Think of something in your routine that you are doing at the times you should be taking them. Then either put them there (if practical) or put a note to yourself there. Somewhere like sitting them beside your toothbrush. You are unlikely to use that within 2 hours of eating
I have an alarm set on my mobile to remind me to take the pill. would an alarm work, or maybe leave a note to yourself somewhere you will see it often, like on the fridge or bathroom mirror or something?
When I was TTC I had a rough time taking my temp each morning but I found that when I started 'reporting' on it each day in the TTC threads in BB it came more of a thing that I remembered to do... it might sound silly but what about if you 'reported' to a BB thread about your medication taking each day???
As I said it might sound silly but is just the sort of thing that would work for me
Sarah my husband has Hashimoto's Disease too he keeps his medication in the fridge with a laminated reminder on the fridge and as he is the cook in the house he is at the fridge before meals and as he is cleaning the kitchen it seems to have worked for him he has forgotten a couple of times but over all it has been successful. if that is any help ??
I am another one for the mobile phone alarm, and if you cant take it when the alarm goes off, make sure you set another alarm for when you can take it, so you remember... Don't assume you will just remember...
I hated taking mine Sarah, I hear ya.
I agree on the routine thing though. Make it part of the same thing you do everyday. I took mine as soon as I got up, then made beds, dressed the kids, got Darcy's brekkie, made mine and then half an hour was up and I could eat.
The alarm on the phone is a great idea and most phones have the option to have the same reminder go off everyday. The way i remember my medication is i have it on top of my fridge and so when i am organising dinner i see it up there and i know to have it after dinner.
