lump in breast

Have a few questions for those who have been there.

For a few months now I have felt *something* in my right breat - not a lump so much as a hard/weird feeling. I do my breat checks at the same time each month plus I have been doing a few extras to see if it changes. There is also a bit of a swelling in my arm pit but not sure if it is normal or not???

Anyway stopped BF about 2-3mths ago and last night DH felt something in the same breast. He said it felt like a definite lump. I have had a bit of a hunt around all day for it today and can't "really" find anything lumpish???

What does a 'lump' feel like. This is more of a log shaped thing. Most people you hear talking about a pea shaped lump?? Does this means it's just normal breast tissue???

I went to make an appointment 3 times today but felt stupid going to the dr if I can't really pinpoint where it is???

you know what hon...better safe then sorry.

MIL had something that felt unusual..more annoying to her then anything.....went to the doctor and had the lump removed and yep it was cancer...early stages but it was caught. She had radio therapy and now is on drugs for five years.

If your asking quiet obviously its a gutt feeling osmething isnt right...please get on that blasted phone tomorrow and make the appointment

You should get any changes in your breasts checked out. Better safe than sorry

Yep, don't feel silly - the silly thing would be to ignore it. Probably the dr will say no worries, go home, but at least you'll know. All the best.

hun. It's so hard to know what to do isn't it? From someone who has had a pre-cancerous lump removed, I really think you should go and have it checked out. No-one is going to think you are silly if it turns out to be nothing. It is always better to be safe than sorry hun.

I certainly hope that it is nothing to worry about, but please have it checked. Best of luck hun.

Thanks gals - have made an appointment with my dr but can't get in for a month. Damn it - just realised we will be in Brissie by then. Bugger - might have to scout around for another dr just for this.

Exactly the same thing happenedto my mum. Good advice MAZ. Please take this advice because it really is better to be safe than sorry. Be thinking about you. Good Luck xx
