Miss K - I remember you from long ago on the 12 month ttc thread, sorry you are still going through this crap but yay, glad I have some scan/BT/EPU buddies . Sigh, I was doing so well with not obsessing over the next few days but pfff all out the window now. Crazy lady not far off!!

Loops - GL for you BT tomorrow and scan Fri, I have absolutely no idea what to expect with a first scan but hoping we both have some nice lil eggs in the making

Emerald Star - that is great that you got 7 eggs after reading about how your last scan had gone. GO little embies!!!

BJ, Danyelle - , may the rest of your 2ww be kind and fly by

Trubabe - I am so sorry to read about your mum, I really hope that the dr is wrong and it is still early. Why does she have to wait so long for a mastectomy?

AFM - I had my first Puregon BT today, E2 came back at 2300-ish - is that ok for having been on it for 6 days? I think I jinxed myself yesterday by saying it felt like nothing was happening down there . . . today, totally different story, tum is sooo sore but can only mean the drugs are doing good, right???

she has to wait for the mastectomy as they wanted to do a couple chemo sessions before surgery to try and stunt the cancers growth.so she has her second chemo session on friday and sees the oncologist again.she finally got transferred to the other hospital late this morning after being in emergency dept for 2 and a half days and in a ward for just over 12 hours.hopefully she can go home friday after her chemo session

Hubby is currently dosing me up with buserelin and 150u Puregon every evening and other than horrendous fatigue and the odd little niggle, I don't feel any different. )
    Melissa1, I'm curious - what is Buserelin for ?

    Hi Ladies -
I have a quick question - did any of you ladies have antibiotics for a FET? I did for the stim cycle almost two years ago, but none for the FET's?
Lairdoz: I have never heard of anyone taking antibiotics for a FET? What is the reason for taking antibiotics, how does it help ?
This Is very interesting ! Cause when I did my 1st NK Cell test, I was very sick with Pluracy and was on antibiotics, my NK Cell test came back as Negative but a month later I called the lab and had a little chat with ladies in the lab. They said I should not have done the NK Cell test when I was that sick, the antibodies in my body at the time where concentrating on fighting the infection and the antibiotics would have affected the result. You should only do NK Cell Test when your 100% healthy.

    going crazy

    Hi ladies ,
I dont know if i have posted this in the right place as im pretty new to this. ( will not really ) i come and go from here but i mainly just read what you all have written.
Ive been doing the IVF program now for 12 months, and boy have we been on the roller coaster ride!, well we are about to embark again for the last time as we really cant afford it any longer. Over the past 12 months we have done 3 cycles, the 1st cycle we started was on the lowest doses of Gonal F, and turned out that i was a por responder so the cycle was canceled, 2nd attempt, Dr increased the dose from 150 to 225 we got to EPU but didnt even get 1 egg, let me tell you i balled my eye's out for weeks over that one! 3rd try, increased the gonal F again to 300 and we got 1 little egg! and fertilized! we had egg transfer and boy, the 2 ww near kill me but got through it , right up ,until day b4 , prg blood test and who should arrive AF!!! well now we have appointment for FS tomorrow and starting IVF all over again in around 2 weeks.do you think and going from past treatments, that if we up the dose of the gonal F a bit more there could be the chance of a little more eggs? we do hope so........

    Hi Lovely ladies
WOW alot going on in here. Im at work so I have to keep it short sorry

Emerald - Well done on those embies you must be very happy, FX for you they divide nicely over the next couple of days. I would like to know that too - whether you can ask for them to be frozen earlier if they look like they may not make it to blasty - good question!
Random Act Of Kindness - I saw that on someone elses too and now finally know what it is. You are totally deserving of this hon xoxo

Miss K ~ LOL, im glad I make you smile. Thinking of you today, FX and looking forward to hearing your results xoxo

Melissal ~ all the best with the scan. Its quite interesting going to a scan I find a bit nerve racking but it will be over before you know it. FX and TX that you have some good follies growing.

Hi to the newbies and welcome. All the best for your cycles

Thanks to all you amazing people who have wished me well today and tommorrow. GL everyone with whatever stage you are at xoxo

i spoke to oncology registrar and she confirmed mums cancer is now locally advanced.she may also have to wait an extra month for surgery.the lump in lymph nodes is bigger than i thought and her ct and bone scan results cant rule out totally cancer anywhere else. as results werent clear enough due to other health problems

Trubabe, I'll keep your mum in my prayers. I hope the next appointment brings good news.

littlegem, I'm so sorry to hear the heartbreaking journey you've been on so far. Have you done the same protocol each time? I didn't get more eggs when we increased the dose, but plenty of other women do. You just have to try it to find out unfortunately. I hope the next cycle brings the golden egg you've been waiting for.

Emerald Star, I noticed you'd been RAK'd. I received an email from BB about the RAK earlier this week which was how I knew about it... Couldn't happen to a nicer lady!

littlegem_98 - So Sorry to hear about your past year... have you done the same protocol every time e.g Antagonist or Down reg or have you tried both? I know the financial stress doesn't help the situation, however please remeber that alot of the girls on here were once where we are and they have had success...i'll keep everything crossed for you..also who are you doing IVF with??

Wishingbaby - You are on the LIST!!!

Loops12 - Thankyou babe!!!!! Sorry to ask you this, but i couldn't remember, is tomorrows scan your final scan before EPU? Good luck!!

trubabe - there are no words at this time to ease what you are going through....be strong and we will all pray for some good news to come to you and your family..

Juniper76 - you are just too kind with your words....you ladies are making me feel soooooooo special ( i luv it)

Trubabe - so sorry to hear about your Mum, I hope all goes well for her and that you are looking after yourself too. It's a very stressful experience - big hug to you.

Wishingbaby - I just had Pregynl for the first time in all my at least 20 fertility treatment cycles which I think they are giving me to make sure I ovulate (although all my hormones say I will) - what is Pregnyl used for after transfer/IUI?

Emerald Star - congrats on your embies - if you still have questions about them, do you feel comfortable asking the embryologist/s what they think. Your FS may have an opinion on it, but the embryologists do this stuff all the time so I found are less emotive. I ended up with 4 fertilised and they were all frozen and day 3 (with one now my DD)

danyelle - I spoke to the nurse today about antibiotics and my doc only uses them for stim cycles, my husband took them too. Not sure what it does for the boys but was meant for me to make sure there was no infection in the uterus from the egg retrieval. Some docs at my clinic use it for FET's too.

littlegem_98 - I often wish there was a court of unfairness to complain to about infertility. It is so unfair that it costs so much money, let alone the emotional stress, just for the chance to have a child. I can only say that, cliched as it is, it's worth it if it works. Let's just hope that this cycle just the trick with a nice BFP!

    Hope everyone else is well

AFM - I had my ultrasound today, lining looks fine. Was given Pregnyl for the first time which I think was just because the nurse didn't know my normal protocol as I can tell that my doc didn't tell them to give it to me (long winded story). Transfer is on Tuesday so BT on the 20th Feb, the hideous 2WW beckons .....

Lairdoz I think the booster shots of pregnyl after transfer/iui is to increase your prog levels I'm not entirely sure about this but I think the higher the prob levels the better a pregnancy has of lasting cause if your prog levels drop too far then that in when your body start to prepare for AF's arrival. Hope this has helped.
