Oh hun I am so sorry for your loss.... I am not sure as I have only had an ectopic .... but just wanted to send you a big hug xoxox
Hi, I have been bleeding for 8 days now. I know that this is normal (m/c at 5 weeks) but yesterday it was almost gone and today it's heavyish and crampy. Also the pains are mostly from my right ovary area.
Is this normal?

I'm so sorry hun. I bleed for 10 days after my 5ish week losses. The pain in your right side may be abit of a worry, did they check your tubes? Lots of love xxxxxx
if the pain persists, get it checked out hun
bleeding for anywhere up to a couple of weeks is normal (well, for me it is) - our last was around the 6-7 week mark and i bled very heavily for about 8 days, and then lighter for another week after that. i cramped a lot, and had pain primarily on my right side as well - it wasn't a tubal pregnancy, it was related to a cyst right beside my right ovary
Tasha have you had your HCG tested lately? If it is still rising or not decreasing your might need a D&C. With my m/c's I bled for 7days and 10days and with my ectopic preganancy the bleeding came and went. Nothing with my ectopic was seen on the scan until I was almost 9weeks pregnant.
Thanks ladies, If the pains get worse I will get it checked out, they come and go on the right hand side.
briggsy's girl, When I had scans when we started ttc, the ultrasound lady said I was borderline PCOS. And when i took my BT to my OB/GYN he didn't say anything about PCOS. I have always had irregular cycles so I was sure I had it. I have always wondered about cysts, my mum had cysts too. Even on clomid I always had O pains mostly on the right hand side, and bad O pains for the first few months.
to diagnose PCOS you'd need to have hormone BT's as well as the scan - you can have PCO without PCOS
the cyst that gives me grief is actually right beside my ovary - so when i ovulate on that side, the pressure from the follicle on my ovary is a lot more painful. one of the many quirks of me i guess!
the drop in HCG is hard to be able to judge - i would suggest if you hit two weeks and still bleeding that you get the test anywhere to make sure it is continuing to drop properly
Maybe thats what I have? I had a heap of BT done and I had internal u/s when we had been ttc for a year. I will see a new GP when i get more BT, my current one is not very thorough
Thanks again![]()
GP's can be ummmmmm totally useless in diagnosing "lady problems" - i had to demand a referral to gyne for ongoing bleeding issues because my GP wanted to blame it all on breastfeeding (what a crock) - maybe see if you can get a referral to a gyne to get properly investigated
I know! Most are useless. I already did, i see an OB/GYN, thats who put me on clomid. I have done 6 months and no luck so this is my second natural cycle since i stopped clomid.
I don't use my OB/GYN all the time because I have to wait to see him and pay every time, so I just went to the GP to confirm the pregnancy/miscarriage. I am going to book in to see a naturopath that has been recommended to me if we don't have any luck next cycle, try something different.
we added acupuncture the cycle we conceived DD (i never o'd on clomid, and needed high levels of drugs for stimulated cycles) - it was worth the extra dollars!
I'm so sorry for your loss hun *hugs*
With my first 6 losses I only bled for 7 days, and in the last couple of days it would die off and then come back again.
With my last loss it was only a little over 2 months after I had my DD, and I bled for 10 days and it stopped and started several times a day for the last 3 days.
I hope you can get some answers soon hun *hugs*
Thanks, my bleeding died off and then the last couple of days came back. But today it's brownish and very light. I hope this means it's coming to an end!
Tasha I'm so sorry to hear about you loss hugs to you. I had a m/c at 6 weeks last year and bleed on and off for 10 days with heavy and light days with lots of cramping also in March I gave birth at 35wks to a beautiful baby girl Char-leigh who sadly was granted her angel wings and I bleed the same on and off heavy to light and cramping for 3 weeks. Have since had 4 AF and they all have been pretty light and only lasting for 3 days but now I'm having the cramping for the whole time they are here.
Keep your chin up
