hey ladies, well yesterday was an eventful day, i was at the napeon hospital from 8am-9pm with my sister in labour so im now a proud aunty again to a little boy! great day but makes you want it even more!
TF is tomorrow! im trying not to stress and not think about it. we got a text yesterday saying the embies are growing well and on track so is there still 5!!! i hope there is a few. Iv has some what feels like period cramping but i know this could be from the crinone and injections? well i hope thats what it is! still a little tender, its taking me forever to recover! Sorry for TMI but being my first time on the crinone i dont know, iv started to notice there is some crinone when i wipe going to the toilet so when in the shower are we supposed to clean it out up there? or just leave it? sorry
Goodluck happybaby and kaybee, whens your BT kaybee?
Springlola im glad you got some eggs, lets hope this little one sticks xxx
Moonie goodluck and welcome! not sure what that is in size compared to mine cause they told me mine in mm i think, they said they should be around 17mm before you trigger to release them.
Congratulations oneday - were you in the room with your sister when she delivered? Wow! All the best for tomorrow - hope everything goes smoothly FX FX
Monnie - Hi and welcome - may your stay be short and sweet (if you know what I mean). Your scan seems fine - maybe go back through this thread to see what others have had. Things can change a lot from the first scan. I think I had a few more at my first scan (maybe 6 or 7 on each side). I guess they've increased your dose either to get more follicles or help the ones that are there get bigger. Everyone will tell you though that the number doesn't matter - it's the quaility that counts. All the best!
Happybabby - Jumper leads!!! Wow - that outta do it. I love acu too, but haven't been able to afford it this cycle (oh poor me boo hoo LOL).
Hi Lovely Ladies
SpringLola ~ thanks hun, yeh I think May will come round pretty quick, esp with Xmas and New Yr and lots happening in January. We were going to wait longer but the FS said dont put it off too long if you can help it. (I wonder whether he just wants the money though - I dont think he' that sort of person however). So happy for you you finally have a transfer. Will very tight for you that its a real sticky one!
Monnie ~ All the best with the IVF for #2! Sounds pretty good so far - I think I had about the same follies my first go and I hope you have some others catch up. I think anywhere from 10mm to 20mm is a good size. but the closer to 20 the better - but you still have a few days for them to grow - esp with them ^dosage. Goodluck, FX'd for you!
Habbybaby ~ goodluck!
Oneday ~ Congrats on the birth of your nephew. My sis is due mid Jan and I can't wait!
Its pretty normal for lots of Crinone to come out. I think most of it must stay up there but I know - it feels though it wouldnt be working because so much comes out. I think it'd be fine to wipe clean a fair bit. How good is it that we can talk about this stuff with each other and not be embarrassed - its great because we all go through the same thing. All the best for tomorrow, xo
Kaybee ~ thanks and hope you have a lovely weekend as well
Thanks Kaybee and Loops i was in there right up until she started to push, i was supposed to be in there for the whole thing but her hubby decided he wanted it to just be the two of them, which is fair enough, when my time comes it will only be me and DH. This site is great Loops, i would be lost without it not having anyone to talk to or ask questions that know what im going through.
Enjoy the rest of your weekends ladies, im cooking a baked dinner for my DH
No hope at catching up on all the events of the last week so will just wish you all for your various epu's, transfers, twws and bfps!!
Springlola- O.M.G.- I told you he was a pr*ck!! Well, I won't dwell on that only say WOOHOO for your transfer- hope you are flat on your back resting up and good luck for your tww- don't be scared, be excited girlfriend!
Congratulations Aunty oneday!! Don't worry about the crinone, it does come out a fair bit.
Welcome Monnie-I think someone told me once the follies are expected to grow 2mm a day, don't know if that helps or if its even accurate! So when are you having another scan? They need to be near 20mm but I'm sure I had some that were counted and were around 12 or 14mm, can't remember actually. Good luck anyway!
Happybaby- hope the lining is getting fluffy- rest up hon!
