thanks for that. so far, has not been an issue with this preg, i used to have lots of 'my bits are falling out' feelings (physically as well) while af was visiting..
So far so good thou, but, after this preg, once we decide if we are to stop at 2, will perhaps see what can be done to fix it more permantly, as i hate that feeling.

Go see your dr, sweety. It's something that you shouldn't have to guess about. Honestly, when you are pregnant there are so many weirdo aches, pains and odd feelings. I am sure your description won't make them think you're crazy. And it'll be a load off your mind, and possibly depending on what is causing the feeling they may be able to fix it for you. All good, I reckon! GL.

    Hi,

I agree with everyone else, get it checked out!

I didnt have a prolapse in my second pregnancy however I did have a pain like the one you describe often. I was carrying twins and I presume one of them was sitting/hitting nerves when I sat or stood certain ways.

I am glad to say mine is gone completely however reading your description made me remember it well.

Please get it checked but I wish you all the best

just to throw my 2 cents worth in! I had a vaginal prolapse half way through my PG... and ended up being carted off to hossie by ambo, cos they were worried it was a cord or amniotic sac prolapse (told me bubba wouldn't make it !!!! EEEP ).... turned out to be just a vaginal prolapse (hmm there's a phrase!), brought on by straining with constipation. So bubba was fine (we went home in a state of minor shock! Since then talking to all sorts of people about "my vagina falling out", i've gleaned the following info.

There are three types of prolapse (as far as I know!) - vaginal prolapse can be from front (bladder) or rear (rectal) or a uterine prolapse. There's various degrees of prolapse through to actually sticking right out & being visible (this was me!! ). At a lesser extent it can result in a dragging or heavy feeling (which i have still continued to experience occassionally). Esssentially being pregnant or straining can cause it - and it's tissue/ligaments that stretch. You can't train this tissue back again, but it WILL improve over time, and having really good pelvic floor muscles can help... essentially they're the sling that holds it all in place... so if they're strong, that will help the whole area IYKWIM! The jury is out on whether vaginal birth will really make it that much worse (depends on how many bubbas you plan to have). My obs basically said the damage was already done for me, might as well go vaginal anyway (which I did).

So... treatment options. See a good continence physio (I know some in melb if anyone wants to know who PM me) and make sure you get it assessed properly and work out what you can do. Like someone else said they can put a rubber ring thing in (my obs provided this as an option for me during my PG) or they can do surgery if it's problematic - they put a mesh thingo in to hold it all in place. Now most of my experience is with a vaginal prolapse (bladder) so I don't know how much it would vary if it's uterine... but that's my info dump - hope it's helpful

And definitely agree with the others, get it checked out you don't wnat to have a scare like I had! And you might want to be pretty careful to avoid straining too.

    GL with it all!
