ultrasound and was pressing completely on the wrong bit! A actually had to tell her she was up about 5cm too high! *sigh*

Miss K, good luck with your cycle. It’s an exciting time for most. I have spent most of my cycle being really angry and I sure hope you don’t suffer this way. I’ve been angry because I just wanted my body to do what it was made for. I hope that you remain happy and that it goes really well.

Terry, I hope you also stay happy and positive and I’ll be praying for a natural conception for you.

(I’m all about encouraging ladies to be happy as I wasn’t and it really affected me and my DH – would hate to see it happen with any of you.)

Rob, hope all is going well with you and yours.

Loops 12, I see that you are doing your 2nd IVF. Are you doing a long or short cycle? When do you start with the meds? for you too!

Jacki80, I agree, seeing my follies is freakin’ amazing! I said to my DH my way back to work earlier today, how lucky we are that we’ve seen these things. Sure, everybody else in my family got to conceive naturally but none of them have seen what we’ve been privileged to see.

MC, nice to see you have done well with 6 embies. Not sure if you saw my PM, but I got only 5 harvested. Out of that only 2 were any good. My FS originally told me I would go for ET on Sat but moved it to today. So I am currently incubating the 2. The other good news is that one egg that tried to do the right thing and failed has given it another red hot go overnight and has begun to divide. Crazy! That one clearly takes after me. They will let me know on Sat how it's all going.

So I guess, technically, I'm now in the TWW. I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. Weird...

    Hey Ladies...

Thanks so much for al your support and lovely words-of-wisdom. I think part of my battle is that this is our first IVF try - and even though having such a great site, with a great support network is such a blessing - in some ways it's also a curse - because you get a feel for what to expect - and what's the 'norm' in situations... but - wouldn't give this up for the world! definitely more a positive than a negative!

I got the call from one of the nurses at Repromed... she actually caught me mid-way through a breakdown.. I spent the WHOLE day yesterday in bed bawling my eyes out...

Anyway.. she said that at this stage - they are going to keep me on the 225 Gonal-F because they think that maybe 2 follies might be responding to the dose... and by increasng the dose - they wont be "recruiting" any of the smaller ones. She said that my estrogen level increased to 0.9 - which means that there's some egg activity going on in those stubbourn ovaries of mine...

I have another scan first thing on Friday morning... if there's no more progress and if my E-levels haven't risen, they will cancel the cycle.

She said that at best I might get 2 eggs... and then she did the whole "quality not quantity" and the "you only need one" spiel...

Oh well... I am finding it tough to deal... but not ALL hope is lost right?

MURRAYCOD - what a brilliant result for you!!! Hope your transfer goes brilliantly - and looks like you may have some snow-bubs in waiting too!! lucky girl!!

ROB - you're in Mannum? We have a shack in Cowirra... we go up there often just to get away. Just accross the ferry from Mannum.

MOONFLOWER - how exciting for you too!!! You're 'incubating' - sounds so funny - yet so cool!!!

DANYELLE - I am doing acupuncture at the moment with my first cycle - if anything - it's RELAXING... but!!!! Make sure you pick the RIGHT acupuncturist... I changed mine because he was awful - made me feel terrible about everything, said terrible things about my FS and tried to push all these 'supplements' on me that I didn't even know the ingredients off... The new guy I go to was recommended by Repromed - and he's great...

TERRY - thanks for the advice - i know i'm probably overreacting - it's only my first try and I expected smoother sailing!!!

    sigh.

Hey Moonflower!!! Sorry havent got your PM, but I am sooo glad to read that you are incubating a couple of fighters!!! And great to see you mabey have another with the fighting spirit!!
Good luck for your TWW, I will be joining you on Friday if all goes well and I too have some fighters!
(you also wrote such a lovely post to everyone, thank you babe XXX)

FGS well I'm glad your still in with a chance sweetheart, I hope that your scan on Friday brings you good news, and your anguish is over for this stage! I'm feeling for you that is for sure, could happen to any one of us, I know I have sailed smooth up to date, but by biggest fear, is that I get a phonecall friday morning saying "dont bother comming up they didn't make it'. Soooo nervy.

I understand to expect a few casualties getting to Blastocyst stage, but for once I want to be completely greedy and keep them all.

Danyelle, sulk all you need to babe XX We are all here for you. PS tell your DH he is a GOOSE!!!!!! ;>

FGS, if it helps, I know someone who went to EPU with only 1 follicle, got 2 eggs and is now pg from that cycle. I know that doesn't mean the same would necessarily happen for you, but it just proves that miracles do happen and there's no reason for you to give up on those eggies you're growing!

murraycod, yay for the great EPU and fertilisation results!

Thanks to those who have offered their support. I'm starting to feel more normal again now. I'm still upset about our cancellation and it's just that extra bit harder with the Medicare changes making another attempt less accessible. I haven't been able to do anything about the suspected endo thing yet because my FS is on holidays for another week and a half...

FGS - You poor thing!!! Your ovaries are stubborn just like mine, my prob is I don't produce any on a certain dose the minute they turn it 1/2 a turn up bam OHSS for me straight away don't you wish you could just poke the hell out of them and say WAKE UP AND DO YOUR DAMN JOB OVARIES!! I am wishing you all the best and will be praying those follies turn into wonderful big juicy eggs!!

Moonflower - Thankyou for the welcome I went through a depressing time thats why I stopped our fertility treatment as I was worried I was going to be put on medication but for now I am happy and hope it stays this way

Juniper you're still here!!! Someone I remember!! I was told by my FS that the medicare stuff has been canned and will be staying at the 80% well thats what she told me 2 weeks ago?? Cause she was concerned about the drop then told me that no need to worry its all going to stay the same if not get better! I hope your feeling better after your cancellation I am soo sorry to here!! BIG HUGS xxoo

ASM - Well I have had horrible side effects from Levlen ED headaches, nausea, tired, indigestion, put on weight (6kgs and counting) but FS said to me only 7 days left then no more but I really feel awful... Has anybody else had this ?? I start sniffing in 2 days then start injecting day 3 of cycle but yeh just soo weird..

    Hello everyone else!!