Loops- glad you have a plan, praying for a miracle in the meantime for you x
Kaybee-fingers crossed for you- I tested at 9dp5dt on my acupuncturists advice, hope your tww isn't too bad x
Hi to everyone else I can't do anymore persies as too tired from gardening all day. Adelaide was ok but i was a bit up and down, everywhere i look is pregnancy and baby announcements, it is getting me down ( but i hope you all get bfps of course xx) Its been good to have a break from work and now i feel ready to go back. FS appt this Friday.
Oneday - congratulations on being an aunty again, wow so special being with your sister through labour too, but a bitter sweet time aswell. Hopefully it will be your turn this month! Glad things are looking great for your transfer tomorrow, once the crinone turns to "cottage cheese" (sorry tmi) I try to get rid of it otherwise it seems to accumulate.
Kaybee - hope the TWW isn't dragging too much for you!
Springlola - yay for transfer, fx over the next 2 weeks
Loops - hope you get some answers from your tests!
Welcome Monnie! Hope your follies are growing nice and fat
Happy Baby - hope your lining is thickening up nicely too!
Tantee - sorry I lose track of everyone in here, have you had your transfer yet?
Hi jayejaye, saffy, nicoleh, and lmm, hope you are all well!
afm - I saw my FS on Friday, he couldn't believe I was ok, he said he thought I would be waddling in hunched over in pain, but said I could have my transfer on Monday! yay! since then though my stomach has bloated I look about 6 months pregnant and will probably have to avoid going out in public for a while!
I was just giving myself a lecture today because I didn't start my progesterone on time!!!!! But then I read my instructions again and one said to start after transfer and one said to start the day after EPU. I started tonight and transfer is Monday, I hope I haven't jeopardised my lining
Hugs to everyone - hope your cycles are all going well fx for some strong bfp's!!!
Aimee - It must be a relief that your transfer is going ahead. GL for tomorrow - I hope it all goes smoothly and that you can keep your OHSS at a reasonable level.
Saffy - I hope the break helped, although it is difficult when there are babies and pregnant women all around you. Good luck with Friday's appointment.
Loops - May will come around quickly. Has your FS specified what he is looking for in the blood tests?
Welcome Moonie. You have come to the right place! It is so nice to have people around you that know nearly exactly what you are going through. I had no idea about the ins and outs of ivf before I started and find it hard to discuss with friends who don't understand the whole process. I hope all goes well for you in your cycle. My FS was looking for follicles at about 18mm to trigger.
Happybaby - Hopefully those jumper leads have kicked that lining into action! When is your next scan?
Springlola - Good news re your transfer. How did you go?
Kaybee - How are you survining the 2ww? I hope it goes quickly for you. I got a bfp on my cycle in July at 9dp2dt, although kept testing every day after that as I used pregnyl on that cycle and was not sure if it was a true positive or not.
Oneday - How did you go today? Did you have your transfer. It sounds very positive that all 5 of your embies were still thriving on Day 3.
Hi Nicoleh and Littlemiss - hope all is well
AFM - I had my ET this morning. We transferred 1 x hatching blastocyst (albeit on the 2nd attempt as my bladder wasn't near full enough on the first attempt). I was amazed that the scientist said I may have 4, possibly 5 to freeze. 2 were at the same stage as this one. I have never been past Day 2 before so am amazed that this cycle is so different, it has to be the ICSI! I now have a whole new embryo genre to google - and a plus with getting to this stage - only 11 days until testing :-)
Sorry if I have missed anyone but that is about as much as my little brain can handle at the moment.

Oneday ~ it will be your turn one day soon, FX'd tight its very soon.
Saffy ~ sorry you're a bit down, I know how you feel. Goodluck at your FS appointment - hope you get some answers and a plan of attack! Big hugs
Aimee ~ yay that your transfer can go ahead Goodluck for tomorrow, will have FX'd. I think as long as you start 1 or 2 days before transfer - so you should be fine. Hugs
Tantee ~ Great news! You must be happy with that result, good on ya and for a BFP for ya
Hi to everyone and hope you're enjoying your Sundays xo
AFM ~ DH and I are very ****ed off and upset at the moment - he finished his dairy farming a few days ago and his ex-bosses are re-fusing to pay him his last few days of work because they reckon he's had plenty of days off for IVF appointments and couple of holidays etc. Unfortunately no-contracts were signed when he started although he has had group certificates and been on a wage and so is entitled to the normal sick and annual leave, so I reckon if they dont pay him I might be able to take it to the wage ombudsmen. What *****s though - the sh** people can get away with!
