hello everyone,

yesterday was the dreaded day where after one very small spot of blood, went to get an Ultra Sound and found that that my little one went to see the angels. THe Dr who gave us the news at the Ultra sound place said we would most likely wait to "pass it" and the be sent for an US to see everything is gone. However, he said we should go back and see our GP who I had seen that morning. DH and I went back to the GP (a different one as mine had gone home already) was given a ref letter to go to emergency and get a D&C. The GP advised that some hospitals will just send you home as I appear to be "no or low risk" I've has some cramping but no big blood loss, heck no blood loss other than the little brown spot in my underwear. I was 7 1/2 wks pregnant. I was told to go to Westmead as opposed to Blacktown as Blacktown was for sure going to send me home.

I had a read about D&C..is it a procedure I really need? i read after effects can affect future pregnancies if not done properly..is it standard to just get it done when you have a m/c?

Any help would be good, is it better to let nature run its course or go wait at the hospital and get a D&C and hopefully they will perform it and not send me home?!?!

Any help or comment would be appreciated.
