threads/tampons and pain

I have never needed to use tampons since having the Mirena put in, I only ever spot very lightly, Have you tried to feel for threads since the pain?

yep i could feel them the other day! AF is heavier and still bleeding i have another thread on it now too!

Weird, It can take a while to settle, my experience may be slighlty different as I had it done when L was 8 weeks, I am getting spotting for the past two months which i assume is AF it last half a day just wear a liner,
It may take a few months hang in there!!

dr said because i had it in so long after DD2 that i would have more bleeding compared to someone who had it done much earlier!

Yup Doc said you should be able to feel the string certain times of month.
Pain with tampon in not sure.. never heard of that sorry.

If you still have bad bad bad pain.. then I would go see doc.. but having it move. is very very uncommon.

I had an IUD for years and it actually stopped my period all together. I know that the docs told me to check regularly for the string to make sure that it is stays the same length. For years I had no problems and didn't need to worry about the monthly cycle or mood swings, it was great.
It is possible that it can move or even come out but this never happened to me. Although, after years of using it, I started getting regular occuring pains about the cervix, so much that I would stop whatever I am doing and not move until the pain had gone. I have had many tests done and nothing was found from these tests. I changed to different IUD's but the pain kept coming and going. I'm now not using one, but eventually will go back to it I think. Nothing else really works well for me.
Maybe stick with pads for the moment and if you are worried or cannot feel the string, go back to your doc.
Also, my Hubby would sometimes complain about the string. One of those things unfortunately.
