Ovidrel symptoms??? Please help!

Well I got the phone call yesterday from the clinic and although my levels were high and I had a large number of eggs, they have decided to go through with the EPU tomorrow which I am really happy about!! I administered the Ovidrel last night and have since woken up with abdominal pains, nothing severe just like constant period pain.. I've taken panadeine about an hour ago and the pain is still there.. I've had bloating in my stomach since yesterday (all day yesterday) and I did mention it to the nurse... Is it normal to have this pain that I'm having and the bloating?? Just wondering if anybody experienced these symptoms and what the outcome was.. Thanks.

Hi Lisa, I had the 250 Ovidrel as my IUI trigger but didn't have any pains or bloating related to it. I did have aching legs for a week though which was pretty irritating.
Hope it settles soon for you.

Lisa, as you have a lot of follies, I suspect you would be in a fair amount of discomfort after trigger. I only ever had 6-10 eggs collected and always felt full, bloated and achy in the tum. In fact by the time I got to EPU, I was hunched over with the discomfort. So you must be experiencing that at a larger scale.

So yes, in my experience it's pretty normal. Some people don't feel that at all, but I always did.

Thanks Girls, I called the nurse just before and she said that it was normal... my ovaries are enlarged and she said that alone would cause the pain and swelling... so all is good!! Was worried about it being something worse.... something to make EPU not go ahead... and I just want to get there!!!!!! Thanks for your replies, much appreciated!!!
