    Question

Hi littlemissmountain how are you going? Yes these forums can be addictive, but please stick around the more the merrier i say! Good luck for this cycle, i hope you get a christmas miracle

nicoleh, hope you got lots of nice plump eggies this morning...everything crossed for some lovely embryos

Hi kass, good to hear you are going ok and feeling less stressed. YAH on quitting your job (i always love leaving jobs!!) Are you going to get another job or chillout while doing ivf? As i said in a previous post I just couldn't handle working too much, especially in a stressful job, and then try and stay calm & focuses on ivf. We dont realise just how much emotional energy is needed to get through each cycle. I went into this cycle so calm & relaxed and vowed to not let it stress or worry me and just go with the flow....but yeah right! do you think i can maintain that attitude?...NO WAY!! I'm so angry & frustrated & pi55ed off with this whole horrible nightmare journey

Sorry for the rant there girls, i hate being like this. Just had another scan this morning and follicles have hardly budged! have lucky last scan on wednesday and if things not better then i think i will cancel, i'm not willing to go to epu for just 1 maybe 2 eggs. This will be our last cycle at our current clinic, i have appointments all lined up in January for a new clinic ....maybe 2011 will bring renewed hope (God i need it!!)

    Hi to everyone

    Hi Lovely Ladies

Kaybee ~ YAY, big CONGRATULATIONS! Very All the best for a H&H pregnancy

Yogi ~ Im sorry I think I mucked up your post with Kaybee's the other day. It was you that asked how to cope with Xmas. I hope all is ok for you, its very hard. I think the other day I just said, I just try and be happy for others with kids because I wouldnt want anyone to have to go through what we are. Its not gunna be easy for me though either. Goodluck hun. Im sorry that the follies arent growing but I'm still they get going and you get to have a EPU! xoxo

nicoleh ~ YAY for 15, rest up and all the best for your transfer. Hope those embies are growing and dividing nicely, FX'd.

Kass ~ Sorry about your job and everything but I hope you are happy being stress free for a while. Next year will be our year!

LMM ~ great to see you hanging around - I'm the same, can't seem to stay away, it's just that these ladies are all so wonderful :-)
We will get there next year! Or sooner for you.

Hi to everyone else and hope to see some more BFP's very soon -

AFM ~ AF finally arrived and now I have pain, can't win. Im still waiting for the Medicare rebate too - its been over 8 weeks Just bring on 2011 I say.
Also just found out my ex and wife (whom Im friends with) are now pregnant and due in a few months - Im usually not too bad with finding out about pregnancy but this one kind of stung a bit especially since I only just found out and not from them either.

    Hi Ladies,

Just a quickie - thank you so much for your lovely supportive words and cheers - I do feel very special.

Loops - why is your rebate taking so long - mine took less than a week. Don't they realise you need that money for Chrissy. Thank god AF finally got here - and here's hoping next month brings a natural miracle for you. xx

Nicole - congratulations on your fantastic EPU. I can imagine you wouldn't be feeling too great right now. Rest up and drink HEAPS. Fingers crossed for great fertilisation numbers.

    Bring on those 2011 BFP's

Thanks heaps Kaybee! I'm expecting it this week and If I dont get it in next couple of days I'll ring Medicare. In my paperwork it always says 6-8weeks but I dont really know why some people get it sooner. Do you go into a Medicare Office for yours? It was the 1st step that took the longest though, waiting for the 1st cheque which gets made out to the FS. I am happy AF came though - thank you. Wont be expecting a miracle but I hate it when my body is out of whack so hopefully this cycle everything is pretty much getting back to normal. Then I'll look forward to May for another IVF go and just pray and hope in the mean time.

Ohh I'm so happy for you! Hope you're the 1st of many BFP's in here to come!

    Hi all

loops - sorry medicare is mucking you around. Hopefully af will finish off soon and you will get your dream in 2011.

kaybee - hope all is well, when is your next BT & FS appt? Such exciting news - super happy for you

afm - still got tummy ache, scientist called to say that all 15 eggs were mature and out of the 15 they did icsi on 13 have fertilised. That is great but I will wait till ET on Saturday to get excited as my numbers usally drop off (happend every other time) want 2 awesome ones to transfer and some to freeze this time would be a great relief so I could do a frozen cycle if this does not work instead of another full stim. my fx!!!!

Nicole that's a fantastic start! Hope not too many drop off - rest up for transfer!

Loops - hope medicare comes in soon, sometimes it takes forever - Don't be sorry about my job - it's the best decision I've made in a long time! I feel like a huge weight has been lifted, and I've got so many things I can now do with all the extra time - I'm really looking forward to finishing up this week

Loops i feel the sdame about 2010, when we thought things couldnt possibly get any worse this yr after 4 failed cycles, a miscariage and x amount of other things that have gone wrong this yr my DH's car is broken again, a week before xmas! DH and i have had a really tough yr and cant wait for 2011 to hurry up and come. I too am waiting on my cheque???

