oneday - good luck with EPU I will jump on to check your numbers. As for OHSS, the worst case I had was on cycle 2 - it started like bad af pain after epu then was worse the following day then in the middle of the night I woke up with the most awful stomach pains, it hurt to get in and out of bed and I could not stand up straight. Hurt to pee also (not passing the pee but the muscle contraction if you know what I mean). FS saw me for a scan and my ovaries were swollen and I had a fair bit of fluid and a swollen tummy. Used heat packs to help with the pain and took about 2 days to settle down. Hoping you don't get it!
tantee - good luck with your epu as well, will be checking your numbers too!!
springlola - that sounds so awful, you are right and he has been doing it to long and lost contact with what sort of news he is delivering and how it is done. So glad your epu is going ahead, fx all goes well.
kaybee - all the best for et, hope this one is the one. Rest up and enjoy the tww!
kass - best of luck with what decision you make next - its all so hard
I think that is everyone - hi to anyone I have missed
afm - just cranky with af, started puregon tonight and am on 250 this time.
Wasn't going to come on till this afternoon but have some spare minutes before we go to sydney
Springlola i would be putting in a complaint!!!! that is unbelievable, sometimes my nurses will comes back out to the waiting room and tell me what time for an appointment but i would want to hope that they would never speak of something so confidential in front of a waiting room! I think you have made the right decision, they can't tell the quality of your eggs on an ultrasound they cant even tell if all follicles have eggs in them! I wish you all the best and hope you prove them wrong! xxx
Goodluck today aswell tantee xxx
Kaybee i ahve everything crossed that this little one sticks xxxx
Thanks nicole i havn't had any of those signs and i hope i dont get them either sounds horrible. Goodluck with your cycle xx
SpringLola ~ that is so appalling - I felt like crying to reading that. Big hugs!! I think I would have walked out in tears, not paid and wouldnt have gone back. So I really give you huge congrats for being so strong and sticking to your guns! Good on ya hun. xo All the best - I have faith that it will work for you. Really show that DR/nurse up - would be very cool for that to happen
Hi to everyone and thinking of you all!
There are a few currently going through IVF cycles - wishing you all the very best, and
AFM ~ same ol same ol really, think AF right on the door step - cramps and very low temp. Have FS appointment on Thursday and I have a lot of q's for him - what to do next.
Hi ladies, well after being 40 mins late for our appointment time this morning (even know i had to be there 3 hrs before the egg collection) all because of the traffic and wet weather we got stuck in which made us late i was so stressed but it all paid off, i got 20 eggs!!!!!! we cant believe it i got 15 last time but we didn't think we would get that many this time. I am bit sore and bleed a bit this time but sems to have stopped now. I was awake for the whole thing and was pretty unpleasent as it was preety painfull. We still havn't made our minds up about what day we are growing the embryo's to we are waiting till we hear tomorrow how many fertilise so fingers crossed we get a good number.
Springlola - I too would be writing a letter of complaint - send it to head office. Not sure who you are going through but they all have a 'boss' somewhere. They can have their opinion, sure, they can advise you, of course, but to have such a sensitive consultation in a waiting room is just.....I don't even know the word. It's unbelievable. You must be crushed. Come on ovaries, prove that bastard wrong!
Nic - my mild OHSS was exactly the way you described yours. I had never read the symptoms, but now I know the nurse must have been right. Took about 2 days as well. Good luck with jabbing.
Loops - hi!
AFM - had transfer today and all went well. Very bizarrely though they transferred a very good quality (they always say that, don't they) hatching blastocyst which was one of the ones they said hadn't fertilised. So, I thought I had 3 embies, but it turns out I have 7. They explained that the others would have fertilised before they check them for signs of fertilisation, so, the 2 dots they see inside the egg to show it has fertilised had already disappeared when they checked it the day after EPU. Does that make sense? Anyway, this one was the best of the lot, so I'm obviously hoping and praying that it works but trying to not cling too tightly to the dream.
Oneday, that is a fantastic result!! How are you feeling now? You can always rely on Syd traffic to add to the stress. Congrats on a great number.
Kaybee - Congrats on your transfer. I haven't heard of that scenario before. Just goes to show they must be super keen embies! Best of luck for your 2WW.
AFM - Epu today and we got 11 which was a pleasant surprise to me as I was told just before going in that we were looking at about 6 good follies. Feeling quite good, just really tired and had a nanna nap this afternoon. Hoping to get good fertilisation results as last time only 1 out of 4 fertilised (although I did get a bfp from that one) so we are using ICSI this time.
Oneday and tantee - congratulations with your collections - they both sound like good numbers Hope they do really well overnight
Kaybee - Weird! Haven't heard of that before. Hatching is a good start! Hope you're relaxing
Springlola - I'm so sorry you were treated that way. It's inconsiderate, insensitive, and telling you publicly has got to be a breach of doctor-patient confidentiality. I agree with Kaybee and oneday, write and complain. Good on you for sticking up for yourself, I doubt I would have been able to in the same situation. Hope the pick up is successful on Thursday
