    Hi,

Thought I'd kick off the new thread.

Lisa - I have been on synarel for 4 months now and that feeling that I am not getting the full dose is still there, but blood tests show that it really did down-regulate so, I guess when you get the runny nose or you sneeze within 5 minutes of having a dose, you are still getting enough to work. I hate the taste, I always have to have a drink or something to eat ready for afterwards.

KitKat - wow that's a lot of info! I think I might copy and paste that in case I have those troubles down the track.

Everyone else - good luck with wherever you are up to on your cycles. I guess a lot of you are in your TWW - fingers crossed for some good news from all of you.

AFM - EC is looking like Friday. Needles are getting more painful every day, but apparently that happens as your estrogen rises, just taking it one shot at a time! Very dehydrated today, apparently I haven't been drinking enough, but I also don't have any other symptoms of OHSS yet. US today showed 9 follicles over 10nm (and 3 or 4 between 16 and 18), but my lining is getting towards the thick side (14.9nm) which could be a problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

Marcellus, is it just me or did that link just take me back to the old thread? I had to find this one the old fashioned way...

Minime, GL for Friday. My clinic tells patients to drink 3 litres/day of water once they start the injections.

Minime - thanks for you encouragement. Wow 4 months of synarel you are a trooper!!! It's wierd but the after taste reminds me that I probably have got the dose so I get a bit anxious until I taste that metallic taste. I can't help with your question about lining because I'm new to all of this but Good luck for Friday. I hope it all goes really well and you get some really juicy eggs.

    Hi

    hello there tracey2010
i can sense your anxiety about starting your first cycle...the first one is always a bit scary as you dont know what to expect. (i presume this is your first cycle?) I have done quite a few stimulated cycles now and started off on a low dose fsh 150 then gradually increased to around 350-400 as i didn't respond very well to the lower doses. I imagine they will monitor you carefully with that dose, am sure you are in good hands.
just want to wish you all the very best...i hope you are one of the lucky ones who fall first go then you wont have to worry about all this again! let us know how you go, when is your first scan?

    Trueblue, sounds great!

Tracey, I used 450iu of gonal-f this cycle. It's the first time I've used that high a dose, but I only produced 5 eggs (I've had between 5-7 eggs on lower doses) so for me it didn't cause any over stimming. Good luck.

Tracey - Just to let you know that I had bleeding on the synarel right up until 3 or 4 days after my first injection. Now I am going to be taking my trigger tomorrow night and will be collecting eggs on Friday, so a bit of bleeding is not a bad thing. I noticed that the FS and nurse kind of just dismissed me every time I mentioned it and I never really got an answer from them just a wait and see. As for the amount of your FSH drug, I'm only on 150ug of gonal f so I'm not really sure. Good luck with everything!

Dreamrise - stay positive, a little bit of bleeding might not be a bad thing... good luck for the BT.

Trueblue - good luck with the US tomorrow. I am going for my last one tomorrow too hopefully it will be a good day all around.

Hey everyone - I haven't been in here for a while. Was hard to find with the new layout. Came in the old way...

Lots of new faces. Does anyone know of news on Loops lately?

I'm coming in for another stim cycle in a couple of weeks. This time I'm in for antagonist cycle for the first time. Dreading the 2 injections. Although Synarel was so hideous.

I have some tips for how to make Synarel easier to take and the injections if anyone's interested in hearing them.

Hope you're all well and looking forward to coming in and sharing your journeys with you xxxxxx

(where did the smilies option go?? - argh this is so confusing)

    Hi everyone,
Well I got my period yesterday... blood test today to confirm what I already knew... however I know need to have a repeat blood test in a few days because my hormone levels are elevated (but not enough to be pregnant). The nurse asked if I had any bleeding and I told her that it had come full on yesterday - really heavy. She then asked if I'd had a bit of cramping and I explained that I had really bad cramping from 2am Tuesday morning and the bleeding started around 11am. She then asked if I had any nausea (which I haven't). Anyway I asked if the higher hormone levels could be due to the hormones I have been on but she said no... so I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on this (my clinic never like answering questions). Someone suggested that maybe I had an early miscarriage and thats why the levels were elevated?

I'm still trying to decide whether I can find the courage and the finances to try another cycle (I only ended up with one embryo from my first cycle - which was transfered at day 2... so will need to start from scratch again).

I don't know how you women keep so strong to keep trying again and again... I've only had one cycle and I'm already so over it. Every cell in my body is screaming out "NO" it doesn't want to try again... but in my heart I'm still not ready to give up the dream.

gday girls to those asking about bleeding. I just on the weekend had a semi a/f was heavy for two days then has stopped the nurse said nothing to worry about. I figure it just means it'll freashen up my lining ready for transfer the nurse called and said she wanted to have another bt done which I had today and another scan tommorrow she said everything is all good she would just like the follie to be a little bigger but she said it'll most likely be trigger tommorrow night and transfer on saturday am over the moon. about to do maybe my last fsh injection woohoo
goodluck everyone else and hugs to everyone who needs them

Dreamrise, if she said it couldn't be caused by the meds then an early m/c sounds most likely. I'm sorry to hear AF is there. I know the difficulty of having to start from scratch each time. We've only had something to freeze twice out of 5 stim cycles.
