Last time I developed sciatica at about 6 weeks... I saw quite a few different physio's, an osteo and an acupuncturist. The only thing that gave me any sort of relief was wearing a pair of wedge healed shoes. They needed a decent wedge, probably about 5cm's. But they were enough to tilt my pelvis forward so that the pressure was taken off the nerve.

At one point I was seeing a physio who specialised in pregnancy. She told me that I was the only pregnant woman she had recommended actually wear heels! But for me it really it helped. It meant I could move around with only slight discomfort, rather than agonising pain.
