    Hi ladies,

Sorry I haven't been posting here for a few days. I've been only been on the TWW thread as I've been struggling to hold it together during my TWW.

Porsche - are you doing down reg? GL with the drugs.
    Hi Ladies

I think I am doing down reg. He didn't actually tell me what type of cycle I'm on. I have to sniff 1 in the am and then 2 in the pm until Af and then sniff 1 in the am and 1 in the pm until CD6 when I start injections. Just hope AF isn't too far away seeing as I haven't O'd this cycle.

    Hi Ladies,
I haven't been in here for a few weeks as I have been in the 2WW forum. I got an HCG of 1800 at 18 dpo, so have finally got my BFP (and pretty high chance of twins it looks, even though I only had one embie put back!!). I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank-you so much for all the support I have received in the last eight months I have been here. It has been such a struggle at times which I thought would never end. Well it looks like it has. I wish each and every one of you all the luck - no-one understands how hard this is, and so much of the time we do this entirely on our own, except for the support in here. Having been here so long I hope you don't mind if I lurk for a little while as I will be hoping for each of you the BFP’s we all deserve.
    xxx

    Morning all,

AF has arrived so I start Jabbing in the morning. Now isn't that something to look forward to lol

Lairdoz - A great big congrat girl. Well done. Hope the next 9 months are smooth sailing for you. I for one would welcome you lurking. A nice reminder of what can happen when you try.

Porsche - I am told that AF can be a couple of days late on the Synarel. So don't panic too much.

I so know I have missed everyone. Sorry. Have the most amazing headache and still not sleeping well. I feel just fine in myself but for this headache. DH arrived home last night for nine days so hopefully I will relax more and get lots of the cuddles I deserve so I can sleep.

    Hi Ladies

    Congratulations Lairdoz!

Wantaminime - I was warned that AF could be a couple of days late but seeing as I hven't even O'd yet this current cycle I have no idea when I would be due? I'm CD33 today and on a normal clomid cycle I would be about a 35+ cycle.

Did I read someone mentioned lavender oil for sleep? Maybe try a little of that to help you sleep.

    Hi Ladies,

I've been a lurker lately - as I've only been posting in the TWW thread - yeah, I'm lazy. Looks like I'll be back here full-time soon enough though. I'm 6 days post transfer and have started spotting with some mild pains today. Bummer! This whole process sucks at times doesn't it?!

Wanta - feels good to finally be able to start the jabbing IYKWIM

Mindhugs - so glad you've got a cruisier cycle this time. GL for EPU!

Porsche - love your term 'dildo cam'. Will be sure to use it (the term not the dildo) in my next cycle.

Sorry girls, just feeling really really down and crappy right now. I'll get out of here before I bring the mood down. Will do more persies next time.

    Hi Ladies,

Kaybee- I'm crossing my fingers and toes that the BT shows you are doing really well.

Trueblue - hope the time flies by for you. Enjoy your new hairdo.

WMM - GL with the injections and enjoy your cuddles!

Lairdoz - feel free to lurk. It's nice to know that people on the other side still think of us. Hope everything goes really smoothly for you. I'm so glad you are off the treadmill now. Enjoy.

Porsche - it doesn't really matter what cycle you are on, I'm just curious. Damn that AF only late when you don't want it to be.

Mindhugs - you've got a nice little brood growing haven't you. GL with EPU hope it goes well.

Purple - GL with EPU. I didn't have any side effects on Gonal apart from so ovary pain towards the end of it, but that's probably my full ovaries and not the gonal. I'm not sure about OHSS so I can't really give any advice.

AFM: 1 week down and 1 week to go in my TWW. Not feeling anything in particular so not overly hopefully of a positive result, but I guess you never know.

    Hi everyone

Just dropping by quickly to say hi to everyone. So

Lairdoz - that is fantastic news for you. Keep us posted on the possibility of twins

Kaybee - hope you are feeling better

Hope all you lovely ladies are surviving your TWW ok. I'm for us all.

AFM....I'm around 11dpo (5 days post transfer) and have everything crossed that the little blasto held on tight.

By the way, I'm loving the acupuncture and herbs (bar the taste). Finding the acupuncture very relaxing and it doesn't really hurt at all.

