Red rash on tummy, no itching

    Hi all,

I've got annoying red spots mostly on my tummy, but some are occasionally on my breasts as well. They started appearing after 20-22 weeks, but they're worse now (I'm 33 weeks). There's practically NO itching!
The spots are small, usually no puss in them, except for very few, they aren't very raised, mainly near and above the belly button, up to my breasts.

My GP did the liver function test - it appears to be normal.
He suggested Egoderm ointment - doesn't seem to be working.

I've seen a dermatologist - he just said it is a rash related to pregnancy and prescribed me Celestone-M Cream to apply twice a day. I've just stopped using it after 2 weeks - I thought it didn't make any difference, but it seems like after I've stopped applying it, the spots got worse almost immediately...

Every since I noticed the problem, I've been using Cetaphil gel in the shower.
I've also just bought a Pinetarsol gel to try...

Maybe I'm just too impatient and should stick to one treatment for a month or so. Or just wait till after the baby is born. But it is SOOOO annoying.... I want the tummy to look nice, not spotty!

All the Internet search always gives me results about terrible itching and rash, but my spots don't make me scratch, just drive me up the wall because of the way I look like!

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Hi,

Im not sure if this will be the issue but thought i would suggest it anyway.

Are you using any other creams than what you have been prescribed? Ones for stretch marks, like Palmers Cocoa butter stretch mark cream?

Whenever i use this cream i get spots all over where i applied it. I used it fine with my first baby but every baby after that I have broken out in the rash every time i use it. So i havent even tried to use it this time.

Not sure if this is it but thought i would say anyway.

I hope you get some relief soon.

i had a spotty issue but it was on my legs it was not itchy and would go from red to purple-ish and then disapear.. i thought it was heat rash, dr said it was excema but while i was googling around i did come across a pregnancy rash that was on the belly, boobs and could spread and it only went away after giving birth!
    try looking at this?
best bet probably is to try the cream again from the dermatologist for longer to see if it works or booking another appointment to see the dermatologist. sorry not much help
    best of luck!!!
