I haven't been in here much lately so I have lots to catch up on....I hope you are all well.
CONGRATULATIONS ROSE!!!!!!
I am soooooo happy for you and I am wishing you all the best for the next nine months. That is the best news.
We are off the the IVF clinic for our first appointment at the end of March, so I am waiting (imapatiently) for that. I am not sure whether to be excited or terrified, but I am trying to stay positive and see it as a step in the right direction. I will probably be asking you girls tonnes of questions once we know exactly what kind of treatment we will be getting......I hope that is okay.
Now off to the old thread to catch up on what has been happening!
Jano, how are you holding up sweetie, don't worry to much about DH's issues, i know this sounds silly, but ICSI will do the trick nicely for you. My girlfriends husband had really dodgie sperm and ICSI fixed them up. There second child was actually conceived naturally.... stay calm honey, you guys will be ok....
I just wanted to say a huge congrats Rose, that is fantastic news, and no don't feel guilty about sharing your news, it's good news like yours that keep us long termers going.
As for me, if no good news Tue, I have missed the opportunity for our FET in March, so it will be another full stim cycle in June, plenty of time to get our bodies in tip top shape (gotta look forward to things)
Rose.....CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP. That is the best news i have heard in a long time. Don't ever feel guilty posting your news in here. It is hard for every single one of us going through this TTC rollercoaster, but news like yours does more for us in here than in the real world coz it is an amazing confidence booster. We know what you have been through to get here, and now we all look to you and think to ourselves that it will happen to us too, because it's happened to Rose.
I'm soooo happy for you and i wish you all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy.
Thank you SO much everyone for your congratulations, I can still hardly believe they are for me. I am so glad that I can add this glimmer of hope for you all. It's been a long journey indeed for us, four years (and that doesn't count the year I spent convincing DH that children would be a grand idea, how little I knew back then about what was in store for us!!) I think I will write my story up under the Success Stories sticky once I have a little heart beat confirmed in a few weeks.
We all know that this infertility circus is one of the hardest things you can ever go through but I do firmly believe that it toughens us up, makes us strong and wonderful women that empathise more easily than others and know how to take lifes knocks on the chin. They're not qualities I really went out of my way to develop in myself, I didn't really want this crash course in strength and resolve, I had no choice in the matter but I really do think it's made me a better person nonetheless.
Thank you again for sharing your generous congratulations with me and I wish you all the very, very best and stacks and stacks of dust:
Rose, you are right, and I wish you all the best. It was such good timing to hear your news.
Ann - good luck for Tuesday
Leis - I have been holding up well, at least there is no more worrying about what the problem might be etc, we now know the hand we have been dealt and we just need to move forward the best way we can. I was reading the ICSI is now the most common technique that they use which is reasuring.
We have had a stressful weekend, mother in law problems, just when I wanted a quiet weekend to have a quiet knit and think about things, never mind. Next weekend is the big wedding, I told Mum we couldn't stay because we were ovulating, and she roared laughing, she said to me, "there's an image I didn't need" LOL so she understands. If we had have stayed there would have been a fight for the fold out couch as all my siblings and their kids are going to be home being a total of 16 of us for 3 bedrooms....that doesn't equal privacy, some are even taking their own tent! DH and I will be swanning about at a motel. \/ while they camp, as long as we dont have any little people stowing away to get to the motel with us as DH is popular with my 8 year old nieces (3 of them)
Jano glad you are staying at a motel. Gosh imagine having to have a sneaky BD whilst you were at your rels house on the fold out... no thanks...it just wouldn't happen, and baby making BDing is sometimes difficult enough for us LTTC...
Well not long now ladies and my op will be on thursday... you know this time around I am really freaking out, so much so I can't eat, sleep and my hair is falling out like nothing else. Last time i wasn't worried at all, which is strange as they didn't know what they were going to find, and this time they know exactly what is in there and exactly what they have to do. Oh i don't know... i think with all the added stress of Dads illness and DH found out yesterday he didn't get the job up here, so he is still in for the Sydney commute. I was so angry as he didn't even get an interview..... I cried so much yesterday it was pathetic, actually come to think of it, I can't remember if I have every felt so down in all my life, I am really to the point now where I don't give a sh*t as nothing has gone right for us in the last 2 years, we are now contemplating a move back towards Sydney, where we will be closer to the IVF clinic and decent work for me, I am sick of working in country hospitals, and at least DH will be home more often and with dads illness i need to be able to jump on a plane when need be....
