I don't think there's much that they'll be able to see on a regular ultrasound. If you have polycystic ovaries they will show up, but they aren't necessarily an indicator of a fertility problem. It's possible to have polycystic ovaries but not have polycystic ovary syndrome, just as it is possible to have the syndrome but have ovaries of normal appearance. A regular ultrasound is unable to determine whether tubes are open - dye studies are needed for that.
