Hi Gargy - my FS changed me to the ER metformin cos i was having such nasty tummy upsets with the standard metformin. now i seem to have very few to no side effects from it at all. i'd probably talk to your GP about getting a script for the ER again - my GP offered it initially before FS so it's something they can prescribe. it may get better as you build up a tolerance to it, but it can be pretty uncomfy so i'd be leaning toward swapping back...

and don't fret about jumping in on the thread - you're one of us anyway if you're taking metformin!!