Sorry for the big bad boar, but I should of really posted this in the vent forum, but i didn't think i was going to vent until i was half way through this post.....
Hello ladies, just trying to catch up on weekend gossip -its actually been a it quite in here!
Rose -how is the preggie lady feeling -still on high I guess?
Jane -gooduck next weekend on catching in the egg and remember even if the motel doesn't do the trick, then you have the ICSI all teed up. Success in only just around the corner i'm sure
Hope everyone else is well .
As for me, just got home from weekend in Yarra Valley from grape grazing. I was designated driver so no wine for me. Not that I felt like drinking anyway. Was supposed to be 14 weeks pg this weekend and still feel guilty about the thought of alcohol (silly I know!) Saturday was a nice relaxed day but I was not good company at all today -AF appears to have arrived sooner than expected. VERY painful and clotty (sorry TMI) -actually resembles my m/c more than normal AF so probably clearing out remaining "product" and hopefully HCG dropping to 0. I know its all a "good" thing. Even getting a natural AF for me is a bit of miracle, however, has brought back reminders of m/c and I am highly emotional -crying at drop of hat for no good reason -darn bodies we have no control over!!
Also, now that AF has arrived today, not sure how I stand with the OI. Was supposed to be having repeat HCG/prog and appt with IVF nurse on Thurs but probably should be starting injections sooner. Have not used puregon before. Does anyone know what day of the cycle you are meant to start ?. Thought it was cd2-3 but not sure. Praying that we can still go ahead with this cycle -I am sooo desperate to TTC again.
Our house is very quiet tonight -all the furry babies are still with "baby sitters" -will pick them all up tomorrow and have some company again.
Hi all,
Meredith: After my mc's ( one of those I had to have 2 D&C's due to retained placenta) I has told to ring the clinic day one or 2. I pretty sure that AF shows a -5hcg. I'd ring and maybe they can fax a BT to be done tomorrow so your cycle won't be cancelled.
Leis: You sound exhausted, hope as the day comes closer you start to feel better, not much chance really. Shame about DH job, it sounds like it might of made life a little easier.
Jane: Whoohoo I had to laugh about the littleys in tow. My DH has a way with his nieces and nephews, we always seem to take home more things than we go with..lol. I agree that motel sounds so more relaxing than the fold out, nothing worse than stage fright at o time tmi sorry
Cherie: Hows things going for you?
Hope you all have had a great relaxing weekend..something about being a SAHM you don't get the sads on Sunday.
Bec
Firstly please let me apologize for my MIA for the past few weeks. I have been a little stressed and under a heck of a lot of pressure with DH's work and finally starting to build our house, settling DS into kinder and finding me time.
Anyway, How is everyone? I trust that you are all doing well and that there will be a truck load of BFP in the next few days/weeks.
ME: well I have finally commenced the Nasal spray (syneral) this morning and yes the memory of it from last time remains, tastes disgusting. Continuing on the pilll until the 24th and bt is booked for the 3/3.
I however have a question for you. During the day, Yesterday i went to the toilet and (sorry if tmi) had some spotting, a little like the end/begining of AF. Then when i wiped there was a little more. I put a panty liner on and over night nothing but this morning I still have a little only when I wipe??????? I am currently at CD 19?????
Has anyone experienced this before. I am getting mixed feelings. Could it be an implant bleed as DH and I had relations 2 days before, but then again i am currently on the pill, or could it just be a break thru bleed, which i have never had before?????
Sorry for the long winded sarga. Hope that someone can help.
Well again i hope andtrust that you are all well. have a great day. And i look forward to chattting with you soon.
Hi Girls....hope you're all fit and as well as can be expected...
Leis - Sorry to hear you are so down...that sounded just like me a few weeks ago. Just think...once you've hit rock bottom..the only way is up. Take care af yourself and big hugs to you.
Well my FANTASTIC news is that for the first time since 27th December 2005 i have had NO BLEEDING for over 24hrs. I'm sooooo happy it's not funny, although it may be speaking too soon as i'm on Primolute which i stop taking on Wednesday, which will hopefully bring on a period (if there's anything left in there LOL) which will mean that we know where we are in my cycle and can start clomid again.
Yah Shan
Sounds like you might get a fews days respite before another small interuption. But it looks promising anyway.
SC: I read your thread somewhere else about the spotting, I use to have it early due to hormone and excess blood to the cervix esp if bd. My gyn said as long as it was oldish not to worry, I use to freak that they missed O.
Have a great day everyone
