I believe IVFA has an official success rate of 45%. Please do not quote me though as I could be wrong. Previously, when I mentioned the nurse 1st suggested IVF at the beginning of my 2nd IUI cycle, she said with my age and condition (or lack thereof), that this figure of 45% will increase. Comparing this to 15-20% success rate with IUI, you can see why we ware leaning towards IVF.

I think I will book an appt with IVFA to clarify this, and other questions raised such as my high prog rate, timing of this cycle etc. You are right though, 45% still leaves a 55% failure rate. This is potentially crushing given the emotional and physical rollarcoaster this stuff puts us through. I really feel for the pain you went through on your failed IVF cycle. You are a really strong person OP.
