Tantee, I just remembered your question. As I sit here pondering your question, drinking my morning cup of coffee, I am reminded that I too have often wondered the same thing. In my 3+ years of TTC, I've done everything - cutting out all alcohol, elicit drugs, coffee, caffeine, sugar, soft cheese, smoking (oh, okay, so I was never a smoker, but I still had to stop myself from becoming one!), chocolate (pfft, yeah right), exercise (did you know that any exercise could harm your unborn child? That's what I have to keep telling DH!), I have realised that no amount of cutting things out will give me a baby. Obviously there are some things that are not good for TTC, pregnancy or baby, but on the scale of things, I've got more to worry about than my one coffee per day.
I also found that cutting out my coffee just gave me a headache and made me grumpy. When you're in the TWW you don't need the added stress. I am conscious of my coffee intake, and will substitute the occasional cup of tea for a chamomile, or choose the caffeine-free soft drink. I find the stress of trying to avoid coffee is probably more damaging to my mental health than just drinking it (in moderation) and feeling good about the minor indulgence.
Oh, and check out my Avatar message. You know how I feel.
