Oneday - I'm so terribly sorry. I can't imagine the pain you are feeling now. I wish there was something I can say to take it all away. It's just not fair and you are so entitled to feel it's not fair.
AFM: My HCG is 444 and P4 is 90 (i'm on crinone). I'm really scared of the scan in 2 weeks, but hoping for the best. I feel really guilty that I'm successful so far when so many ladies here have been on IVF so much longer than me. There really ought to be some sort of que.
-
Congrats Lisa, that is great news. How many dpo are you?
-
Hi Lairdoz,
Thanks for the congrats. Yesterday I was 14dp2dt - I think that's how your write it. 14 days past 2 day transfer. Not sure how this translates into DPO.
-
Hey everyone. I'm over here in the TWW again.
Had 1 Blastie put back yesterday and they froze 1 too. I'm a little peeved. My FS is away and am being looked after by a lovely FS in his absence, but 2 days ago I had 6 embies looking good and now we have one on board and one in reserve. This was going to be our last IVF. We are out of cash!!! Unless we sell the house that is. So we are crossing our fingers big time. Everytime I had a blastie put back through FET I could feel them implant within 24 hrs. Only one of those made it and then died - I actually got some blood spots in my pants with that one which gave me hope. However this time I have had NO IMPLANT PAIN or BLOOD SPOTS which worries me so much.:cry::cry:
Oh, why is TWW so painful???
Lairdoz and Lisa - so happy for you guys.
Oneday - really sorry honey - I def know how that feels.........
-
Hi all,
Mindhugs - don't panic!! Every pregnancy is different and I'm sure that goes for implantation too. Maybe it's going to implant tonight or maybe it already has but it's in a slightly different spot and that's why you didn't feel it. I (we all) know how desperate that feeling is just praying it will work. It's not fair that money has to be such a big factor in making these life decisions, is it? I was looking around my FS's office today at all the things I have paid for for him - laptop, new artworks, lovely winter coat.... Good luck with this cycle
Lisa - so so so happy for you :leap: Have a lovely, happy, healthy pregnancy and birth sweetie
AFM - I guess I should get out of this TWW thread now as I think I've been here for more than 2 weeks. My hcg is still going up but FS told me today to expect a mc soon (around 95-97% chance) because numbers are still so low. If that doesn't happen then I'll have a scan in a couple of weeks to confirm there's no heartbeat and then, most likely, a d&c. Can't wait.
I don't want to bring the mood down in this hopeful thread. The TWW is hard enough already. I will be lurking though to check on all of those Big Fat Positives!!! Best of luck ladies
BT Dates:
Lisa - 30 June :bfp:
mumoncemoreplease - 1 July
Yogi - 2 July
-
Hi Ladies,
This is my first post. I am on the 1st FET from my 2nd full stim cycle of IVF, and well into the TWW. My BT is on 14 July, but I usually get my AF beforehand, so I should have a good indication how this cycle is going by next Friday. Am feeling positive about this one though....just impatient!
Anyway, fingers and toes crossed for you all!
-
Hi everyone
I'm back on TWW exactly a month after my last attempt - it's really good to see that there have been a few BFPs in that time - congratulations everyone!
Hope this month will be the one!
-
*sigh*
No symptoms - just sore BB's, which could be the crinone. Gee doesn't crinone play with your emotions. I've been so "whoah is me" "why me" "I'm sick of herbs, acupuncture, meditation, positive thinking,IVF drugs - do I really have to do all of this just to fall?"
EHM - my BT is 14th July if I don't get my AF by Friday. Good luck with your TWW.
Kaybee - thanks hun. The emotions get the better of us all at times. My poor DH.
kass - I hope this is yur BFP - FX.
-
Wishing everyone the best of luck. I hope it's your last TWW in a very long time.
Mindhugs - don't worry about no symptoms. I was so on the watch for symptoms and had written myself off for the month. I did a HPT and low and behold I had a BFP. I still don't have any real symptoms.
