How is everyone?
Jenna you make perfect sence to me. I have the same reaction to stematel. not sure of the spelling.
What you can take..... Have seen your OB or GP yet?
You will have to get a script for Zofran wafer. Mumjen has had success with pred. but is in her second trimester.
I have limited success with Zofran and I suffer side effects. But some women find relief from it.
I also tried an over the counter sleeping tablet. Called Restavit. I originally started taking it to counter the insomnia from the Zofran but ended up dropping the Zofran in favour of Restavit. I have found an enormous amount of relief from it and ended up dropping all other Meds except for real bad days. But for the most part Restavit has been great. One tablet dosn't really make me drowsey although two tablets knock me out over night and half the next day.
My Chiro's BF also takes it and is also having success. Which is where I found out about it. Like all meds run it past your DR's first. Mine didn't have any dramas with me taking it. I started taking it about 9 weeks. I now take one tablet morning and night.
Except bad days I'm back to Zofran and Maxalon.
Restavit is over the counter but you will have to present photo id to pharmasist before they will give it to you.
Have you checked out the help her.org site? There are a few meds on there and info as well.
Update now 16 weeks
woo hoo second trimester. Still sick most days and the days I'm not sick I'm very nausious and wishing I was sick just to see an end to that feeling even if only for those few precious moments.
Still very tired even when I'm not taking Restavit and have stopped driving as I don't feel safe at all.
A bit worried about Christmas have absolutely no CHristmas gifts at all and although most know I'm sick my kids will be very disapointed if I don't do some soon, but just don't want to face the shops with an emesis bag and "those looks" As for online shopping will the purchase get to us before the day? Hmmmmm
Mums been doing all the housework but the house still looks like a bomb and no one can find a thing. Including underware yet she becomes hostile when we call her and ask what she has done with the item we are looking for. Can not figure out why she had to reorganise my house for her. Next time hubbie wakes me at 5am and asks me where his work shirts are I'm going to call her and ask her what she did with them. Maybe she'll stop reorganising my house. As for the kitchen table, there is a whole heap of stuff piled high on it. We can not eat at it and heaven forbid we clean it off for fear of reprisal from Mother. I'm literaly a prisoner in my own home or at least it feels like it.
