I had Fragmin (another Low Molecular Weight Heparin) injections throughout my first pregnancy and for about seven weeks post delivery and I am starting them again tomorrow for pregnancy no 2. I am also taking Aspirin until about 36 weeks. I have Antiphospholipid Syndrome.
It is very hard when the Dr's tell you not to get excited about the pregnancy because the outcome is uncertain. It must be frustrating not having a diagnosis for your recurrent pregnancy loss and this must further compound your anxiety.
Are you seeing an OB who specialises in high risk pregnancy? I now try to avoid searching for information about my condition and the side effects of the medications I take and leave it in the hands of my specialists.
About the injecting itself, the first needle is definitely the worst. After the first one it becomes second nature. Each day I watch the sharps container filling and know that hopefully I am one step closer to delivery of a healthy baby.
I will be thinking about you as I inject myself each morning and hoping for the best for you.