-
Hi everyone, I guess it's time to join this crazy thread of waiters. Today I had my first ET from my first cycle of ivf and I honestly didn't think I'd be making it this far. It's great to be here!! :D
One question: what do people do in terms of diet in the 2ww? I have been scouring for tips (anything to increase my chances) and so far my list is:
Do's: 3 litres of water. folate (obviously). good amount of protein. pineapple/walnuts/cashews, (aid implantation?), fresh fruit & veg (are there any bad veg?), wholegrains.
Don'ts: all the good stuff: sex, alcohol, caffeine (well I am still having a tiny bit), baths. chilli (how much is too much?). exercise that gets your body temp up (i'm doing none just to be safe). Junk food. deep sea fish, soft cheese, cold meats, leftovers that haven't been reheated very hot (listeriosis).
Anything I've missed?
-
I don't know why I am feeling particularly impatient this time around....
Mindhugs - good luck with your TWW also! Sounds like we will both know either way at around the same time. I have no symptoms either, and have been reading way too much into every little twinge.
Saraz - congrats on your first ET. Hope it sticks! I am not sure whether it still applies to the TWW, but my naturopath advised me to reduce dairy and wheat as part of a pre-conception diet. Otherwise it sounds like you have the main do's and don'ts on your list.
-
Saraz - sounds like you're doing all the right things! I'm with you on the break from exercise - just to be safe ;), didn't know that chilli could be bad? I think all fruit and veg are good, but pre-made salads could lead to listeria -but you probably know that already! How long until you test?
Mindhugs - I'm with you, it's not fair :shakehead: I haven't decided what to do if this one doesn't take. I want to keep going, but it's hard to not feel as though I'm just throwing money away.
ehm - hope this is the one for you!
I have no symptoms yet. Not that I ever have, but I've never had a bfp either! Early days still I guess.
fx everyone!
-
I have spotting and cramps today, which is probably not a good sign so close to when AF is due (Friday) :shakehead:.......
Hi Kass - good luck for this one!
-
How is everyone going in here? Hope you are all well!
AF arrived today, so it doesn't look like goods news for me this time around. Will have the BT tomorrow to confirm.
-
sorry to hear that ehm - are you going ok?
Still no symptoms for me. Bt on Sun.
-
EHM - so sorry to hear that hun. Thinking of you.
AFM - I am starting to get cramps and feel like I have been steam-rollered. I think AF is coming unfortunately.
-
Hey everyone,
Speak up! I need distraction!!
;)
Mindhugs - hope so much you're wrong... I seem to have had cramps ever since ET and assume it is the crinone?
Kass - nearly there! Hope it's wonderful news! I heard that the prob with chili is if you have too much it can raise your body temp.
ehm - hugs. How was your bt?
afm - feeling mighty crummy. Wish I was in the no symptoms group! I have had smashing migraine all week & been off work. Plus cramps & tender ovaries (still feel quite uncomfy standing or walking around), slightly fevery, yukky discharge and nausea. Man I am so glamorous right now. Most of these started before ET so can't be pg symptoms unfortunately!
My clinic says if I don't have AF by Sat 17th to ring and make an appointment for a blood test. That's 17dpo. They're shut on weekends anyway so I was wondering if I should book in to my GP for it? Do clinics get offended if you get your BT elsewhere? My GP is much nicer and I'd rather hear it from her IYKWIM.
-
Kass - Hope you are well. Good luck for your BT on Sunday!
Mindhugs - I really hope your symptoms are positive ones. Fingers and toes crossed that this is cycle works for you!
Saraz - it is not unusual be really sore and knocked around after a stim cycle and EPU. I have never been really affected by the crinone, but my colleague at work who has also gone through IVF was really affected - crampy, grumpy, sore bbs, etc. I hope you are feeling better soon, and that your embie sticks nice and tight!
AFM - had my BT today and a BFN. Am obviously very disappointed, but am determined to push for additional testing to find out what is causing our repeated failures. It is really difficult having 'unexplained fertility', and our FS says that we just need to keep trying until we 'find the right embyro for us'. That is way too vague for my liking. Am also thinking of getting a second opinion........any advice on this welcome!
