Kristie - I just wanted to say I am going through EXACTLY the same thing as you so I know how you feel. My FS told me she thinks I have endometrial hyperplasia at my last appointment so I have read up HEAPS and HEAPS about it since then. I have to have the same procedures as you. Basically the "operation" is just a biopsy so it's not too bad. It's just to check whether there are any pre-cancerous cells. If you are bleeding it is unlikely the outcome will be bad. Most of the time the cancer is developed by post menopausal women or women who very rarely bleed. I have a very good oncologist (He is the head of gyno oncology at the Royal Women's in Melbourne) that I already see for consistently high CA125 levels --- CA125 stands for cancer antigen levels and it is a tumour marker for ovarian cancer. According to him, these tests are precautionary and it's very unlikely to be anything to worry about. That said, I know how you feel. Trust me...It is hard not to worry. But try not to
Take care