Hey ladies had my transfer today, 1 good embie went back in but none to freeze aparently the other 4 had not grown anymore since day 3, i still cant believe our bad results this time! i even had DH on more supplements but it only takes one so we are hoping this is our lucky one, please please!!! Im a bit shocked at how long i have to wait to test, i was given 2 Wee tests to do at home on the 23rd and 25th of december!!! but also a form for a blood test to check my prog and HCG levels (i requested this) but i will def have AF way before that if im not pg so i will know.
Thanks everyone for the congrats, i saw the little man again today, so cute!
Saffy i know what you mean its sooo hard, at the hospital with my sister there was pg people every where and lots were young girls. I hope you were able to do some well deserved relaxing xx
Tantee thats great news!!! and hatching is good my pg cycle was a hatching one! see you in the 2ww! xx
Loops sorry to hear your frustrating news!!! some bosses are real a*se h*l*s. You know your rights so i would fight for them, i do with my boss now my yr has been sh*t*y enough without her crap xx
Aimee not sure about the progesterone i started mine 2 days after EPU (thurs and TF was today sun) best of luck for tomorrow xx
Loops, I'm sorry that you guys are having such a difficult time with DH's old work. Fair is fair, you work, you should get paid!
Oneday, I have been waiting all day to see how you went. I'm glad that your transfer went well but sorry that you had none to freeze. I was in the same position last cycle with just a 2dayer and got a positive, so your blastocyst still has an excellent chance. My BT is on the 16th, so I can't understand why they are making you wait so long - especially at Christmas but I suppose they know what they are doing. I am a serial POASer so it doesn't make much difference to me.lol Sending you sticky vibes and hoping that your blastie begins to get comfortable and make itself at home.
Yeah im hoping so Tantee! the thing that makes me not so positive is the period pain or what feels like it i just hope its the crinone as i will be devastated if the embie dosn't even get a chance to work considering we only got one! Did anyone else get pains this early with the crinone? I will be hearing 2mo about my BT results for my prog today so fingers crossed my levels are ok.
Hi everyone,
I just want to wish you all the very best this month...
I am feeling like stepping back a bit is helping my headspace, so going to drop off this thread and lay low for a while. to you all x
LMM
Oneday - great to hear your transfer went well but sorry there are no frosties, hopefully you won't need a next month. You're test date is a while, I have my transer tomorrow and my test date is the 20th. I have had heaps of cramping and pains with crinone as well, hopefully thats what it is.
LMM - hope you're ok and you find your break refreshing and comforting!
Tantee - lol about the "serial poas" me too! i was so good for the first few cycles but now i have given up waitng til test day.
Loops - sorry about your DH's work, hopefully it can get sorted out soon!
AFM - have decided to take crinone in the morning and pessaries at night, is that a dumb idea? I can't believe I forgot to ring the scientists two days in a row hopefully the embies are growing ok.
Saffy: Yay your back!!! Yes you did tell me, but I guess I found out first hand he's a mongrel...but I guess I wont have to bother with him anymore ..
I know how you feel about everybody else and BFP's and Babies everywhere...I evev found myself saying the other day..oh for ****s sake how many bloody babies does Angelina Jolie need..enough already!!!..But then I think we don't know everybodies elses stories they may be battling the battle we all do, or worse ones....thats my bend on it anyway..makes me feel a bit better to think there are worse off people than me
Loops: That is disgusting behaviour on the DH's employers behalf...I would go to Job watch, even without a contract I think you'll find they will have some answer for you, or the ombudsman..(?) Its bad enough people have to work, but to be treated like that is the worst...good luck with that
Aimee: Doesnt your nurse or the scientist call you...but call girl!! we need to know LOL...cant wait for you to join us in the TWW thread...come over to the dark side ..that is fabulous news..OHSS and a transfer, how many have grown to blasto...yay ..keep us posted.
littlemissmountain: Good luck hope you find your happy place ..
tantee: Glad you transfer went well, come join us in the TWW thread..