Oneday - so sorry to hear this cycle wasnt the one You are always welcome here but of course i wish you werent (you know what i mean) Yeah its been a 5hitty year for a lot of us, cant wait to say "good riddence 2010....bring on 2011" For the last 6 years i've been saying "well, NEXT year will be our year"....but every year comes around and its the same ole crap!! DH & I are finally reaching a point where things HAVE to change somehow soon, and if that means jumping off this ivf nightmare rollercoaster...then thats what we will have to do, 2011 will be the decider!! (bit scary )

nicoleh - 13 embryos is brilliant!! I'm so jealous....thats more than i've have over 5 stimulated cycles in the last 2 years! You are a super-dooper little egg machine (cluck cluck )

Well, i'm going for epu on friday with 3 lousy pathetic follicles...its the same ole story! My body has been fairly consistent over the years only getting 2-4 eggs but luckily they usually always fertilise and i always make it to transfer so i'm happy with that. Unfortunately my body is also consistent with miscarrying...i live in fear each time that i will lose the next pregnancy. I have told DH that if i m/c again then that will definitely be the end for us, we just cant keep putting ourselves through the heartache of, not only ivf cycle after cycle, but then m/c after m/c.....its just tooooo heartbreaking & soul destroying.
Anyway, am trying to just focus on the present moment and keep positive for this cycle.

    have a great day ladies

oh yogi bear you are a very inspirational women! 6 yrs of this crap and your still going, you deserve a baby so much to go through so many yrs of heartache and iv only been doing it for 1 yr and im nearly ready to give up! My DH and i have talked about one more STIM cycle then doing a STIM cycle with donor sperm, im not sure how my DH will feel if it ever comes to this but we have talked about it so thats a good thing but i can see how much it crushes him. Have you and your DH discussed this or is he not your infertility problem? I wish you so much luck for this EPU and i really do hope you get your much deserved baby xxxx

Afm im booked in for monday to see my FD to discuss my cycle and my next cycle (cant do another STIM till i see him) I know its quick but i want to get it out of the way so i can enjoy xmas and be ready for another STIM in january if i get in. I have a question, i think i had a mild case of OHSS after i had my STIM cycle but went away after 4 days but today i have the same pains again?? my nurse told me if i was to get pg that OHSS can flare back up but im not pg so can the symptoms also come back when you get your period? (i have AF now)

oneday - hugs, I am sorry to hear this was not your cycle. Its always so dissappointing, take care and look after yourself. Good luck with your fs appt and its a good thing you & DH have discussed donor sperm. We have had the donor talk in our house too and we are prepared to go down that road if we have to.

yogi - good luck for Fri, its such a frustrating ride this ivf isn't it. Have they ever been able to give you a reason as to the m/c's?

hope everyone else is doing well

afm - still a bit sore, should get another report from the scientist today. fx for Sat.

Oh oneday thankyou for your kind words but i certainly dont feel very inspirational!!!....words like loser & failure more come to my mind!! I guess the thing is, just like life in general, you just never know what life is going to throw at you. You just have to deal with it the best you can, work with what you have and move forward as positively as you can.
As for donor sperm....we have used donor sperm all along. DH found out 5 years ago that he cant have biological children. It was devastating at the time and took about a year to come to terms with...but now I see family, children & relationships in general in a different light. Genetics definitely do NOT make a good parent. Genetics is still very important in understanding where you come from and discovering who you are as a person, which is why we totally agree with complete openness and telling our kids how they were "made"....but at the end of the day, on the flip side of that coin....it really doesn't matter because it all comes down to creating a beautiful happy family with total love & trust. I think also having had so long to realise that genetics is not the most important thing, we are very comfortable with adoption. We had talked about adoption even before we decided to try for children before we found out about DH....so its something that has been in the back of our minds for a very long time. In fact, it is going to be our next step (with or without giving birth)...it actually feels very right for us
Donor sperm or eggs is not for everyone, i guess it depends how much emphasis you place on your own genetics and how important it is to have "your own" baby with your genes. But for us, children are children everywhere no matter where they come from or whos genes they have....all they want, and deserve, is loving parents to nurture them, guide them, trust them and give them a happy healthy family environment. I believe trust & respect are the most important elements of any relationship (and of course love).....if you open your hearts and embrace children for who they really are then they will reciprocate that love & repect ten-fold!!

All the best for monday with your FS, great that you are thinking ahead and keeping positive, thats how this journey goes...one foot in front of the other...

nicoleh - What are you doing up so early!!! I hope you are feeling a bit better now. Let us know how your little embies are going? I'm sure you will have some very nice ones for sat. Are you puttin two back?

How is everyone else going? I'm not sure there are many of us here? I think everyone is winding down now for xmas (i think i am the last one to go for epu at my clinic tomorrow)
Have a good day ladies...another quote i always remember..."So often the greatest endings have the most difficult beginnings"

Hello ladies, well no christmas baby news for us this time round... I can't wait for 2011! Can anyone tell me, if best for fresh or frozen embryo transfers? I have four frozen and my doc all good to transfer two next time, but friends are saying I should try the fresh transfer again?!

hi everyone. I hope i'm joining the right 'group' I got a bit confused with all the different ones..so if there is a more appropriate one please let me know!!

DH and I have been trying for over 12months. and recently discovered his vasectomy reversal didn't work so we will have to go down the Assisted conception path. Our first appointment is booked for early Feb, but we are on the list to get in sooner if something comes up.

so, i guess our ttc is sort of on hold until the appointment. but i still want to be part of a group, esp. people who have been through this part before.

sending the best to everyone whereever they are in their journeys!!!
