i am a chronic migrane sufferer
they got worse after i had DS2- and i was getting one at least twice a week there for a bit!!!
mine usually last anything from few hours to a few days- and then i have the hangover for the next day as well
i vomit, have an extreemely bad head pain, cant stand light and my whole body is like a ball of tightness, especially my neck.
great to have when you are looking after kids hey!
i am now on a preventative tablet that i take twice a day and it is safe when preggers and breastfeeding!! Its awesome- its a beta blocker - the one that i am on is called deralin. it doesnt stop my migranes but it stops the symptoms. Today i started to get a migrane, so i had the vagueness feeling a migrane brings, but no nausea and head pain was minimal. its strange!!
for me medication that i take when i have a migrane at the moment as i am still b/feeding are
panadeine, and if necessary an ibprofen as well
although ibprofen is best to stay away from when feeding, sometimes i have to - they say it hasnt been proven safe, but not proven unsafe!!
also voltaren works for me - it safe when b/feeding- i get bad neck pain and that is how my migranes start so if i can get rid of the neck pain when it starts, it can help!
migranes suck!! they are debilitating but for me a part of life
damm hormones!!
