Help me remember to take my medication!

I have Hashimoto's Disease and as a result I have to take medication every day, but the problem is that I keep forgetting. If I forget twice in a week I am written off for five days to a week with complete exhaustion, one I can manage without.

So how do you remember to take your meds? Bearing in mind that I have to have them at least 2 hours after food & 1/2 an hour before food.

Set an alarm on your mobile phone? that's what I do if I need to remember something or keept them near your glasses so you see them and remember to take them when you put your glasses on.

Definitely set an alarm on your phone, have the first one go off and then another 10 minutes after that

It sounds really bad, but Aricyn actually reminds me to take my vitamin. He takes a vitamin every morning, and always asks me - "mummy taking her vitamin?"

Maybe get vitamins for your DS and he can remind you.. lol

I used to put an alarm on my phone for my TTC meds, and then my pregnancy vitamins. It was the ony way I could remember!

Think of something in your routine that you are doing at the times you should be taking them. Then either put them there (if practical) or put a note to yourself there. Somewhere like sitting them beside your toothbrush. You are unlikely to use that within 2 hours of eating

I have an alarm set on my mobile to remind me to take the pill. would an alarm work, or maybe leave a note to yourself somewhere you will see it often, like on the fridge or bathroom mirror or something?

When I was TTC I had a rough time taking my temp each morning but I found that when I started 'reporting' on it each day in the TTC threads in BB it came more of a thing that I remembered to do... it might sound silly but what about if you 'reported' to a BB thread about your medication taking each day???

As I said it might sound silly but is just the sort of thing that would work for me

I have to take medication daily and find the best time is at night after I brush my teeth! I always wait a couple of hours after dinner before brushing my teeth just in case I want to have a treat like ice-cream or something. And I never make it straight to bed after brushing my teeth as I am getting clothes or bags or something like that ready for the next day.