I had a cry to the nurse this morning. Very embarrassed. I was so scared of the needle I had a bit of a moment. Once I mangaged to jab myself I realised it wasn't that bad and was rather ashamed of myself. I can't believe I reacted that way. It is not like I am a sissy. I can needle a horse easy enough but can't seem to do my own lol. Never mind what is done is done.

Lisa B - I know it seems hard but try to relax and try to remember as much as we want to feel all this stuff we really don't get any real pregnancy symptoms until after there is enough HCG to creat a BFP. Also it is not over til it's over and AF sings. That is what I have told myself every month for the last 5 years and it helps a bit not to over analyse every paim and niggle.

Justina - Hope you TWW is just flying by. Yay for Acup and herbs. I am on herbs myself and feels great for it. When is your BT due

Porsche - How did you go with your appoint yesterday?

Everyone else GL with your sniffing and jabbing and everything else.

    Cheers

    Hi Wantaminime

We had our appointment on Tuesday and I was sent down for BT to check my levels (which I'm still waiting for) and we started synarel that night. So I'm happily sniffing at the moment lol.

    Hi Ladies

I'm having bit of a freak out ATM. Dr D rang back this afternoon with my BT results. Apparently I'm just about to O! I'm really confused and I'm getting upset now because when he did dildo cam he said there were NO dominant follicles. Lining was great though.

Accroding to my BT my estrogen levels are down and my LH levels are up meaning O is tonight. He has me on synarel doesn't that suppress all hormones? He said we have to BD tonight. But there were no dominant follicles! How can I O if I have no follicles?

I'm begining to think I've chosen the wrong IVF Dr. I know they are really busy and most likely overworked but do they not know what one patient is doing from the next? Do they not read your file and take notes?!

I really don't know what to do.

    Hi guys,

I have been MIA for the last month or so, taking a nice break from TTC and the whole IVF lifestyle! Well I'm back with all ovaries blazing so will stop in to catch up on how everyone is doing in the next couple of days....
I had my Day 8 scan of my third stim cycle today and was confronted with two whopping big follies at 18mm and 14mm and then several smaller 'more normal sized' follies for so early on in the piece. I was told by my FS that we would have to forget about the two big ones and focus on the others. But my IVF clinic nurse also mentioned that where the follies are not all developing at the same rate, you can run into dramas with a few big ones spoiling it for all the others?

Can anyone shed any light on what that means and what the worse case scenario could be for this cycle?

    Thanks guys

    Hi ladies,

Porsche - it sucks when you think something is on track and the track detours. I also had an incident when i was doing FSH OI. 5 months went well and they monitored me by US, but on the 6 month they told me no dominant follicle and then did a BT and found out I was about to O. I have no idea where the follicle came from. I wonder if they can see everything in there, after all our ovaries are 3D. My naturopath said it's not the first story like this she has heard. Needless to say I was extremely anxious that I would ovulate prior to EPU but it all went okay.
Just remember that there are a number of different IVF cycles and different doses of drugs and types of drugs that basically do the same thing. If something hasn't worked they will probably just try something different. It doesn't work it doesn't mean something else won't work. They are just learning how your body responds at this point. I know that this doesn't take away your stress.

WMM - I think it is a huge mental thing to begin doing injections. You know what, I can't do them myself I have to get DP or another friend who's a nurse to do them for me. It took a full 30 mins for me to allow DP to give me my first injection as I was scared of a home injection by someone who was inexperienced - I'm the sissy.

Justina - crossing my fingers for you

Hi to all the other ladies, hope you are all doing well.

AFM: got some bleeding today so I think AF will be here in a day or so. I will do a FET in July.

    hello!

    Hi Ladies,

Havent been on for a few days, but have been lurking, been trying to decide what to do!

We've decided to forgo the Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening path for now (mainly because of the expense, $9300 upfront!, and from what ive read on the net about chromosome testing not necessarily being that accurate as they only test about 8 chromosomes...and apparently something like almost 90% of all embryos have some form of chromsome abnormality, yet they can still go on to be a healthy baby).....so jurys out for me on that for now....anyone here gone down that path?

DH and I eventually, after what seemed like ages of indecision, but what was probably only a few days decided to go with another FET cycle, rather than another EPU. FS in going to put me on HRT with Colorado Protocol.....i'll be on proginova, aspirin, clexane, augmentum, prednisolone and the pessaries! yay these are all new to me....except the aspirin.

