Pregnant women are more prone to clotting disorders than non-pregnant women. Should they have a certain genetic makeup that further increases clotting problems, these women become even more at risk for clotting disorders and miscarriage. The fact that some pregnant women take Clexane does NOT indicate they DO have this disorder, and I have included this for your information only.
Clexane is not expected to increase the risk of developmental
abnormalities.
Clexane does not cross the placenta, based on human and
animal studies, and shows no evidence of teratogenic effects or
fetotoxicity.
Be sure the baby’s pediatrician doctor and midwife is aware that you are on Clexane during pregnancy, so the baby can be properly assessed
at birth.
Clexane also increases the chance of bleeding so if you notice enything like nose bleeds, blood when you cough, bleeding when you go to the toilet, or even a bruise that you dont know how you got it, it is importand that you soo a doctor.
