Laurin, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I had a similar situation last year and I did not require a D&C. I didn't bleed for that long, a few days of heavy clotting and painful bleeding but then just spotting afterwards. I had blood tests to confirm that my HCG levels were continuing to decrease.
