    Good afternoon ladies,

Sorry I haven't been in much this week, been busy at work and trying to fill in the 2ww as much as I can. I am CD 26 now, so I guess I should know one way or the other in the next week or so. I haven't done a HPT and I am not sure whether to do one or not. I may just wait and see.

missbelinda - Thanks for the OPK's, they arrived in the mail night before last. Here's hoping that they do the trick (or even better that I don't need them at all)

LtlPanda - I have no idea how I went with my blood test as my gyno doesn't tell me any results until I ring him if AF arrives. I did ovulate last cycle and was ovulating without clomid. From the OPK's i did and also mucus levels, etc I am fairly sure that I ovulated somewhere between days 12 and 14. I don't know whether to say congartulations on the graduation to IVF or commisurations that the clomid didn't work.

Penny - Good luck with the temping and the BDing

Princess - Congrats on the BFP, it's nice to see success stories. All the best for an enjoyable pregnacy

Sammy - I hope that the US on Monday shows more promising results than the last and that you get an idea about what the sac is.

BG - How did your appointment on Wednesday go?

Hayseed - Do you have 2 50mg tabs per day or 2 100mg tabs per day? Why do you need to take two tablets?

Hope you are all doing well. I'm really looking forward to the weekend - it's been a long busy week.

    Hi everyone,

Sorry to interrupt. Just wanted to double check on some information I read on another thread, and I knew you all were the people to talk to...

My gynaecologist put me on Diabex ER 500mg just before Christmas. I had one at night initially. When it was boosted to two, I had to have one in the morning because I was having tummy upsets. Then it settled down. I was boosted again to 2 at night and 1 in the morning. The only side effect was sometimes waking at 4.30 in the morning starving hungry.

Then (because of convenience) I went back to my GP and went back to the normal Diabex without the extended release. I've noticed recently that I am rubbing my tummy a lot because of slight pain. (Unfortunately this also lead to someone asking if I was pregnant - mainly because I was wearing a baby doll style top - grr -however, side issue).

Anyway, I noticed on another thread people have had issues with tummy upsets. Could it be that because I've switched to non-ER this is happening? Will it settle down in time?

Thanks for your help, sorry once again for interrupting...

Hi Gargy - my FS changed me to the ER metformin cos i was having such nasty tummy upsets with the standard metformin. now i seem to have very few to no side effects from it at all. i'd probably talk to your GP about getting a script for the ER again - my GP offered it initially before FS so it's something they can prescribe. it may get better as you build up a tolerance to it, but it can be pretty uncomfy so i'd be leaning toward swapping back...

and don't fret about jumping in on the thread - you're one of us anyway if you're taking metformin!!

Gargy, I'm in the same boat. I've been switched back to regular metformin after being on XR for a while. Tummy pains and stomach upsets galore! The only thing keeping me slightly sane is the iron tablets I've been on. Also with the pains from IVF stimming... ARRRGGHH!! I'm definitely going to be requesting the XR metformin again when I next see a doctor.

Penny, never think that should "know it all" and because of not knowing it all, you are silly. Not true. I reckon I now know more about the ferility side of things than my GP does, but it is only because it has been such a HUGE part of my life for years. You just amass knowledge as you go along. Believe me, you'll be well versed before you know it! I never knew at all about OPKs until I read that girls on here were using them.

ATT, I am taking 2 tabs of 50mg clomid per day (so 100mg). I have no idea why I take 2 tablets....I assumed that they were only made in 50mg tablets. I can either take them together or apart. ATM I am taking them at opposite ends of the day, only because I have to take 2 tabs of oestrogen and they have to be taken seperately. So combining the clomid with them reminds me to take them. But previous clomid cycles...I took them together.

Auzzgal, very sorry to hear of your family loss. Sympathies to you.

    Hi all,it's me Penny.
Well it is now CD25 and my temps are still down and I guess I won't be O'ing this cycle huh? Thats what it seems like to me. My cycles were usally every 23-26 days and now mt temps won't even go up. Is this a side affect of the Clomid?
Also I was told to use Red Clover Tea and Fertiplex and that would help...has anyone heard of this? I'm willing to try anything.
If I read the OPK's wrong and I am preggo, wouldn't my temps have gone up by now? Is it safe to say I didn't O and AF will be here anytime?
My doc hasn't said anything about having u/s or anything so I don't know what to do...not sure if I O'd,not sure if I have 1 egg.2eggs ect...this is all a bit confusing for me! I just wish that if AF was coming she would hurry up and come on so I can see whta the doc has in store for me next.
Sorry everybody...had a bad weekend just needed to vent.
On Thursday I did something to my back and had to go to the Chirpractor I have a twisted nerve from my left shoulder blade all the way to my lung...AARRGGG!!! I have to go back in the morning so hopefully he can fix me.
Thanks for letting me vent and hope some good news comes pretty soon.
Have a wonderful day/night...all of you!
    Hugs~and babydust to all!

Hi Penny, that is no good about your back I hope the chiropractor fixes you up.
I think you should ask your Dr for a BT to check your progesterone levels to see what is going on.
I haven't heard that Clomid effects your temp.
If you haven't O'd you may not get AF for ages so I would definitely be calling your Dr to find out what is going on.
Sorry I haven't heard of Red Clover Tea or Fertiplex.
    Good Luck with your back.

Auzzgal, sorry to hear about your family loss my sympathies are with you and your family.

Gargy, welcome. Sorry I can't help with the Metformin question - I am only taking Clomid.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

    Hi Sam,
Guess what???? I came home from work today and got a positive on my OPK test.
CD26 needless to say I'm thrilled.
But...is it too late for me to get preggo this cycle? Will AF be just around the corner?
I started my AF on 3/1 took 100mg of Clomid on CD5-9 and started OPK testing on CD13
and just today CD26 got the positive. So we BD and will again tomorrow...LOL!
Just wondering if I still have a chance this cycle or not. If anyone knows please help me.
    Thanks a lot!Big HUGS to you all~
P/S My hot-flashes are getting worse also, could this mean anything? Just confused and wondering.

    Hey Penny! That is awesome.
I think there is still hope for you this month. I have heard of women Oing on CD20's and falling pregnant! Fingers crossed.
Not sure about the hot flushes though.

As for me...had my second scan last night and the doc still says there is no dominant follicle apparently just a whole heap of little ones. He said that I should wait for 3 weeks and if AF doesn't show then to call him and might have to take Provera again - but really hoping not to.
Then I will take 150mg Clomid and see if that kick starts any follicles...if not onto injections.

    Hope everyone else is well.

Sammty - sounds like your body is doing much the same as what mine did - i had no response at all to clomid, even on 150mg, so am now on injectables - here's hoping i respond better second time around than what i did first time!

Penny - it's definitely possible to O later in your cycle when you're on clomid - i've heard more than a couple of people mention late O, and some of them have been successful. fingers crossed for you hun!