Welcome Moonie
Well AFM don't feel differant its kinda weird thinking that there may be something happening..but just taking it easy, and trying not to go mental.
Sorry for anyone I've missed...Thinking of you all...

: because I tap the keys before my brain works :)
oneday - that certainly is a long time to wait to test. At Monash they test on 16dpo which if you have a blasty put back in is generally 11dpt. So i POAS @ 9dpt as i figured it should work by then, and it did. Everyone is different though and some dont like to POAS as it can cause more anxiety!! (like you need more!!). Also if you are having pains that can be a positive sign - i definitely had cramps on the transfer that worked and they were very similar to period pains.
Tantee - good luck with your tww! Big FX for you.
Aimee good luck with your transfer today!!
Springlola, lmm, saffy, Loops & KB - hope you are all well and things are goind well.
I hope you all get the news you want for christmas!!

Oneday - My nurse said that anytime they are dealing with the uterus you are likely to get some kind of cramping or slight bleeding as it is extremely sensitive and a lot of women will prematurely right their cycle off because of the symptoms. After the trauma of the last few weeks with meds and procedures I'm sure that it is normal for you to experience some sensitivity.
Little Miss Mountain - I understand what you mean about needing to take a step back. It can become all consuming. I hope you enjoy your time out and come back to us refreshed. Best wishes xx
Aimee - Did you call the clinic today? How are your embies doing?
Springlola - I hope your little one is progressing nicely. The waiting game is difficult.
JayeJaye - hope all is well with you, Feb will be here in no time at all. The crazy Christmas period is a great distraction.
AFM - The embryologist called today to say that they froze 4 blasties yesterday and then froze another 2 today (Day 6)! I am in total shock! I might hop over to the 2ww thread so that I don't drive you all crazy with my 2ww obsessing but will be checking in every day to check up on everyone.
Tantee - Yay for the great results! I like your quote too.
Springlola, cute user name, makes me think of dancing in the springtime! my nurse only rings me after fertilisation then its my job to call after 10, but we were out on the weekend and I forgot to call. My old clinic would phone each day and usually I'm waiting by the phone with baited breath (twice we haven't made it to transfer, it can be nerve wracking!) I'm really praying for good news for you just you esp after the horrible treatment you received!
AFM - am just about to jump into my first tww thread, am a little excited! On Saturday we had 6 day 3 embies frozen!!! Not sure how many will progress later on but wow, we've never had this many before. They grew 5 embies to day 5 (today) and 3 made it to blast, we had 1 4aa embie transferred and the other 2 frozen. I can't believe how much results can change each cycle this is our 4th stim cycle this year and we've never had these kinds of results before. FS still checked my 6 month pregnant bloated stomach and was still worried but I tried to hold it in (my stomach). Am trying not to get too excited as its a horrible let down but oh well!
Hi Jayejaye, oneday, lmm (just in case you're still here), saffy, loops & kaybee hope you're all going well!!!
oneday - hope everything goes well in the tww, it will drive you mad - every little twinge. If its any help on my last cycle when I got my bfp i had cramps, backache and was really emotional and I got a bfp and I was positive it was af coming. Hang in there!!
aimee - glad your transfer went ahead and all went well, this will be my 4th stim cycle this year and I am hoping I get something to freeze this time.
tantee - another tww lady, hope all goes well for you and try not to stress, great freeze results too
springlola - so glad everything worked out for you in the end, hope this cycle is your cycle!!
saffy - nice to see you back, hope you enjoyed your break and I know what you mean about pregnancy and babies being everywhere - it seems impossible to get away from. WHen do you think you will cycle again?
Hi Kaybee & Loops and anyone else I may have missed - hope you are all well
afm - had my 2nd scan today, have about 8-9 follies of varying size. FS has put puregon up from 250 - 300 and I have another scan Wed. EPU will be either Friday or Monday (hoping for Friday so the eggs don't get too old!!)