Also going to give the accupuncture a go with IVF Support in East Vic Park - anyone tried them?

Waiting for AF so i can start - probably not for another 3 weeks......going to tassie for a holiday next weekend for 10 days, so hopefully time will fly.

Porchse - hahaha dildo cam....thats gold! On the follicle front - im assuming no DOMINANT follicles means you still have one or two in there? a friend of mine only got 1 embie (from one lonely folli) on her last ivf/icsi cycle - that little emby is now a 3 month old little boy. So don't be too discouraged. Our bodies all react differently to the drugs. I like to think that all the good stuff went into the one folly and that gave it the best change of survival! On the O front, Syneral stops ovulation (i think) and you have the trigger to O when they want you too (so you stop the syneral after youve taken the trigger)...that way they can work out exactly when to do EPU, so that when they do the follicles are mature. Thats what they did for me anyway (i think!)

K78 - ive got a few prices on pessaries in the perth area...im at hollywood and was advised not to get them from the pharmacy there....
    Hollywood $83/bottle of 15 - $5.53 per tablet - RIP OFF!!
    Leederville $3/tablet
Floreat $2.65/tablet, but only $2.10 if you get 100 tablets
    Spearwood $2.30/tablet
    hope that helps!

Lairdoz - thats AWESOME news, goodluck!

Mummawannabe - it sounds like you must have more 'normal size' follicles underlying the 'huge' ones. I'd say they'd want to focus on maturing those ones so that you get more at harvest. Not sure if the others would be overmature by then?? I know that with my last EPU I had something like 18 follicles, with a few of those much bigger than the others, and they only took 12 out.

Good luck to those in the TWW

I hear what you are saying in regards to the drugs side of things and i anticipate a number of changes as we go along but this is my 4th day on synarel. I have PCO and it is know that your can get a LH surge and not O. Would the FS have no idea if there were any follicles there at all? It doesn't matter I suppose we didn't BD last night anyway. It's hard to get in the mood when you are confused about what the heck is going on. I half expected a temp rise this morning but it hasn't come so I know i havent O'd like he said I was going to. I do have EWCM this morning though but I've been having that on and off since CD12. He said that i would need another blood test but didn't say come in and have one or anything.

If this is how everyone is treated at this clinic then it's a wonder any of his patients get UTD at all.

Hi ladies can i crash in i have been lurking and saw the post from mummawannabe about having two big follies on day 8 i am on day 3 and day 1 of puregon after a bit of a scare yesterday i had my day 2 BT and my FSH was 8 YIPEEE! but my E2 was 359 so they did an u/s and i had a 18mm follie and lots of smaller ones they are going to ignore the big one as they seem to think i always have a dominat follicle on my right ovary as every scan the right ovary is always full of follicles and has a big one so they are hoping the big one just plots along and they are going to consentrate on all the smaller ones i am also a little worried about my E2 as last cycle i started off with E2 around the 200 area and it ended up at 16,400 on the day of trigger so this time it will proberbly go higher i did not have any signs of OHSS but it is in the back of my mind.
Any thoughts or comments would help and has anyone had high E2 on day 2 or had a dominant follicle and continued to stim what was the outcome?

    Hi porsche!

Thanks Wantaminime, Mildez, Lisa B and Mindhugs for your lovely comments about being an aunt again etc- you ladies are awesome!
Same with everyone in here though.
Been lurking a little and trying to catch up a bit.

Good luck to those in TWW - dont forget spotting can be a good sign. FX for you all!

Lairdoz ~ Im super happy for you, and twins too - that is so fantastic and you totally deserve it. We'll miss you around here but I hope to join you in the PG forums before long.
All the best for the next 9 months hun. Hope you pop in from time to time to say hello and tell us how you are going xo

Mindhugs ~ Im doing antagonist cycle next as well - so good to know it seems to be going well for you. GL and FX for you hun xo

AFM ~ Things are starting to finally look up for us, we've sold our tractor! So may be able to do another IVF earlier than October afterall. Im still not going to track my cycles for a while and just live normally for a bit - try not to stess - see if I can anyway.
GL everyone and especially with that Synarel - it does get easier the 2nd time I reckon but I hope none of you have to do it again! All the best - lots of babydust for all!