-
ehm, im so sorry bout your news. Im not supposed to be in here as im not on the 2ww but i like to pop in to see others news and hoping there all BFP's. I think to talk your DR is a good idea because thats where you will get the best advice when your unsure, thats where im at at the moment too, we just lost our baby at 5 weeks and i need answers as this is the 2nd one and my progesterone has been low all three cycles and im not gatting any answers which is very frustrating! because iv been given no explanations or options to help my levels. So any way i have an appointment on tues with my DR and im so glad i can finally get some answers. I hope that you get the answers you need too as it must be very hard for you to go through so many yrs of trying. I will look forward to hearing how you go xxxx
M 24 & DH 25
ICSI
STIM #1 BFN
FET #2 BFN
FET #3 BFP- Lost our little angel at 5 weeks
1 embie left in storage

Hi oneday. Thanks for your message. I am sorry to hear about your loss - I can only imagine what that would be like. I don't know a lot about treatment for low progesterone, but have you had attitional luteal support after your transfers, like crinone? I asked our FS whether he could monitor my progeterone levels, but he didn't seem to think it was necessary. He told me that low levels in the blood does not necessarily mean low levels in the uterus......would have liked him to test anyway. Anyway I hope you get your answers too! I am going to join the LT TTC & AC forum, so I might see you there.
Have a great weekend!
-
Hi ehm,
I can highly recommend getting a second opinion, if only to appease your mind that you aren't wasting time, money and energy on the process to find out some fresh eyes might find something new. Might be worth letting us know on the forum where you are incase some of the ladies can recommend someone (via PM of course). Even though I kept going with my original grumpy old FS, I got a second opinion by another FS at my clinic and even though he found nothing wrong, it made me feel better to know I had someone else be thorough. I am not really a worry wort, but unless your FS has a reason not to, it's fairly standard to give progesterone support (especially on a full cycle when your cycle is artificial, hence needs the support, but many on a frozen as well if you are using meds) unless you have been tested on both type of cycles to prove you don't need it.
Oneday - so sorry to hear your news, I hope the appointment with the doc on Tuesday gives you some answers.
-
I'm interested in a second opinion too - I haven't had any tests other than the initial bt. Last time I brought up my concerns my fs just shrugged them off with an 'eventually it will work'. Since he's not very helpful I don't know where to start - Lairdoz how did you go about arranging your second opinion? Did you need another referral?
oneday:hug: - I hope you get some answers on Tuesday
Test tomorrow - I'm tempted to buy a hpt since the wait between the test and the phone call is the hardest. Still no symptoms.
-
I think if this one doesn't work out for me we will get a 2nd opinion too. I'm assuming a new referral will be needed for FS files.
AFM - still no AF, but cramping on and off. Some weird stuff too. I'm not sure what's going on. At this stage it could be either way. I have heard that crinone can delay AF. I'm 2 days late so far.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
-
gday guys am back in the tww as of 11am this morning so just gotta try and be patient until next friday (23rd) hope everyone is well and not getting the tww crazyness lol
-
You do need to get another referral if you want a 2nd opinion, but ring and make an appointment with the FS first as you are likely to wait longer for the FS appointment that than for the GP to get a referral. I think it's insane that an FS would not test for hormonal, physical or auto-immune issues, but using IVF as the 'test' to see if we get pregnant! It is important to remember that each of our situations and medical histories are different, but I find it so strange that we are expected to spend a small fortune each attempt of IVF, when testing would cost a fraction of the cost, just be be sure.
I would highly recommend making sure that the 2nd opinion is from someone that others value, and don't always rely on your GP's recommendation, my new GP didn't know what FET was so hardly think she has any idea who is a good FS! But I guess you will always be the best judge of character.
Goodluck to everyone waiting and I'll scoot back into my hibernation, watching and hoping for some BFP's in here very soon :)
-
Well it's another negative for me. Not happy!
-
Hello Ladies,
Do you mind if I join you?
