Airline - Congratulations! I am so for you! Well done on your BFP. Stay as long as you like. We love good news in here!
Mitf - What brilliant news! Who would have thought that your worries would have been turned around like this? I am so very happy for you and hope that the planned BT goes well for you and that your prog levels rise. Let's face it, in the scheme of things to do with pregnancy and labourm rectal pessaries are the least of your worries! You've left me some big shoes to fill but i'll do my best
Jasminstar - I have been a bit this week! My emotions have been all over the place and my cramping really strong. Just hanging now for Saturday. But enough about me - that's fantastic news about your high-tech, expensive POAS! I understand your hesitation so we'll celebrate more tomorrow! Best of luck for it. I'll be checking BB at work whenever I can Don't worry, if I was like my Mum I would have fallen pg naturally at 32 & 34! Instead I am doing IVF at 31. Take it with a grain of salt if you can. Positive thoughts...positive thoughts.....
Welcome back to TLO, Seph & Delly Doo! It's great to have you around again and that it's your time soon.
Hi to London Miss (jealous of your wine diet....it's been 40 days since my last drink.....sounds like an AA meeting!). Also a big hello to Miss K, TLO, Loops12 & Beata70.
Mrs P - So sorry about your POAS result. How did you go with your BT? I hope you're OK - I know the world works in mysterious ways and sometimes you want to shout to the sky "Is this a test?" I'm sure you are stronger than you realise. We're here for you
Hi to everyone else and thanks for all the messages of support.
BT is on Saturday and I am still cramping regularly. My stomach is so distended and the constipation is something else! I read somewhere yesterday that progesterone slows down digestion in the intestines, creating constipation so at least there is an explanation! I am like Airline in that one moment I'm quite calm and positive and then I get worried, then almost peaceful..... Very weird and strange how hormones mess you up. Hoping that I can emulate your result Airline!
WOW - Im loving these BFP's. Well done Jasminstar and Mitf
All the best - hoping your HCG levels rise and sending stickyvibes your way. Very for you both.
And looks like you might be next Taureen. Will be thinking of you and have fingers and toes crossed. GL
Sorry to not be more personal. I don't know where I'm at. AF started today 14dpiui, so right on schedule. Strangely I wasn't expecting it. Should have known we wouldn't get lucky first go. I don't know why but I POAS 10 mins ago, right before I called my FS clinic to book in the next IUI cycle. Whilst chatting to my nurse I walked into the bathroom and saw a very, very faint second line. I asked whether the pregnyl could be causing it but she said after 9 days it would be out of my system. I don't know whether to get crazy hopeful or move on? Anyone been in a similar situation? Help?!
Congrats Airline on your lovely BFP! All the best for a h&h pregnancy!
And Mitf, congratulations and wonderful vibes coming your way...except nobody ever told me about rectal pessaries. OMG. I thought hoo-ha pessaries were bad enough. Good luck for the next few days!
My thoughts are with those with BFNs too...there's really no words of comfort except that we all know what it feels like and it feels like cr*p. Big to you all.
AFM, a few twinges and crampy feelings, just enough to keep me inside my head for another day. I poas this morning (10dpo) and it was BFN. I knew it would be but had to try anyway. Am off to acupuncture this evening and if nothing else it will allow me to relax for an hour and not think about it.
Keep up those BFPs ladies, I expect more good results in the coming days.
So fantastic to see all the BFPs and probable BFPs in here right now
To those with a BFN, i know just how you feel right now as i too just got another BFN.
My blood test was due on Saturday, 16 dpo, but the clinic pushed it out to Monday because they don't work weekends. It is DPs 40th birthday on Saturday and i decided i could not tolerate the TWW during his party. Because i am a nurse it is easy for me to get bloods done, so i sent off a bhcg this morning. It came back at less than five (the lowest measurment) ie.......BFN.
I had actually been chasing my trigger out with POAS and still registered a feint BFP up until last night on FRER........ladies beware of the trigger, it can stay in your system for much longer than you think. But they were getting lighter so i knew they were FBFPs (false big fat positives)!!
So, i went into my FS office to pick up more consent forms as DP goes back overseas next monday and i need them signed before then. The receptionist said hi and asked if i thought it had worked this time, i told her i had a BFN blood test this morning and she says "but it could be a BFP come Monday" with a beaming smile. I was pretty ****ed as there is NO WAY a zero blood bhcg today can become 50+ by Saturday (when its due) and i told her so. She then said "well there is a tiny tiny chance", still beaming. Why do that???? just say "i'm sorry". Anywho, i said "well it's gonna be one drunk baby this weekend" and left. I feel bad for being snappy now.
So, another BFN. Another stim cycle with no snow bubs. Sorry for the rant. I'm just dissapointed.
Jeez, you step out for a couple of hours and it's bloody BFP central! Congratulations and good luck for the next few days/ blood tests
I am horrified by the idea of a rectal pessary (although equally pleased with the phrase 'hoo ha pessary' - that's so good and I think I shall use it at my next FS appt : ) . Got to be the French who invented the former, they like to take medicine up the ... proverbial
Mel/ Mrs P - so sorry to hear your news. Life can be really unfairly crappy. Baby dust for next time
mitf - I am so stoked for you and what a great result after you were feeling so down a happy and healthy pregnancy to you sweets!
Jasminstar - one thing this journey teaches us is that we are all different - my mum had five kids too and no m/cs and keeps saying really helpful things like...I don't know what the problem is - I just had to look at your father to get pg. The best result is a BFP a helthy pregnancy and your beautiful baby at the end...good luck darling.
Sal - it could be a slow developer or a chemical pregnancy - you will need to get a BT to confirm wither way - I hope it's good news.
Seph - Hang in there buddy - you know it's too early to POAS. Go to acupuncture and chill out for a bit.
mellmell - The line - "well it's gonna be one drunk baby this weekend" can only really be understood by women in our position - I very nearly wet myself honey - hilarious. It's her job to be positive and she probably does that for the one in 20 times she is right...I'm sorry it upset you so much.
AFM - feeling sniffly, chunky, cranky and other assorted dwarves who didn't make the cut.
Love to all
Delly