Had my transfer yesterday morning. My one and only that survived this round. I am told it is a beautiful emby so now I just have to wait til my BT on the 22nd
-
Kass: hugs chick
Wanta: Gl chick I have my bt on the 23rd
Am a little anxious about the first pregnyl booster as the trigger shot was really painful this time round I actually almost threw up instantly don't know why seeing as last round was no pain and was so good maybe it's a good sign evetrything has been completely different this time round maybe this time it'll happen.
How is everyone else doing?
-
Trueblue - Nice to see someone else on the pregnyl. Sorry to say it is a little more painful than the puregon but I would rather a moment of pain than yucky pessaries. Never thought I would say that seeing as how much I ahte needles
-
Kass & Ehm so sorry to hear that your news . Hope you are keeping well and I suppose when you are ready you'll jump back on the TTC wagon again
tru good luck with your 2WW hope that DH's little swimmers have made it and that a little embryo is starting to form
Mindhugs hope your still hanging in there fingers crossed you can change the tide of this thread.
AFM hubby was given the all clear on Friday so it was a huge relief. Spent the weekend doing the BD so hope we have managed to catch my egg so guess I'm on a natural 2WW either way I know that in a few weeks I'll be back on the IVF rollercoaster or deliriously happy that I managed to get the job done without help.
-
Wnata: I was on puregon same as last time the trigger injection and the follow up booster injections are the prgnyl ones same as last time but this round has been more painful not sure why maybe because it's nt been long since I last had the injections so skin may be a littlemore sensitive this time.
Terry: Cheers chcik the nurse said today that remember you only need one so stay hopeful and goodluck cheered me up
hope your natural tww goes well and hope you don't need to start another go of ivf
-
I don't know if i should pop in here or not i don't want to get my hopes up and jinx myself but i will need to talk to ladies going through the same agonising wait.
After 15 months of waiting and ttc and a failed PGD ivf cycle we finally had our first TF today of an A grade 8 cell beautiful texbook looking (scientist words) day 3 embryo now i am in the tww well my clinic wont do a blood test until the 2nd of August which is 3 weeks unless AF shows before then.
I am sooooo excited but also know the chances of this working are not great.
-
Thanks trueblue and terry - hope you have more luck than me (that goes for everyone else here too!)
I'm feeling pretty disappointed, not sure if I'm ready for round three yet, but I'm sure I'll be back here eventually
Good luck everyone!
-
Kass - (hugs) I am really sorry to hear your news. Take care and be good to yourself!
Mindhugs and Saraz - Hope you are both well, and have some good news for us really soon.
Good luck to all the other ladies in waiting!
Fingers crossed and lots of :pink-babydust:
-
had booster pregnyl last night didn't hurt as much as the trigger this time I swapped sides but this morning have had alot of clear mucous..... again something I didn't have last time has anyone else had this after insemination and booster pregnyl? AM hoping it's a good sign
-
Hi Everyone,
Thought I'd pop in a introduce myself, I am in the second week of my TWW. On a HRT cyscle I had a frozen embryo transfer last Tuesday 6th. We had two in storage, thawed one 3 day emb. It survived (lost 1 cell) and then progressed overnight to become a compacted embryo, I'm not sure if this is good or not, losing a cell has scared me a bit but the embryologist said its OK. I have a blood test booked for Monday 19th, I have been fairly crampy but I have never been on the pessaries before. I am currently on 8mg progynova and 2 x progestorone pessaries perday. I am crossing my fingers for this one.
Wishing all the ladies waiting a short wait with great results.
-
HI all,
Sitting here with everything crossed not only for my self but for everyone else too. Nothing new with me really. Been a bit crampy since my transfer. Hopefully that is a good sign. Who knows with this we are always looking for signs but they usually mean nothing.
Have a good day
-
wanta: did you just do iui? If so I have crampy feelings too what do yours feel; like? hope it's a good sign for the both of us.. hope we see some more bfp's in here soon
-
Trueblue - No I am in for the whole kit and kaboodle. A full stim ICSI cycle.
-
ah ok hmmm oh well still hopefully it's a good sign. Goodluck with that if this round doesn't work we'll be doing ivf so I have evrything crossed so tightly
